Would it be possible to make it impossible to create blank records in Airtable - it’s so easy to create these that bases become littered with them. It’s even worse if you accidentally add a record in a grouped view because linked record are created which are otherwise blank.
One way to do this would be to give the user the option of making one or more fields ‘required’ - and without them the record would not submit.
I find having to constantly delete such empty records quite annoying!

What is the proposed idea/solution? Being able to filter by current user in the main database (like you can in interfaces) would save me having to create custom views for our 15 staff members for 6 different tables (90 views). AirTable obviously has the infrastructure to do this since they already do it in interfaces. Why not have that same functionality in the tables? ... How does is solve the user problems? ... How was this validated? ... Who is the target audience? ...

What is the proposed idea/solution? I love using Airtable for work, but find that there are many personal applications as well. Instead of paying $20 a month for a "Team" plan for just myself, which is excessive, I wish there was an "Individual" plan. It would have similar limitations to the free tier, but unlock: 10,000 records per base 2 gb attachment space per base 3 month revision history Expanded color and formatting 1,000 automations per month This would all cost around $5 USD a month How does is solve the user problems? This allows for expanded functionality of Airtable for personal use, capturing a new market segment, while not offering too many features to eat into the sales of "Team" subscriptions. It would help personal organization with more colors, more automations, and more safety from accidental deletions without being excessive like the Team plan How was this validated? This idea has not been validated further than my own use cases and desires. It seems like a reasonable missing pricing tier though that could be a win-win, giving users more functionality while also not adding too much overhead in terms of cost for Airtable Who is the target audience? Individual, personal users

What is the proposed idea/solution? Allow users to edit certain fields directly from the Kanban card without needing to open the card. Currently the only field that can be edited is the single select field that groups the cards (a user can drag and drop the card and edit that field). All other fields need to be edited by opening the record. This request is both for Views and Interfaces. How does is solve the user problems? For "Trello" minded users this is a must because they are used to making quick changes on a card without needing to leave the kanvan view. How was this validated? ... Who is the target audience? Kanvan / Trello minded users

Hey folks, thanks for a great product.
Simple request: Can you please incorporate the ability to create colored and/or highlighted fields? I’d like to call out certain rows within sheets. With the inferior, last generation sheets programs (shameless sucking up) I’d always used colors for this purpose. I realize I could use a column for this, but its a waste of a column in my mind, especially if you are trying to avoid scrolling left to right.
Thanks for consideration.

Unless Im missing it, I would like the ability to lock changes to fields in a base and/or records. Would help prevent accidental deletion. I discovered several days later I had done this…

I know we now have shareable blocks which is great. What i’d like to do is be able to share/embed a dashboard containing many blocks. The idea is to use something like https://screen.cloud and embed the dashboard as “one page” of the digital signage to be displayed on a large TV in the office. It seems that Airtable creates a specific “shareable” link when a block is shared. Normal Airtable links will not embed in the same way. I’m hopeful we can add this feature and curious how others have found solutions to share the information in their Airtable dashboards on TV signage?

I need a way to archive the bases. We collect Survey data among other metrics via air table, for a growing company. I know that we could move them to another workspace, but I don't believe that would work since they are currently on the pro plan and would have to be moved over to a workspace on the free plan. We still want to keep the data as is and accessible. If we can't archive is there a way to create folders to separate bases? I would love that, not only to have an archive folder but to better organize my currently used bases as well.

Current problem: When submitting a new record, the Microsoft Teams automation generates a message to a specified channel, but there is no ability to include "@ general" to notify the team assigned to the channel. Proposed solution: I would like the ability to include an @ mention in the automated Microsoft Teams channel message when a record is submitted. I would also like the ability to generate a direct message to a user rather than a post to a channel.

What is the proposed idea/solution? Make revision history in the comments field available in all interface types. I have a couple record review interfaces that I can't get revision history to show in the comments fields. How does is solve the user problems? Gives the same access in all interfaces rather than having to change interfaces when Im in a record to see the revision history. Should only be a few minutes of programming to accomplish and make a big impact.
