Amazing Airtable team, please give us folders to organize those Automations. I have about 50 and have to plow through them. Ideally I would like to organize the automatons into folders and (in my case) I would name the folder similarly as the tables names where the automations are being used. That would make it easier to find the right automation I am looking for.

hey, Linked fields populated by formula !!!!!! I think it's so obvious and self-explanatory for everyone that has ever dealt with relational databases. this is a feature needed for yesterday, it just makes no sense we need to use all those workarounds and automations to get there, and although product is already so advance this is still not available :((

I would like to request the ability to bulk delete views. For my business, I create 30+ views to manage smaller segments of data. I do this for the purpose of creating embed codes to display on my website. This data changes seasonally, so each change in season I have to delete older views. This can be cumbersome, as I have to navigate to each individual view and delete them one at a time.
Perhaps there could be a checkbox function in the view list that allows me to select multiple views and then delete them from the view dropdown, rather than just in the individual view options?

What is the proposed idea/solution? When using a bar chart, when a date field is selected as the X-axis, there should be an option to not only list all the dates for a record, but to think of that axis as a timeline, where all dates are represented not just ones that exist in a record. How does is solve the user problems? I want to track usage of an asset over time. The Y axis is usage in hours, the X axis is a date, the records contain a field for date and a single time for hours. There are many days when the asset is not used. I would like those blank days to be reflected in X-axis; I do not want to work around that would have a record for every day, records only exist for days where there is usage. How was this validated? ... Who is the target audience? Users who have date fields whose records do not contain all of the dates in a given time period, who would like a true timeline view but for data that varies over time where a timeline chart is insufficient.

Airtable today supports the linking of one table to another via a field, but that field must be populated either by:
Having the user key/select the appropriate value in the linked field
Using a manual process to occasionally populate data (i.e. copy/paste)
Using a 3rd party service like Zapier or Integromat to listen for record changes and populate the value
Option 1 works, but can be annoyingly inefficient from a data entry perspective.
Option 2 is too kludgy and isn’t practical for anything beyond a 1 time data population.
Option 3 adds complexity and the need to learn/bring in another system.
Ideally, there’d be a way to auto-populate the Linked Field using a formula. The linking would either find a correlated record in the linked table, or if none found, then create a new record.

I think it would be nice to have the option to hyperlink with different text showing, like any basic HTML hyperlinking. Like I can even do in this forum if I needed to.
Visually, having the url just there isn’t appealing.

It would be great if it was possible to FORMAT TEXT (fonts, colors, bold, italics), CELLS (left, right, center alignment, background colors), and BORDERS (bold or dashed lines, colors) within tables. The ability to add extra header lines and/or to FREEZE more cells vertically and horizontally would help, too.
I really like the idea of Airtable, but can’t effectively use it over Excel until it has more functionality.

As an Airtable partner, it would be nice to be able to embed external content into Airtable. Although the platform is very flexible, it cannot do everything. By embedding external content, we can build an app interface with infinite possibilities! For example, a Miro board would enable project managers to have a digital whiteboard while leading meetings and taking notes. Hope my feedback makes it to the right person 🙂

What is the proposed idea/solution? On Interfaces, I would love for a user to be able to hover over an element and see the set of conditions/filters that are acting on the element. How does is solve the user problems? I often create dashboards that summarize data for my colleagues. My colleagues are not comfortable going into edit mode to see how an element was configured. Nonetheless, they may be interested in understanding what data a number element, for example, is drawing from. This would allow them to learn that without having to enter edit mode. How was this validated? Haven't validated it at scale, but I see this as a hurdle for my team regularly. The person who constructed the interface dashboard is the only one who really understands what the various elements mean Who is the target audience? Users of interfaces ...

I find this feature invaluable in Excel, and I would love to see it implemented for Airtable. Currently the only conditional format coloring option just sticks a little colored box next to the main record name. For my team’s purposes, that’s not particularly useful. What would be awesome is if we could get individually colored cells - here’s a couple examples if a cell contains the word “hello”, that cell is colored green in the background if a cell contains a date that is within the next 2 days, that cell is colored red. I’d also love an option to shut off automatic coloring when something is grouped/sorted/filtered, as it’s distracting and not always necessary… but I guess that’s a product suggestion for a different post 🙂
