My forms get very long when I add the descriptions in them. I’d like the ability to add a description, but have an icon that the user can click or hover over to pop up a description of the field. So I am using airtable to track, document and collaborate around our new product development process. Included in the work flow are rfq tables for our vendors to quote the manufacture our new products. Currently I am sharing views to each vendor so they can download a csv of the rfq along with art files, drawings, CAD files etc… They will then return quotes which we must enter back into the data base. I really really really wish I could share a limited editable view with each vendor so they could enter their quotes directly into the base!! I have experimented with creating separate free bases for each vendor to enter the data however it is still time consuming and confusing (errors) to copy and paste data back and forth between bases. I currently have a base that is used as a kind of a customer service portal for managers on duty, where they log calls and look up information that helps them respond to queries. I use the “Base Description” to record any updates I’ve added that day and remind people to check it, but it’d be very useful if you can set this or some kind of pop up reminder that shows every time someone logs in. ... This happens a lot: I create a view using a filter. I’d like to add records to the view. But I’ve lost the ability to see the filtered out records, so I can’t edit them without going to another view. Wanted: an affordance to let me see the filtered out records - inactive. I.e. they could be sorted to the bottom, greyed out. Then I could edit them and have them appear ‘active’ in the view. ...
