On a computer I can select multiple records, press CMD-C go into a different table and press CMD-V to paste the selected records into that new table. Is there any way to copy and paste records from within the IOS app? Otherwise, are there any plans to allow ios users to be able to log into the Airtable website from a browser to view the Desktop version of airtable? Or give us a spreadsheet view from the ios app? I really enjoy the app, no question, but I have an ipad pro with a keyboard and its so painful sometimes to not have access to the spreadsheet and that extended functionality it comes with. Today I hit my maximum number of automations which is 25 in case you are unaware as I was. It would be great if there was a way to upgrade that number with a fee. Or if the limit was a bit higher. Of if there was a "you have x number automations left’ message so I wasn’t to be caught unaware. Unfortunately my master plan of fully automating my use cases cannot be implemented as I had hoped. I love the ability to display Single-select and Multi-select fields as either a list or dropdown in forms, as it provides a much better visual indication of the options and just a better UX for survey respondents. However, this cannot yet be done for Linked Record fields, which makes their usage awkward in surveys (the options aren’t as discoverable and for a survey question that allows multiple-selection, a user has to manually click the “+ Add” button each time and select their choices vs. being able to select from a list all at once). I realize row height selection has been made possible to address this but I don’t think it really solves the problem. If I have a cell that’s just one line longer than the extra-tall it’ll still be cut off and have to be manually expanded. Not to mention if I have everything at extra-tall, many rows take up a huge amount of dead air space eventhough they don’t need it because they don’t have much text. For visual ease-of-use, I’ve found this a huge barrier to get teams on board with using an airtable version because at a glance it is harder to review and scroll through (people don’t like to click things or view things one at a time). I understand it’s more beautiful with exact consistent row heights, but can we have an extra option that is not default under “extra tall” that is “dynamic/variable/whatever word you choose” that just expands to the height of the text? It seems that filepicker.io has gone defunct, and is no longer a viable option for an in-app file-selection API. @Airtable, please update your file-selection to use a more updated API, device native API’s, or else a custom solution that meets users needs on Android and iOS (and the upcoming iPadOS). It’s now basically impossible to upload a PDF (as a PDF) to a record’s Attachment field in Airtable on an iOS device, which is pretty frustrating. Uploading scanned pdf files to airtable using IOS Ask the community I noticed this recently too, @zola_mzimba – I cannot access Google Drive anymore. The thing is, it’s not actually Airtable’s problem, nor can they directly fix any issues in that interface, because that interface is actually another app called Filepicker. Airtable is only using their API inside their iOS app, presumably so that they don’t have to write their own file-selection functionality. However, Filepicker.io appears to have gone defunct, and possibly been purchased/supplanted by filestac… iCloud File Picker Product Suggestions This is a #feature-requests specific to #ios - @Airtable_Team I’d like to see iCloud, ie, the native iOS Files app, as an option in the File Picker menu for Attachment fields. This product would be very useful for both higher education and P-12 applications if it was FERPA compliant. FERPA came up a few times in the HIPPA section, but it is worth examining on its own as FERPA compliance is likely more of a contractual issue than a technical issue. Schools (P-12 and higher ed.) have a responsibility to keep student data private and only contact with software companies who agree contractually to abide by the same data responsibilities. Perhaps Airtable already has all the technical data controls needed to be FERPA compliant and the only issue is the necessary contractual guarantees to meet educational standards. The educational software market is a massive multi-billion dollar market and growing rapidly … in case you are worried about the returns from putting in a bit of work on this. Partly because of the FERPA issues, the current data solutions in education are poor. There are either massive, unwieldily databases like Student Information Systems or folks at the department/school/classroom level trying to build excel sheets to manage all the data.
