Let’s take a look back at what happened in Airtable last month.
🏆 Airtable Academy reaches 10,000 certifications awarded!
Huge milestone alert: Airtable Academy has officially awarded 10,000 certifications — and counting.

As of June, over 10,000 certifications have been earned by builders putting real skills to real work, whether that's building a first automation, architecting a multi-table base, kickstarting AI fluency, or mastering AI features like Omni, Field Agents, and the Airtable MCP.
To mark the moment, we're collecting the stories behind the number -- what each certification actually unlocked. Did it help you ship a build you wouldn't have attempted before, earn a promotion or a new role, get recognized on LinkedIn, or turn you into the go-to Airtable person on your team?
Share your story in the community thread, and we may spotlight some of our favorites in an upcoming newsletter and on social (with your okay). Four certifications are available — Builder, Agentic Systems Design, AI-First Foundations, and Airtable Admin — and Academy is free for everyone.

💬 We're Revamping r/Airtable
The r/Airtable subreddit is getting a refresh, and the Airtable Community team is showing up in a bigger way.

The update brings a cleaner sidebar with actually-useful links, a new flair system (ten categories, required on all posts) so conversations are browsable by topic and help questions reach the right people, and two recurring threads: Ask an Expert Tuesday (a weekly AMA with folks from the Ask an Expert / Base Optimization team) and Builders Showcase Friday (a space to share what you've built and get feedback).
Expect more of the Airtable team in the mix — announcements, course launches, feature news, and event updates — clearly flaired so you always know what's coming from us. The goal isn't to turn the sub into a marketing feed; it's to supplement the authentic builder-to-builder conversations already happening with the latest from Airtable.

🛠️ Change Makers: Transforming Product Operations Through Connected Systems With Kassim Alani
Change Makers is our recurring series highlighting customer stories and builders making an incredible impact with Airtable.
This month's Change Maker is Kassim Alani, an Airtable MVP who turned his organization's product operations into a connected, AI-powered operating system.

Before Airtable, Kassim's team wrestled with information scattered across documents, sheets, and tribal knowledge — making product launches a maze of duplicative docs and inconsistent communication. He built a single product operating system in Airtable that ties together portfolio management, market insights, customer feedback, and competitive intelligence, leaning on Airtable AI (Deep Match and Omni) to surface patterns and turn feature requests into clearly defined user problems.
The payoff: customer feedback processing went from four weeks across four people down to one person in a week, and account planning dropped from 5–6 hours to 20–30 minutes. Even better, it's sparked a more customer-centric culture — product teams now reference Kassim's tools when proposing new builds.

🚀 Product Launch Recap
Catch up on the latest features that launched this month—built to save you time, streamline workflows, and unlock new use cases.
✅ Chat with Omni on iOS and Android
Omni is now available in the Airtable mobile app, making it easy to ask questions about your data wherever you are. Use voice or text to summarize records, analyze trends, and get answers about any base you have access to—all while respecting the same permissions and admin controls as desktop.
Use cases:
- Sales teams can review the latest account activity and open opportunities before walking into a customer meeting.
- Field operations teams can ask Omni about work orders, asset history, or maintenance records while on-site.
- Executives can quickly check project health, pipeline updates, or key business metrics while traveling.
✅ Turn Comments into Automated Workflows
Comments are now automation triggers. Whenever someone leaves a comment on a record, Airtable can automatically launch workflows using the comment text, author, and any @mentions—turning conversations into action.
Use cases:
- Marketing teams can automatically create a design revision task whenever feedback is left on a creative asset.
- IT teams can notify the assigned engineer in Slack whenever they're @mentioned on an incident or support request.
- Customer Success teams can route product feedback to the appropriate product manager without manually triaging comments.
✅ Form Editing for Record Detail Pages
Record detail pages now support a new Form editing mode, giving users a guided, validated editing experience instead of inline edits. Changes are submitted all at once through a customizable form, making data entry more structured and consistent.
Use cases:
- HR teams can standardize employee performance reviews by requiring managers to complete every required field before submitting.
- Manufacturing teams can capture quality inspections with built-in validation to prevent incomplete audit records.
- Healthcare organizations can guide staff through patient intake or compliance workflows while ensuring required information is collected before submission.
