What you guys think about this feature, that if we can share/add collaborators just for a single table. It will help soo much and i think this is a very demanding feature. Everyone should comment exress there review on this. Please airtable check on this option very interesting. @Katherine_Duh @Jason @Kamille_Parks @Rose_K @Adam_Minich @Gareth_Pronovost

Allow permissioning per Base within a workspace. Right now I’d have to create a separate work space to allow my users to be editors in one base but a creator in another, which creates billing problems and duplicate charges.

Allow changing the view filter of a lookup when selecting the record. Sometimes I filter the lookup and on a different view I need the filter to be different. So either allow different filters per view, or allow user to directly change filter on the record selection view.

Please consider creating a Gmail Add-On. Allow us to turn emails into tasks in Airtable. Thanks! Mark

I was so disappointed when I finished my base, downloaded the App on my Cell… Only to realize that I couldn’t just click the form view on my cell and start inputting items into my base! What the heck! Seems like such a simple- No brainer thing to have available in IOS. Please Please make this available!

It would be nice to be able to group table views into groups or folders that could be collapsed. The real problem probably isn’t with needing views grouped so much as the base creator being able to modify a collaborator’s personal view. As the creator, I manage the base but due to the complexity of databases, the collaborator-user may change something on their view that inadvertently “breaks” its usability, they then need to make it collaborative to be fixed. Since I need to be able to fix/add to my users’ views, I keep them either collaborative or locked which means that I have many many views, making for a cluttered and long list. Having folders would allow me to group the views either by purpose or user.

All - I have seen this suggestion before but since the Views sidebar functionality is being currently developed - I thought would ask. It would be great to have collapsible groups in the Views panel. Thanks Jonathan

Good morning, I am wondering if there is a feature which can allow us to organize our views? What I mean is I have made a number of views and I would like to organize them like a page tree. For example: Most used -view -view -view Leadership Views -view -view -view You can see this list is getting long… it would be great to bucket them and be able to collapse them when not needed?

It would be excellent if we could create folders in the views panel. My team uses a large number of views on one massive table, and the ability to cluster those in folders would make it simpler for older members of our team to navigate the different views and understand why those views exist. For example, we created a number of personal views for users so that they could individually get specific types of email alerts with automation and then return to a view just for them, and if we could collect those views in a folder it would largely declutter our list of views. Also, I would appreciate any apps or extensions to help with this! (I anticipate responses of better culling the views to only the essentials, but that, unfortunately, is beyond my control haha.)

It’d be great if the primary field for a table could be defined as consisting of multiple fields. For example, I have a “Movies Watched” base containing a table listing movies, and another table listing viewings. The viewings table has a link to the movies table and a date. Each viewing record can be uniquely identified by the combination of the movie and date. At present, since there is only one primary field, and that field cannot be a lookup, I have to set the primary field as a formula concatenating the movie lookup and date to create a fake composite field. A (simpler) alternative would be allowing the primary field to be hidden - as if the primary field is a formula based on other fields (such as in this instance) the data making up this primary field is already displayed elsewhere, and any fields used to create that primary field cannot be hidden if you want to be able to (easily) edit them.

Include “test connection” button on the Connected Accounts profile window Often times I don’t know if the connection is working or not. Is Airtable checking the connection all the time so it would notify me if there is an issue? Likely not checking, so I would like to be able to run the connection (authorization) check myself. Google like to disable integration for instance whenever it feels it needs to verify users login again. So it would be helpful to be able to verify the connection is alive.

My issue is my Notification window shows notifications for issues and errors with automation across entire workspace. If there are multiple clones of the same base, it is impossible to tell which notification is for which base. I have to click on the notification and it takes me to the base. That’s OK if I have time to deal with all, but if all is want I want to focus on the issues for a specific base, I can’t tell which is which.Yes, sure, I can change the name of the automation but it won’t help once I copy clone the base, I will need to rename all the automations.It would be nice if there was name of the base under the date/time of the notification.

Currently you can execute a scripting app from the desktop version. Much of our data entry is done through the mobile app and many of them are complex and take many taps and entry into many fields. This can be steamlined quite a bit with scripting apps.

How can I copy multiple non-continuous cells? Ask the community FWIW using the tag “@Airtable” only creates a link to a page showing all users in the “Airtable” group (all Airtable staff members), but I don’t believe that it tags

Sort of like x-mind but for airtable. I wanna use this as my productivity app for personal use too. I love it.

It would be good to be able to use the CSV Import block while fields are set to not let anyone edit the values. We should have another option to “Allow this field to be modified by CSV Import”. Additionally it would be helpful to do the exact same with the Script block. Where we have “Nobody” being able to edit the values of the field but where there is an option to “Allow this field to be modified by Scripting Block”.

Hi all - while the Color feature is fine, it does not visually separate rows well. It would be excellent to have a feature where you can color/highlight/grey out entire rows. In my use case for example, it would be greying out and/or italicizing rows that have a start date in the future The problem with simulating this via grouping by a calculated field is that when you group by a calculated field you can no longer add new entries, which is cumbersome (to have to remove the grouping and re-add it every time you want to create a new item, such as when you’re walking through the list as a team)

Please create an option to permanently hide a field. Especially the fields that are apparently REQUIRED when linking to another table. It would be great if the table that was linked FROM didn’t get clogged with that annoying field. For example, when linking to different tables, a field is created on the original table. Yes, this field can be hidden…in the grid view. However, in card view, when a record is clicked (expanded) to see more information, that field is shown.

Emails sent through AUTOMATIONS are double-spaced. It looks awful. Why is it done this way?I also think that the emails coming out of AUTOMATIONS should offer some conditional coding. For example, if the value of A is ‘x’ then display field B, otherwise display field C. I know I can handle that with an AirTable field that contains the value I want to display but I end up with sooooo many fields in AirTable. In fact, I already had to create several ‘automations-related’ fields strictly because of lookup fields.Another idea would be to allow more formatting options within the email message. Why not offer color or highlighting or underlining?

Is it possible to enable Markdown formatting in the page designer app so that you can format within text boxes

Hi All, I know the question of setting different weekends has been asked in terms of other countries other than the US. But I work for a defense contractor in the US and I need to adjust my weekend type because the 100,000 people workforce is switching over to a 4-10 schedule. That means 4 days a week 10 hours a day. I need to be able to adjust the weekend in the US. Please implement this change in Gantt settings as soon as possible. Thanks

We have a monthly weekend project that includes many tasks within a 24 hour window, starting at a large variety of times. While a Gantt is more geared towards longer term projects, it would still be nice to be able to see the Gantt offer the ability to drill down to a day view, and then display based off of all the start/end times.
