When a given field/cell contains a URL to an image file, it should display as the image or thumbnail of image, not as a text hyperlink.
This is particularly important if using URL formulas to ping barcode-generation APIs. We get the barcodes we need, but we can’t bring them back into Airtable.
Of course, this is all a workaround for the fact that the Barcode field format is input-only. It can do barcode-to-string, but not string to barcode; at least what I can tell.
I hope there is momentum behind this use-case; I imagine everyone managing any sorta inventory needs barcode images in-line, and ideally scannable once printed.

I’m the primary builder of our team’s base, and I want my team members to feel more comfortable contributing records.
In a single base, it would be tremendously helpful to have space in the GUI for adding documentation about specific base elements such as…
individual tables - i would use this to explain the purpose of a table, identify the content steward, and highlight important linkages
individual views - i would use this to explain to my team members why this view exists, list the URLs of where it’s embedded offsite, and things to consider before making changes
columns - lower priority for me, but i could see this being useful metadata for users who consume data via API
In the meantime, I’m adding an extra table for my base called “About this base” so that I can explain to my team what’s up with the various references and views
AirTable keeps getting better and better. Huge fan here. You guys rock!

It would be great if you could configure linked fields to only populate with records that match certain conditions. Those conditions being values entered in other fields on the same table.
EG: Table one Field One = Retailer Field two = Product Type Field Three = Item ID/SKU = this field is a linked record field which only allows the selection of records whose fields match/contain the values entered in it’s shared table.
EG: Field 1 Retailer = Allen’s Discount Grocery Emporium Field 2 Product Type = Food Field 3 Item ID/SKU, should only let me select Hot dogs, apples, bread… It should not let me select Rodent Killer XXX manufactured by Howie Liu’s Elimination Station.
For me, this seems to be air tables biggest limitation.

Please enable users to choose colors of tables from hexadecimal codes, thank you!
Airtable only provides ten or so color options, some of which are hard on the eyes. It would be much better if we could choose, and this should be a simple implementation. Thanks!

Hi! Yes I said it - I need some unstructured in Airtable! I would like a “free form” view like a Canvas view with the option to add relations between record. I like Airtable because is so organized and structured but sometimes it’s not nice (and creative) to be unstructured :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: I would use it for a more open brainstorm or mindmap session that it could then organize more in grid view or the like. The process would be just to add and group records before you had defined all the field data. Sometimes you just want to get started with something I like the way calendar works where you have a menu with the records on the side that you can drag in and out. So instead of the calendar, it would just be an infinite canvas.

Hello!
We have a total view of run Automation in the Usage section of the Billing page. But it’s for all table, and all automation together.
I would really like it to be more specific.
To my need, I would like it to be shown in the Automation tab, for each automation. The number of runs executed so far for the period. It would allow us to monitor which automation are consuming most of the limit as well as seeing if some automation are running more than expected, etc, etc.
The total for each table should also been available for the same reason! The limit is pretty low, it would be very useful to see where it is spent!

It would be nice to have an easy way to see what other fields a certain field is being used in. Ex: If I have a field called Start date and this field is used in the formulas for three other fields, it would be nice to be able to click on the Start date field and see what those other fields are.
Otherwise, if I need to check where a field is used, I end up having to check all 200 other formula fields in my table (not to mention the other tables in the base that may be using lookup/rollup fields)
