What is the proposed idea/solution? We need the ability to make more robust charts in interfaces. How about bringing something like the vegalite extension to interfaces? PLEASE How does it solve the user problems? Basic visualizations like overlaying a line and bar chart can't be done, but vegalite can do things like that and much more. Who is the target audience? Anyone who wants to have robust data visualization in their interface

What is the proposed idea/solution? The current Interface Designer is great, but it can be a bit difficult to make every field we need visible organize on a blank page that fits our needs. It would be great if there were widgets that allow for the collapsing of a group of fields or organizing them into clickable pages. How does is solve the user problems? Make it easier to demonstrate steps and phases to projects. Instead of having every stage laid out on one part. Clicking right or left or collapsing and uncollapsing parts of the record can show different applicable fields. How was this validated? Simply that if one "page" is not completed per guidance set by the creator, one cannot move on to the next phase. or just organizing field attributes in a box that will allow for page creation. Who is the target audience? Companies that use AirTable to create work flows for employees

Views are useful, but sometimes a view needs to have lots of information in it regardless to be useful. Side scrollling with dozens of columns can be unwieldy and difficult to navigate (especially as the user adds new columns in different views, and they automatically place them at the end of other views). Colour coding and/or being able to group columns would seemingly be a simple to implement and very useful functionality. Grouping columns would be nice for tabbing between views and being able to move a bunch of columns at once (or unhide a column and have it snap to it's "group").

What is the proposed idea/solution? Make workspace / base owner able to delete comments on records made by other users. How does is solve the user problems? As base manager (owner), I would appreciate the possibility to remove comments made by others on records without asking each person to delete their own comments. Some of them, furthermore, are not on the team anymore (no more access to base). How was this validated? It wasn't, was it? https://community.airtable.com/t5/other-questions/delete-comments-made-by-other-users/td-p/143650 Who is the target audience? Workspace / base owners.

Just as @Sean_Murphy1 asked here, the ability to have conditional data in interfaces. Sean's Example: if you’re tracking network outages you might use one field to specify that the cause is a power outage, in which case you would want other fields to appear that let you specify when the power outage started and ended (so you can track UPS runtime when the power goes out, and site recovery time when it comes back.) My example: the attached has an "answer type" field but I still have to have all available fields (currency, text, number, etc) for the view to work with all the data types. If I could add conditions to fields (IF Answer Type CONTAINS Text, show Text Answer), only the needed fields would show and it make for a much cleaner user experience.

Button Fields could really use an update to allow for dynamic button labeling. A label could be set to not only Single Line Text, but also support other field types such as Single Select, Link Fields, but also Attachments where an Image could be displayed as a clickable button. Here, we see each button opening a unique URL, however the label is static - locked as the text "Open URL" which is an awful user experience. Why not allow for other fields to be referenced within the Label, exactly how the URL formula works? Part of this issue stems from the URL field itself also being too simplistic, and not supporting text for the referenced URL itself (which then itself could be used by a button field, without the need for an independent Label field).

What is the proposed idea/solution? When creating a form view, it would be great to set a question's available linked records to be filtered based on a previous questions answer. For example, Q1 is to select a contractor or team from our list of contractors (linked record from a resources base). Then Q2 is to select a project to submit the form against, but ONLY show linked project records that are assigned to the contractor team in Q1 so that the team selected can only see and select their projects, not other teams projects as to only serve a limited list and ensure our teams don't make a mistake in project selection. How does is solve the user problems? Opens up additional use cases for form flexibility. Solves our problem of not being able to have a curated and limited selection list of projects for each team. How was this validated? We send a form weekly to our contractor teams that do work for our agency to submit their hours worked per project so we can calculate project costs, margin...etc. At the moment, the teams can select their name / team from the list to submit hours for, but when they choose a project to submit against, they see all the projects that are active instead of just theirs. This leads to mistakes in teams selecting the wrong project and submitting hours to the wrong records. I could create unique forms for each team separately, but that is tedious and not scalable in managing all of our resources to add / remove new forms for each new team. I'd like one form that can serve up a curated list of linked records dynamically based on the answer to a previous question instead of a hard coded logic filter. Who is the target audience? ...

What is the proposed idea/solution? In interface page layouts, add the ability to collapse groups so that the header is visible but the fields nested beneath are not. An added bonus would be the ability to select whether a group is expanded or collapsed by default in the page template.... How does is solve the user problems? I have several interface page views that are quite long, and not all groups are applicable to all records. Allowing me to collapse the groups that are not relevant would make it easier for me to see and edit the most important information efficiently. How was this validated? This is generally accepted as useful functionality and exists in other places in the Airtable app. Google docs just recently added this functionality as well. Who is the target audience? Anyone using interface page views with many forms/groups

What is the proposed idea/solution? Allow individual rows to expand to fit long text (like "wrap text" in Google Sheets) or at least to fit MORE long text. How does is solve the user problems? Sometimes I want to skim my data (in my case customer emails), but I can't do so when I have to click into each individual record when long text fields get cut off (even when height is set to "Extra Tall"). Clicking into each record is a big time suck. Who is the target audience? Any Airtable user with long text fields, but specifically bases with customer emails.

What is the proposed idea/solution? Our interfaces are growing ever more complex, longer and more difficult to handle. Two things that would make life much easier: Being able to create sections (visual containers) that can be collappsed and unfolded. Conditional visibility of these sections and individual fields (like in forms) How does is solve the user problems? This would help us to only show the fields and sections needed for specific cases or situations based on conditions that we can define, similar to conditional fields in forms.
