I would be great if we could add buttons or links at the top of an interface sidesheets/full sheet record detail view to 'jump' to groups within the sheet. For record details sheets that are pretty long, this would be useful.

What is the proposed idea/solution? Linked Records, Lookups and Rollups are currently sorted in the order in which the linked records have been linked. However, this is many times not enough, as we need a different way in which to show the data! The proposed solution is to have a sorting feature within the lookup (or even linked record, or rollup) to show the data differently -e.g. alphabetically. How does is solve the user problems? Will allow users to show their data in a way that makes more sense to the end user. How was this validated? Multiple Community Posts requesting for help/guidance on how to sort such values (which they actually cannot)! Who is the target audience? Users with specific needs on how data is displayed. What is the proposed idea/solution? Currently, when you click on a lookup field in the data entry form preview, it will display additional fields from that lookup view. However, in the actual data entry form, only the first field is shown in the pulldown for the lookup. How does is solve the user problems? It will help simplify the first field that serves as key and appears on interfaces/reports. Currently, the first field needs to be concatenated with additional fields in the view so that pertinent information is available during the data entry lookup that displays only first field. How was this validated? Tested by creating data entry forms the old way or through the interface. Who is the target audience? Creators and Users.

What is the proposed idea/solution? ...Enable Arrayunique to be used on text fields with spaces How does is solve the user problems? we cannot use Rollup to retrieve just the unique values when the field is a concatenated field with spaces. If this was addressed, then a rollup with arrayunique(values) can be used on concatenated fields (most primary key fields are concatenated) How was this validated? ...Tried it on a text field with spaces and it did not work. What is the proposed idea/solution? When seeing a change in a field of a record in the activities feed it would be very helpful to be able to click on that and jump to the field. How does is solve the user problems? Because the information is truncated, being able to jump to a field with full data will make it easier to collect and make that information actionable. How was this validated? ... Who is the target audience? Anyone who wants to be able to more easily navigate through a record without scrolling through dozens and dozens of fields.

What is the proposed idea/solution? ...Allow a base to be created and made private on a shared workspace. How does is solve the user problems? ...Users should be able to be a part of workspace, but create a private base to get access to features of the workspace that are not available in the free workspace. Currently the workaround is to only share specific bases with other users in the company, and this is a pain due to multiple people being collaborators so we have multiple owners of the system, instead of just one person. The Free Version of Airtable continues to be degraded to the point that it now feels more like a trial than a free option. The addition of an annoying pop-up to subscribe is my last straw. I am not a free user. I've been a fan of Airtable for many years, introduced it to hundreds and interacted with thousands through many different use cases I've created. I'm such a fan that I've talked with everyone from teens to top tier executives in showing them how Airtable could be of use to them. I've created bases for countless people, most of them business owners. As a business owner myself I enjoy what I've been able to do and love showing others what they can do. I've stopped doing that. The free version of Airtable has become so disagreeable and degraded that I don't feel confident I can do something worthwhile to demonstrate its use. The last time I really showed Airtable to someone I promised big and failed completely. I bought a couple rats from a breeder and had some quick thoughts on how to make tracking her lineages and sharing rat pictures online easy with Airtable. I asked if she'd like me to put something together and she was enthusiastic to see what I suggested. I failed completely. Linking bases had been disabled in the free version had been removed since the last time I tried it with the free version, and I couldn't find a workaround to make my vision reality. So, I dropped it, and she went with something else. I haven't tried since even though I'm always thinking of ways to make stuff for other people. Airtable competition isn't where I want it for my use, but it's getting there. From now on, when I want to show someone an idea for a way to make their business smoother, I won't be doing it with Airtable. I'll be showing them the competition and maybe saying that I could do it a little better with a paid Airtable account, but that won't be their introduction to the format. Please reconsider chasing people away from free accounts. They used to be awesome, now they're terrible. I was a free user for months before I decided to become a paid user, and then a paid user for many years and more importantly, a fan who shared the product with countless others. Just something to consider.

This seems obvious, and I guess there is a back-end reason it's not already the case. But there are several limitations in airtable that make automation troubleshooting more difficult than it needs to be. It would be infinitely more helpful if airtable's failed automation notifications were instant. There's always a delay of at least a few minutes, but often much longer. The delay, combined with the lack of suggestion 2, makes it quite hard to piece together why an automation has failed (usually we are entering data, going back to another job, and seeing an automation failed notification in the emails later) - so it's not that easy to trace the steps back to find out what action triggered the failure. Activity log for whole base. Rather than needing to check trash logs, individual record logs, etc, it would be really helpful to have all of this info collated in one space. Ideally this log would also included failed automation runs. When there are complicated automations that fire other automations, it's sometimes really hard to piece together what actions are creating failures. I often really struggle to recreate failures.

Requested change: On the account home page either include shared bases, interfaces, and workspaces under "All Workspaces" or add a separate "Shared with Me" item below the All Workspaces menu button/chevron. Reasoning: Newer users often are unable to easily find shared interfaces and bases after responding to the initial invite. Many if not most users' first experience with Airtable comes via sharing, and they should be able to go to Airtable.com, log in, and immediately see what has been shared with them. Users may naturally select "All Workspaces" but this will not lead them to the shared items. Even selecting Home may not show the shared items if the filter is set to "Opened by You." All filters should be off upon the initial landing view so that everything the user is authorized for is visible, whether shared or user created and regardless of open status. See Google Drive screenshot for what this can look like and what would be familiar to many users.
