I’d like to suggest and request a new, COLOR field, that can be set to accept various color values/standards, previewing the resulting color full-cell.
At minimum, I’d expect this field to support the same color strings/syntax as the current Color Palette block, but ideally many more color standards. A deal with Pantone/X-Rite would allow PMS/TCX lookup, something we’ve had to build-out manually, and without the benefit of any real end-to-end color management.
Adding this would make Airtable the immediate leader within the creative/product sector. We deal with color calculations daily.
Thanks!!
A.

Hello, can we please request the ability to create an expandable section block within the long-text field type when formatting is turned ON?
Why this is useful: If I have a long text that spans multiple lines, I want the ability to “minimize” it so I can create sections in my notes, some that are expandable.

What is the proposed idea/solution? For film production, we need the ability to sum durations that are 24 frames per second. HOURS:MINUTES:SECONDS:FRAMES With the current 00:00:00 format, it does not calculate accurately. ... How does is solve the user problems? With the current duration formatting we can come close, but not be exact when summing TRT from multiple fields. A timecode format would allow accurate calculations. ... How was this validated? Currently there's no way to tell AT that after 24 frames it's a new second. ... Who is the target audience? film production and editorial users ...

Activate an option to scroll horizontally with the mouse wheel. Useful on table view when having lots of fields.

I would really like the ability to create or edit fields with a formula on the Android app. Currently, this is only available on desktop. Even if I create the field as a formula on desktop, I cannot edit the formula on the mobile app.

Increasing the number of automations in a base was awesome! They doubled, which saved me from having to find other solutions. I’m VERY thankful for that. Increasing storage based on plan would be an incredible next step. The pricing structure versus what you get for storage has a huge disparity. Free plans get two Plus gets five Pro gets twenty And enterprise gets one thousand. Pro is in need of a horsepower upgrade - we use Airtable enough to need enterprise, but its price is a cliff. I think the storage should be somewhere around this per base: Free plans get two Plus gets twenty Pro gets fifty And enterprise gets one thousand. I’d take more, but that feels like an absolute minimum. I’d love a way to increase storage on a base, or at least have an option for 100gb or so that we would want so that we don’t have to think about storage or the logistics of hosting it elsewhere. As a database, it is supposed to be our one source of truth. This makes it way easier having the media we need hosted here. A 20gb limit hamstrings that intention. Sure, it’s solved with more bases, but that is annoying and confusing for the end user.

I realise that this must feel like old ground and a Iknow a lot of poeple have been begging for this for a long time and I know you think were very pleased to announce you’d fixed it - but certainly with regardless the long discussions earlier in the eyar - you obvsiously werent’ reading it properly. Taht group weren’t asking to embed stuff IN airtable - why would you want ot do that when you can only share it with users or put it in the programme. This content is made to be published obviously !!! And these days for most of us that means in our website. bAsically you’ve developed a lovely dashboarding tool but wont let us actually use it. We want to embed blocks and the pages they are in in our EXTERNAL WEBSITE. not the other way round. And no, the embed one block with the table isnt’t he answer and no just being able to view a picture isn’t the answer - integrated, live data from airtable into our websites pLEASE

In Airtable, I have tables with many columns – between 50 and 150 columns. Many people are modifying various fields in each record all the time. Let’s say you have 20 people simultaneously changing separate fields within a single record.
Now, when I want to review revision history for a given record, I usually only want to see relevant changes to one single field/column for that record. Right now, I have to paginate and filter out changes for all extraneous fields/columns to find specific changes to one specific field/column.
This process is really annoying.
I’d like a way to either:
Show just revisions to a specific field/column for a specific record OR
At least some sort of filter mechanism in the revision history view of the record, in order to filter out irrelevant changes to other fields/columns that I’m not interested in OR
If you are viewing the record details from a view that has specific fields/columns hidden in the view, then by definition, hide any changes pertaining to hidden fields/columns because they are not relevant for the user – in other words, if users want to see revision changes to specific fields/columns in a record, they would need to make sure those fields/columns are not hidden in the corresponding view. You could then create like a checkbox in the revision history view – something like: “ Hide Field Changes By View”. That way, it would be easy for users to switch between seeing all field/column changes versus seeing only field/column changes relevant to a particular view.
