I’ve posted on this before. But seen no activity on it. I need this, soon if possible, because every single base of mine relies on this functionality. I REALLY want a link-to-record within the same table to create another link column that auto-populates. Or a type that will. I just spent all day trying to fudge around it, but it requires either (a) manual linking with every record, (b) at least two new columns on this and a completely separate table to copy/paste/formula, that requires basically a temporary duplicate entry and again, lots of manual entry. And this doesn’t update with new records. I’d love a hierarchically-grouped view, but I could make do with just this one feature; I want a second column to be created when I self-link a table!! Does anyone have a self-updating workaround to this? Because for the life of me I can’t find one. Hello,I am sure this is a heavily requested topic, so if this is on the roadmap great, if not I really think this process would help a lot of users. I use Airtable for a number of use cases and have multiple builds. One feature that is rather consistently peeking its head is parent child linking. The first time this arose, and my primary use case, is in a contract management system my team and I built in Airtable. The question arose whether or not Airtable can achieve parent/child linking. The general consensus was a resounding "NO." I took this on as a challenge and after many hours of trouble shooting and testing, I believe I created a working two way linking between two or more records in our contracting system that links the parent to the children and child to the parent. This bidirectional syncs allows for various contract managers to work and link the records as they come in. Further, using the OrgChart extension, we can now see the entire contract family in a visual manner.&nbsp

As a business consultant, I would like to display parent/child relationships within a table as an indented outline within a grid view so that I can decompose items like organizational goals and project tasks and clearly show the hierarchical relationship. This would allow me to use Airtable instead of other specialized software that supports sub-items (e.g., subtasks, subgoals, etc.). All my items have the same columns, including a “parent”, but the current views (such as grouping by “parent”) do not suffice. No special rollup capability is needed within the hierarchy. Permissions control for state or status options is a common capability with other types of software programs.  Expected Benefits: It is a measure of mistake proofing, to avoid any such instance where user ends up editing the older record by mistake.Please consider adding this capability. Regards,Jason Knighten

To whom it may concern,An enhancement suggestion from Kalypso: Implement a hierarchy/grouping of the tabs in a Base. To scroll across 10, 20, 30+ tabs is a frustrating UI limitation.
