I’ll jump in to get the party started!

I'm Matt, and I lead the Public Sector team here at Airtable. So needless to say, this community holds a very special place in my heart! I've been at Airtable for two years now, and before that, my career took me through the world of education technology and even a stint as a Peace Corps volunteer in Ethiopia. That experience taught me firsthand how much government and public service work runs on collaboration, resourcefulness, and people genuinely wanting to make things better - which is exactly the spirit I hope we cultivate here.

This group is brand new, and honestly, we're building it with you. We have ideas, but your feedback is what will shape what this space becomes — so please don't be shy about telling us what you need, what's missing, or what would make this community truly useful for the work you do.

Government work is unlike any other — the stakes are real, the constraints are real, and the wins (when they come!) are deeply meaningful. I can't think of a better reason to have a dedicated space where we can swap ideas, troubleshoot together, and learn from each other.

So — tell us who you are, what you're building, and what brought you here. I'm so glad you're part of this. 🙌

Hi everyone! I’m Jacob, I oversee all of Airtable’s relationships with our state and local government customers on the East Coast.

I am passionate about empowering Airtable’s partners in government to level up the way they use technology to serve their communities. We believe strongly in the impact Airtable can make in this arena. I also personally believe that change should be perpetual, and can be fun too!

Over the last year or so I’ve heard from many of you about your Airtable use-cases, big-picture problem-sets, and even the annoying bureaucratic blockers that keep you up at night. My hope is to be a central resource and a connector -- chances are I know someone who shares your challenges  and your vision, and would be happy to link you to hear directly from the source.

Don’t be shy! We’d love to hear about your experiences, and anything that you think can further your mission.

What’s up Airtable People!!!! 🎉🎉🎉

Name: Thomas 👋

Organization/Role: State of California 🐻🏛️

Location: The Golden State ☀️🌴

How is your team or agency using Airtable today? ⚙️ We use Airtable as our ultimate one-stop shop!

What challenges or topics would you love to explore with this group? 🧩 I am really looking to explore best practices for structuring and organizing sprawling organizational workspaces 🗂️🏢—I'm just trying to keep my views 😉 strictly professional, after all! 🧐👀

I’d also love to trade notes with anyone navigating Airtable's native limitations around pushing and pulling data to and from Google Workspace. 🔄☁️ I'm hoping to figure out how to make these two platforms sync in perfect harmony 🎶🤝 without wanting to flip an actual table! (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻

Looking forward to connecting and learning from all of you! 🚀 Let's trigger a good time—no manual actions required! ⚡️🤖

Hello! My name is Sarah, I’m an administrative Assistant with our City’s Parks and Recreation department here in the great state of Texas! I am also our team’s designated “Airtable Expert,” so among my other roles I also act as IT support for Airtable troubleshooting, building new bases, and brainstorming. I definitely still have a lot to learn about everything Airtable can do, and I’m excited to find new ways we can utilize it to serve our community.

We also use Airtable as a kind of one stop shop. We have bases to manage everything from instructor profiles, to finances, to surveys.
We’re not in a large city and it’s only our department using Airtable currently. Additionally, we have a pretty small team for the amount of product we put out. So our greatest challenge is always finding new ways to use Airtable to streamline our operations and finding ways to update and improve existing bases and processes.

My personal mission (only half-joking) is to find ways for Airtable to replace other programs used in our department and make it truly one stop for all our needs.

Hello, my name is Genevieve, and I am based in CA. I work in the External Affairs & Communications Office at the California High Speed Rail Authority, where I serve as our team’s Airtable implementer, among other responsibilities. We use Airtable to streamline our workflows for event planning and management, office procurement requests, and stakeholder interactions.

I’d love to explore more automation and AI integration, as well as dashboard and reporting features. Managing bases across remote teams, staying up to date on training, and ensuring data integrity and quality are priorities. Optimizing our workflows to meet our strategic needs, including integrating Airtable with our Stakeholder Management System, Borealis, is also top of mind.

Demonstrating ROI in our department will increase the likelihood of rolling out Airtable to similar teams in other departments, thereby enhancing their productivity. I look forward to learning from this group!

Hello everyone! My name is Amy, and I work for the Parks and Recreation Department with the City of Wylie, Texas. My role includes purchasing, budget coordination, records management, and general administrative support. Airtable has become an integral part of many of these responsibilities, and I help administer and maintain our department's Airtable environment, building and managing solutions that support everything from project tracking and financial processes to staff resources and departmental workflows.

While I wouldn't consider myself an Airtable expert, I manage many of our bases, help develop new workflows, troubleshoot issues, and continually look for ways to improve efficiency. Airtable has become an essential tool for our department, and I enjoy exploring new ways to leverage it to better support our team.

Like many local government agencies, we accomplish a lot with a relatively small staff. We use Airtable as a centralized resource for finance and budget tracking, project management, event planning, staff resources, and other operational needs. One of our ongoing challenges is finding ways to streamline processes, reduce duplication, and make information easier for staff to access, maintain, and use effectively.

I'm excited to connect with other government users, learn how you're using Airtable, and discover new ideas that can help us work more efficiently and better serve our community. I look forward to learning from everyone in this group!

Good morning, Airtable friends!

Name: Grace

Organization/Role: Mercer County Board of Elections

Location: Pennsylvania

How is your team or agency using Airtable today? Airtable is our main way of tracking and organizing election equipment, poll workers, and candidates. It does everything from helping with poll worker training sign-ups and pay to making sure candidates file campaign finance reports on time.

What challenges or topics would you love to explore with this group?  I’m always trying to find better ways to utilize Airtable for our needs. I've been learning as I go and know that I’m only aware of a tiny fraction of what Airtable can do.

Hey all! I’m the communications & marketing coordinator for our state agency called MassAbility; we provide all kinds of services for people with disabilities across Massachusetts. I’ve been using Airtable for over a year now and quite enjoy it. I’ve adopted it as my go-to project management tool outside of work as well.

Name: Sarah

Organization/Role: MassAbility

Location: Boston, MA

How is your team or agency using Airtable today? Mostly myself and one or two other team members for project management, asset management and organization, and organization charts.

What challenges or topics would you love to explore with this group? Learning from others how they use these within bigger teams and small teams more effectively. We are segmented in our use of it now. I’d love to understand how other teams are using this with consistency and integration rather than silo-ed efforts.
