I’d like to suggest some more options for styling the mobile embed views of Airtable: Ability to choose which columns are displayed in the mobile view Ability to highlight (via card background color) specific cards in the table Show sort and filter button Show all fields by default on each card (useful for tables with a small number of columns) Drop all the box formatting around cells - why is it even necessary on mobille? The way mobile is displayed on airtable are the moment makes comparing rows in the table quite difficult. I think this needs to be improved. The table on this page may be a way to display tables on mobile - switching from horizontal view to vertical view.

Is there a way to connect to Zenfolio to import images? If not, I request it to be added to the list of options that appear for attachments.

I am building a Table to apply Markup to products. I need to be able to apply a different amount of markup to different quantities. The best way to do this would be able to select from a single select column but it seems the function column does not recognize the number as a number for the calculation. I have tried writing it as both a regular number and a percent. The simplest solution would be to add a format option to single select that says it is text, a number, a percent, etc…

I love the jump to base prompt for jumping around. Allowing it to jump to an arbitrary table would be a great way to make it more powerful to make me able to work faster in Airtable :ok_hand:t3:

Adding a new appointment record in the linked appointments table, from within the learners table, the record gets created but when clicking on it to edit the details, it says “Loading…” but it doesn’t load. Going to that record in the appointments table and opening it is fine, and the link is there to the originating learners table. This works fine in iOS, but not in Android

Hi I am finding I am using Zapier to automate stuff in a client project and it would be much more useful if the integration were of the Instant type (as some other database products have with Zapier). I have also been reading about Push Zaps which can be triggered directly and don’t need a trigger - if it were possible to add an after update event to fields and tables (and perhaps a button object as well) which would allow an Airtable user to specify a Zap to run with that event. Example use cases I have an app where a user can add an article to a table and the app needs to then work out which clients are due to receive that article based upon some logic (Javascript largely) in a Zap. I specialise in HR software generally - in a leave app you need to be able to create records for each day of a leave (so that you can properly analyse it). Can you add a way to easily change which column is the “Name” column?

I am 100% sure this has been asked for before, but couldn’t find the exact feature request. So, basically, what would make Airtable around 67% better (and it is a very good tool already!), would be to allow a table to populate based on running a (possibly multi-table) query. Let me explain my need in detail. I’m using Airtable to track the results of a pair dance competition. The competition is held in a “peer review way”, ie. all males in a group will dance with all the females in the same group. After a brief dance together, both score points for their dance partner. Example: Semifinal Group A has 5 males (M) and 8 females (F). Every male will need to dance with every female. I would need a “query”, which auto-populates its records like this: M1 F1 M1 F2 … M1 F8 M2 F1 … M2 F8 … M5 F8 F1 M1 … F1 M5 F1…M1 , This query-generated table then serves as a base for me to mark the given scores for

The embedded grid view already includes a search tool, but the embedded card view does not.

Hi there, it’d be great if you could support different decimal marks in airtable. For example, in most European countries the decimal comma is commonly used for this purpose. While this is not a big deal when your working with a small team, it can lead to quite a few mistakes when your collecting data, e. g. using a form view. Best, Till

It would be IMMENSELY helpful if the filtering acted more like it does in excel, where I can see the possible values of a given field and select one or multiple values, just like you can in Airtable when the field type is a single or multiple option select. It’s very cumbersome to have to hand-type a ‘contains’ free text field, and it’s not possible to select more than one value in a filter if it’s not an option type field.

Hi - I would love to see the feature when we download the spreadsheet, that it also downloads the photos/attachments with it. I’ve searched and looks like no one has requested this yet.

Can you add a field type specifically for names, which would include first name, last name, prefixes and suffixes as an individual part of that field type? I would like to have my first (name) column be a first and last name, but sorted by the last name. And in references to that record, on linked sheets, be able to specify what portion of that name to display (i.e… just the last name, or last name, first name.)

Our base has many, many fields. We have added details to the description (what is it for and owner) it would great that the description shows on hover over the field, not only on the dot (lots of users just don’t see it) the description appears in the “hide field” dropdown menu, maybe after 500ms of hover over

It would be really helpful to be able to see non-input fields in a form, such as Lookups, Auto Number, Count, Rollup and Formula. I have a grid view of repair work which is private to me, but I have given links to form inputs to some third party contractors to log their work to my grid view. I can foresee a time in the future where there will be duplicates in the Name field. The Name field contains names of my customers. If I get two John Smith’s in my database, the contractor won’t know how to differentiate between the two of them. However, if I could bring in a Lookup field to the form view, the contractor would be able to see serial number and product name pertaining to the customer and verify that they had chosen the right one. Similarly, I use the Auto Number functionality for assigning Repair IDs. If the contractor could see the Repair ID at this point, they can keep logs for their own accounting purposes without me having to grant them access to the grid

This occurred to me when I was playing with the new Gallery views - which I love by the way. If you are building a number of view of a table to cover different subjects (an HR example may be views on Employees to view their Personal Information on one view, their Job related information on another and leave information on a third), then it would be very useful to be able to define which fields are available on the associated Expanded view (and this is not just the fields in the view calling up expanded view). I would add that it’s not only the input fields that you should be able to choose but also the ‘incoming’ or child linked records as well. I wouldn’t want to see linked absences, for example, on an Expanded view associated with an employee’s personal information.

I love expanded record view! But when I’m in there, I sure do miss the field descriptions. It would be so helpful if the field descriptions we’ve added (via grid view) could also be visible in expanded record view.

I’d like a way to be able to test a change a formula field to make sure that the field behaves as desired before committing the change to a live production base. Right now, I’m making a change to a calculated status field that uses data from a bunch of different tables. The best way I’ve found to make sure I’m not screwing up the live data in the field with the change is to duplicate the entire base into a “beta” base to ensure that the relationships and data are good examples of the live data, test the change, and then make the change in the real base once I’ve got it working. I would love the ability to enter a sandbox mode in a base where I can experiment with changes and preview how the changes would affect the base without having to duplicate the entire base. Duplicating the entire base seems like overkill to test a change to a single field. The other issue I run into is that I sometimes test a bunch of changes in the test base and

when calling up the Find function, it kind of blends into the background and is difficult to see. A more contrasting color or offset would help tremendously with visibility.

At the moment, if I add a field to a table, it automatically appears in any forms I have created for that table. This is very annoying! Once I have created a form, I don’t expect to have to keep checking it to make sure it still looks the way I want it to. This happens most often if I link a field, thus creating the reciprocating link in the linked table. I generally don’t want that reciprocating link in my form. Then today, I duplicated a table so I could play with it without upsetting the original data. Unfortunately, because this table contains links to all my other tables, every other table got an extra few fields which have then turned up in all my forms. It’s a mess! Please can you remove this auto-add feature?

My team uses the embed feature a lot! We often leverage table views in order to deliver embeds to meet our needs. We maintain documents online as a way of archiving our past work, and many of these docs contain airtable embeds. When we work with our base and have too many table views, it can be hard to find the views we’re looking for. I don’t want to delete the views because I suspect this would break the embeds that we have published in our online docs. It would be great if we could mark a view as “retired”, “archived”, or “inactive”… such that the view becomes grayed out or less obvious in a table’s views picklist. That way, our team has an easier time finding the views we want to work on, but the content of views we’re no longer editing continues to be served to embeds, etc.
