Users should be able to customize the footers of forms. Problem examples: We need to add in disclaimers for legal and compliance reasons. Currently, I can only update the description or the message that appears after submission.

I love how the expanded view shows an attachment thumbnail (and the first two or three fields) for any linked records. Could we get the same for the embedded card view, which right now just shows the name of the linked record? I’m envisioning using this for a photo directory, where a group/household entry would link to the records of the individual members, showing a thumbnail image of each inside the embedded card view.

Someone posted about this in support but I think it belongs here in feature requests. Please please please add the ability to break up forms with text that is not a question. I know Airtable is not a survey tool but this would make a HUGE difference in so many of my use cases, which depend on having volunteers do data entry through forms. Thank you!!

What’s the deal with that intrusive View Description black square that never goes away? It sits on top of the base with “Created by…” information on it. Really hate it. How can it be turned off?

It would be easier to sift through notifications if notifications were shown for the base you are in only.

This is kind of related to Better UI/UX for activity feed but more specific. I’m new to Airtable and a huge part of its appeal is a single place to manage data and content, and to discuss it. But the width given to an expanded record’s Activity pane is insufficient to make discussion easy – to write or to read – which means discussions are too likely to end up some place else such as Slack or Basecamp. My experience to date suggests that, on desktop/laptop: The modal overlay for an expanded record has a fixed width of 838px given to it The Activity sidebar is given 308px of that Which leaves just 218px available for text content in a Comment. That’s enough for only about 30 characters per line of Comment text, and that’s a pain. Please find a way to grant more width to the Activity pane

The ability to fire a HTTP Request (GET/POST) via a Button field. True, a Run Script can be triggered from a button, but there are limits on the number of app per Base.

I’m trying to send notifications while avoiding them being sent at midnight UTC (one of the trigger conditions is the number of days since an event has happened).I’d like them to be sent at 6pm UTC+2, not at midnight, but I also want them to trigger based on conditions, and can’t use the “Scheduled time” because then it’d run only one time for all the record that matches (I need to run it once per record), as I’m sending one SMS to each user.Is there a way to have a formula field with the current time of the day (the hour)? Or another way?

The Dedupe app displays all the fields in a table, and shows them to the user in order of creation. The user has no way of changing this.This behavior makes the app painful to use, because you have to scroll manually to find the fields you need to click on.If the Dedupe app had user-selectable field order and visibility, it would be way easier and faster to use the app.

I know the strategy of Airtable is SaaS and have no plans for self-hosted version. However, at least a version allowing the database to be kept locally will do great work. Whether it is a MongoDB or SQL, a selection to keep data on-premises can help a lot for both business-wise and performance-wise. And I guess it will not be that hard to develop such a feature. I am attempting to find a way to link one record multiple times. I’m trying to cost jobs and need to add the necessary material which I have in a separate table in the same base. I can link multiple records and have them add up however I cannot link one record more than once which is necessary because every record is in a quantity of 1. So for example one job may require 5 feet of wire where another would require 10. I cant change the original record to reflect these numbers because I would have to make a new record so they don’t conflict and by doing so would make the products page too large to be able to update as prices change. I attached an image of the basic setup in the table. I don’t think there are any current features to accomplish this.

I have an “Environment” field on my servers table for TEST, DEV and LIVE. By default, they are obviously color coded, which is nice. However, on any tables where I reference servers and include a lookup for the environment, it is just plain text. It would be nice if this column had the same colors as the native column. Here is a comparison:

The search functionality (if I am not mistaken) currently indexes only across actual columns in each table / base. In case users frequently use the comment function on records (e.g. sales teams), would be great if the search function also indexes comments on each record.

I love the page designer.Although pretty barebones, I am aware that it’'s still a beta and knowing how you work, I fully expect that it will improve over time. One feature that I think is critical but missing is the ability to have the header to any column show a header. If you have multiple fields, having to manualy enter a text header and then match up the actual data is both a pain, and can lead to pretty serious errors. Currently, I can link to another table , but this A: is limited in it’s appearance, and B: I don’t necessarily want to create a link to another table solely to make the page designer work.

Very excited that we now have sections for Views AND Automations… next up needs to be Tables! Scrolling through tables gets unruly and confusing once a base gets large. Please help us out by the next logical rollout– Sections for Tables!

Automations are such an amazing feature, but a long list of them is unwieldy and makes it very easy to lose track of what is still needed/what exists.Now that there are sections for table views, can we also have sections to organize our list of automations? 😃Thank you!

Airtable team,We have a relatively large team using Airtable across multiple departments. It would be awesome if the Collaborator field could be pared down to just the collaborators in a particular department. For instance, if we have a Collaborator field called Production, we would be able to only see the collaborators in the Production department. As it is, everyone from every department has to look through all the names to find there name.Thanks!

As a custom block developer who’s making an app that programatically generates tables and fields, I want the methods Base#createTableAsync and Table#createFieldAsync to take in a param for Field#description, so that when I create fields they’re pre-populated with field descriptions that users can refer to.
