Right now, to format values pulled from a Currency field in a Formula field, users have to use something akin to the following formula to get “$65,756” to display as such. Not having this capability caused us to leave Airtable last year when looking to use it for planning, tracking, & communicating our go-to-market (GTM) projects. We are now giving it another try and having success for OKR management and want to again attempt using it for providing visibility into our GTMs.The calendar view need to enable us to see monthly, 2 months, quarterly, and annual views (at a minimum 2 and 3 months at time). This is critical for GTM planning & communications. It would enable us, as well as key stakeholders across the company to get a comprehensive view of upcoming launches and those identified for further out in the year.Without this capability, we may not be able to use this for planning, tracking, and communicating GTM projects.And no, the Timeline view does not meet this need very well… and if it did, it would also need to include the ability to publish the timeline view.

Would love the ability to share an individual record by URL and to control the permissions on who can access the record with that link {anyone with the link, any logged in Airtable user with the link, specific Airtable users}.

Please consider adding the table UI as an option within your app for iPad Pro (at least the full size model), a la your desktop/browser UI. Thank you, A.

In a “Linked to another record” field, limited by view:step 1 / image 1 : when selecting a record Item, we can see the fields based on the view and that is awesome.step 2 / image 2 : But, when clicking (later) on this selected item in the field to show up the “card” of this one, field listing and display seems to be based on the very top view of the table.Would like to have consistency between step 1 and step 2 (step 1 would be the reference in term of fields display 🙂 )You can see here the diference betwwen the two fileds display filtering and order on the same items:Image 1 :Image 2 :Thanks very muchRegards

Creating a new interface isn’t intuitive - you have to click on the interfaces button from within the base instead of using the standard + button in the interface area. It would be much nicer to have a more intuitive and easy way to create a new interface. Hope my drawings in my screenshots are up to snuff, haha.I would also like to request to be able to duplicate Interfaces - aka interface groups. It is nice to be able to duplicate the individual interfaces within an Interface Group, but being able to duplicate the whole thing for users is essential.Thank you

It would be great to have a full-text search capability, but limited to a particular field. For example, find all occurrences of “Edward” in a particular multi-line text field.

I get it. You can only have 25 ACTIVE automations running in a base at any give time. But what about future development? What if you want to build a new automation to replace/improve/streamline an OLD automation?Guess what? Once you hit that 25 limit, the “New Automation” button greys out completely – which sucks.What if Airtable simply allowed you to only have 25 ACTIVE automations, but allowed you to create an unlimited number of INACTIVE automations?That seems fair. And, it would be a great mechanism to help users improve their Automations.Right now, it seems like Airtable hasn’t really thought through the whole “lifecycle” as to how their customers use/manage/retire/troubleshoot Automations – and it clearly shows.Meanwhile, Make.com (formerly Integromat) would be more than happy to eat into this business further (which is a shame).

I have a lot of custom Airtable Apps. This code base is spread accross multiple bases and tables. To copy-paste or to update code, I have to open a base, open the Apps panel, scroll to the App, and edit the App. And that’s when I remember where the code I want to copy is. Most of the time, I end up browsing my entire list of custom apps until I find that one snippet that was doing the thing I need, or to make sure I have modified all of the apps that needed an update. It would greatly speed up my working process if I could browse all of this code I wrote, from a single location. Let’s call it “My code” or something

I’ve got a pretty large Airtable base, with multiple tables. The base is synchronized to an external PostgresQL DB. Originally, I used the built-in RECORD_ID() function to keep track of record identity across all tables… but then, I realized that if you ever CLONE the base or RESTORE a base from a previous version, all of those RECORD_ID() values do not stay the same – they become different for each of those records.Overall, that’s bad when you’re trying to synchronize these records to an external database.That’s why I use a separate, manually managed, field called “UUID” for all tables. Automation runs such that whenever a new record is created, it will automatically fill in the UUID value (side note: it would be really, really nice if Airtable provided this functionality built-in, but whatever).In any event, sometimes there are bugs in the Automation, and it might accidentally write a new UUID value into a record that already has a UUID value

I have a base that includes screenshots in an attachment field. It would save me significant time to be able to ctrl-V onto the attachment cell while the image is on my clipboard, without opening an additional attachments dialogue. As of now I have to click the ‘+’ button, click to remove focus from main window, then ctrl-V, click upload, then wait for upload. A streamlined solution would save 3 clicks and perform uploading in the background. If the attachments are large waiting to upload prevents me from working on the table for significant time. This was mentioned previously here but not directly addressed: Attachments: Ability to paste (cmd + v) a screen shot into the field from my clipboard.

I need to copy an attachment into another cell, but that cell already has a document that I need to keep, in addition to the one I want to add. If I drag the cell corner to copy, it overwrites the existing document in the next cell.

In the Filters section you can create condition groups, which is great.When building automations, you should be able to also creats condition groups to allow for more specific conditions like the use of AND and OR statements together, in different condition groups.

Hi guys, Airtable really a great product, my congratulations. The perceived weakest point of Airtable is blocks connection. I don’t know if it’s a strategy decision or just a technical matter you would solve later. In the meanwhile I though a simple shortcut. In this case the problem is mainly customer perception, since you could put all the tables in a base. Therefore, if you could just add a tag field associated to each table, so you could group by the tables and see the table in multiple “sub-bases”.Just an example, you are designing your startup organization tool on airtable. You would have a “sub-base” for accounting, for hr, operations, communication and so on, you could use a same table (as contancts) for many sub-bases, or still make a complete summary report. It would be great if Airtable could hold off applying filters until I have exited the record or row I am editing. Right now if I need to edit a column of values that trigger a filter, I have to edit the values one at a time, slowly, because every time I set the value the record disappears from under me before I can do any other editing on the record or drag/fill other records.

Hello! I am creating a schedule where each record is an event. Each record/event includes a column for “invitees” which is a linked record to my contacts tables. Each record/event also includes a multiple select field for “tags” which is how I’m categorizing the events to be able to create specific calendars by department, etc.This issue is, when I often (i.e. multiple times a day) want to add/remove a single invitee or a tag to dozens or hundreds of events. So far, I’ve only been able edit each record individually. It would be great it I could select the applicable records and then add or remove the invitee to all selected records without modifying the other invitees on that record. That’s why the copy/paste feature doesn’t work in this use case. Each record has a unique mixture of tags and invitees.I’ve seen some formula based solutions to this that involve creating new fields, adding the value to the new field, using a formula to combine the fields

Ciao, It would be great if you could configure linked fields to only populate with records that match certain conditions. Those conditions being values entered in other fields on the same table. EG: Table oneField One = RetailerField two = Product TypeField Three = Item ID/SKU = this field is a linked record field which only allows the selection of records whose fields match/contain the values entered in it’s shared table. EG:Field 1 Retailer = Allen’s Discount Grocery EmporiumField 2 Product Type = FoodField 3 Item ID/SKU, should only let me select Hot dogs, apples, bread… It should not let me select Rodent Killer XXX manufactured by Howie Liu’s Elimination Station. For me, this seems to be air tables biggest limitation.

When sorting text written in Swedish I get the following order: Ägg Bacon Ketchup The correct sort order, in Swedish, is to sort A-Z and then Å, Ä, Ö. Googling this issue returns no relevant results, so I am assuming this is something you need to implement. So my feature request would be internationalization for fields when it comes to sorting.
