I’ve started using some complex formulas to create reports on particular tables for validation, which works great on iOS as the full field is shown with line breaks: Unfortunately on the desktop there’s no way to view the full contents of this field without copying and pasting it to a text editor or something similar. Would be great to be able to expand this field easily to view it.

I think it would be helpful/useful/great to be able to see a ‘Latest’ or ‘New’ Template and/or Universe section, much like the ‘Featured’ sections, if at all possible. I check the Templates and Universe pages on a regular basis for ideas for implementing into my own bases, or for creating new ones, and it would be awesome if there was a way to see the latest and greatest adds to these areas. Perhaps the ‘Featured’ sections already do this in some way, but I cannot tell from just looking at the pages regularly, so any clarification would also be appreciated! Thanks for your time!

This is a simple one: Being able to drag a link from a regular web page to a field in the base with the URL field type. This is great for keeping track of published articles / youtube links in a publishing schedule base. It’s great for researching competitors too.

Please can you add a checkbox option to disable linked fields from creating new records? This would really help me in some places I’m having data errors.

Is there any plan to do a MS word/Google Doc type text editor ? This would be great.

Hello, I’m wondering if you could provide an option to keep new fields hidden in all views except the one in which their added. I have a number of custom views in my tables. Currently, every time I add a new field to one view, I have to go through all of the other views and hide it. Thank you! Meg

Currently when grouping, the value of the field shows as a kind of title for the group. When the field value is longer than the first column, only the first few characters show, not to mention the space taken by the record count. I think it’d be ideal if the full value text were to appear, followed by the count, but not restricted to the first field width. That way it’d be much easier to use IMO.

This would be a VERY GREAT FEATURE : Introducing a little arrow in the “link to another Record” fields in order to collapse/expand linked record ant to see them in a vetical way (without opening an external window) !

It would be great if the attachment field could also allow the creation of attachments. For instance, it would be good to click on the + sign in an attachments filed box and instead of loading an attachment from Google Drive or Evernote, for instance, it would allow the option to create a new note or create a Google Doc and then automatically link that new item. At the moment I have to leave Airtable, go to the relevant service, such as Google Docs, create the document, go back to Airtable, then link the document. It would save time if I didn’t have to do this and could create automatically linked documents from within the attachments field.

Airtable did an amazing thing with the implementation of looking up fields when creating a filter, making the life of people like me, with 60+ in a table, so much easier. I was hoping to see a similar feature for the show/hide fields toggles. Any chance you guys are working on that?

Hi, Has there been an update to the Customize Field editor layout this morning? The new look is great. Is there a way we could track these smaller releases in a blog or announcement board? It doesn’t appear to be in the What’s New base or Twitter/blog feeds. As we are evaluating the product for our production use it would be great to keep track of even smaller changes. Thanks!

Did a little UX study and found that a lot of users don’t use Ctrl/Cmd-C… shortcuts to cut/copy/paste. It amazes me. They know how to do it when taught but they just don’t use it, in Windows, in Word/Excel, on the Web… Would it be possible to implement cut/copy/paste in the right-click menu? Thanks!

I loved the product the minute I started to use. It can be a great end-to-end product with several more features. Especially in business, workflows with rules are great to automise some business processes. A feature of workflows with business process logic design ability can skyrocket the capabilities of Airtable, even in enterprise level.

I’d like to be able to specify fields as being lengths, weights, temperatures, etc. as once you have a lot of number fields it isn’t easy to see or remember what type of data is in each field. Alternatively (or ideally also) being able to format numbers using custom formats as can be done in Excel would make life easier - for example in Excel a format of 0.0" cm" would display a number as a length

Hey, Hopefully a quick and simple one - support the ability to PgUp and PgDown when navigating around the table. Very frustrating only being able to use the keyboard arrows. Thanks! Keith

I would love to be able to lock a view in a way that for further editing/filtering you first need to unlock it.

Allow checking of a checkbox if in Kanban views if the checkbox is viewable in the visible card body. Right now I can see the checkbox, but I have to drill into the record to edit such. I’d rather be able to toggle the checkbox on/off directly in the card without having to drill into such. This would also be useful in the Gallery view.

Currently, when you have a “link to another record” there’s a checkbox for whether or not it’s a 1 to 1 or 1 to many relationship. Every time you link a record, the linker window closes (this is especially frustrating on mobile where it’s an extra button press to reopen vs on desktop, where it’s a keystroke). It would be cool if, when “multiple records” is checked, the system guesses that we’re going to be taking advantage of that and doesn’t close the selector after every form submission. Let me know if I’m describing this clearly or if you’d like more info. Thanks!

Currently, if you want to select all the records in a particular grouping you have to select them one by one. Suggest adding a checkbox in each group heading so can quickly select all the records for groups. Right now the individual level or all record selection at the table level is too little or too much. Looks like an oversight when the grouping functionality was added but maybe it just didn’t make it in the initial release?

It might be useful to have some way of tracking the web traffic for shared links, including having a list referring websites. The idea here is that we can track usage, remove links that aren’t used or reshape views in line with audience behaviour.

Is this feature already available? I find myself creating the same columns for a lot of tables. One example is when I’m trying to keep track of all my transactions for each month.

I would like to use a few basic emojis as visual indicators for states (e.g., stoplight charts, bug severity, etc.), but the current formatting doesn’t put space between the emoji and the following text. So I put this in (formatted as I want it)… How it actually displays (spaces are parsed out)…

We’re currently using airtable as a pretty advanced project management system, so we commonly have about 40-60 columns per table, and we’ll also have 20+ views per table as well. With this many columns/views, and many of them being the same (as far as ‘column order’ goes), we’d love to be able to copy the column order (and other view attributes) and paste it into another view. If this copy/paste function could be similar to the Adobe products where you can copy/paste ‘layer styles’, that would be great! So, if the ‘hidden fields’, ‘filters’, ‘grouped by’ and ‘column order’ could be copied and pasted (applied) to another view, that would be ideal. It would be even better if I could select which items I’d like to be copied, and which ones to start fresh on. Thoughts on this?

Airtable is becoming our standard database tool. So we’d like to use it for surveys. But the form formatting options are beyond elementary. I’d love to see options that allow for accurate, sensitive surveying, a la Qualtrics. Thank you!
