I’d like to suggest adding a feature where we can quickly acknowledge comments or activity of other users in the “Activity” sections of projects. Generally this is something like a thumbs up button where somebody can click on it as a way of simply letting the person who made a comment or any kind of post in the activity center know that they have seen their submission without needing to take the time to type out a comment informing them they have seen it.Thanks!

I would like to request the use of additional barcode scanners, other than the one on our phones.I work in a school and this would be immensely helpful in integrating student ID barcodes into many things we are building in airtable right now.P.S. Airtable has been a game changer for us. Thank you!

It would be great to have lookup functionality without needing to link table first, essentially a VLOOKUP function. Let’s say I have a table of products: And I have another table where my salespeople enter customer orders (let’s say they are scanning barcodes using the mobile app) I want to look up the scanned barcode in the products table without making an explicit link between the two. The way this works at the moment is that you have to link the two tables and search for the product record you want. For speed, I want my team to simply scan a barcode and have Airtable do the lookup in the background. This would need some error handling in case the scanned barcode does not exist in the products table. I could use a formula to, for example, “VLOOKUP” the product name into the orders field to show whether or not the scanned barcode exists. Just one use case, I can see lots more examples where a VLOOKUP-style function would be really useful.

I would like to have the ability to sort all of the options/values in a Single Select field. Then I could more quickly spot the one I want to select.

The SendGrid block is currently unworkable, and it’s forcing us to find another solution. This is a big shame because it’ll require our teams to use two separate tools instead of one, even though this integration exists. Here are our needs in order of importance: The ability to add links, bullets, bold and italic text. This is baseline and we can’t get away without it even with our most basic emails. Email templates. We have one template that we’d like all of our employees to use for outreach (they should be able to make slight changes to match the context, switch out links, etc). Right now SendGrid just shows an empty text box. Custom reply-to per email blast. We’ll have multiple people using our Airtable, and we’d like the emails they send out to reply back to them. Right now it seems the block only supports a global reply-to email, which means only one person can use it at a time. The Google Map block should have a setting allow it to be set by default, to Light, Map or Satellite. Currently it defaults to Light, which I find very low contrast and difficult to read. It also doesn’t have as much visual impact as ’ Map’ view.

Continuing the discussion from Created / Modified Timestamps: Created / Modified Timestamps Is there a way to get a record’s creation and/or last modified timestamp? Perhaps using a formula field or through meta info provided through the API? ~ Tim Currently CREATED_TIME() exists, but not CHANGED_TIME(). I suppose CHANGED_TIME shouldn not be updated when table schema is altered, e.g. when ‘{username} caused a change due to modifying a column’ message is logged in records’ histories.

Either via api for top email verification service providers like neverbounce, email listverify,zero bounce so that we can clean email addresses inside airtable only.

Please create an option to turn off the “+add new record” button in the linked record field. Some of the users of our databases are opting to create a new record instead of searching to see if the record already exists. As a result, they end up duplicating the records. In our case, the linked field is a list of companies so we end up having multiple records for the same company.

I like the send record function (select records - right click - send record), however it would be nice if you can send from your email (instead of the default noreply@airtable.com) so people can respond to the email. Any intentions to adding this? Thanks.

Would like to be able to back up each base from the airtable “home” page (from the base dropdown), rather than have to open each base to do it.

We have the ability to increase row height, Airtable is a mature software at this point, why isn’t there the ability to either increase the column title height or Wrap for Column titles. The base ends up way to long left to right with way to much scrolling.

Is there any way to write a comment on a field, for example explaining what the field options are? Does this exist anywhere, or some sort of workaround?

Please make it easier and automatic to do recurring tasks when using Airtable for project management. Not with 3rd party integration or with an explicit creation of the future data. (My superior thinks Airtable is too tough to deal with because when she googled recurring tasks it seemed like an ordeal, and this is preventing her for getting on board.) Thanks, Dev

I don’t know, maybe it’s just me. I’d like to have the option to have bullet points for the cells. I sometimes have awesome ideas for my editorial calendar and sometimes using dashes don’t just cut it. What do u think?

I am a STEM student who is making a database for all of my math/physics/engineering formulas. Please consider adding an equation editor so I could enter formulas like this: Instead of like this: v = sqrt(G*ME/r) Right now I am using an “Attachments” field to link to digitized notebooks like Wolfram Mathematica, Microsoft OneNote, LaTeX, etcetera, but I don’t want to have to open a file every time either! Hello, Are their any plans in the new future to expand the Page Designer so we can create custom reports with multiple records on one page like in FileMaker Pro? It looks like folks have been asking for this feature for years. Would love to for example create a format that generates a book of all my databases. I hesitate to make suggestions here, because of how even the most popular and basic requests have yet to be implemented, but I will anyway. I would like to be able to execute an HTTP request against values in other fields. This is possible in Excel and would be just as valuable here. The most basic implementation would use the GET method where I would define the URL and querystring separately. GET Endpoint: https://my.rest.endpoint.com/api/doTheThing Querystring: myVal1={{Field Name}}&myVal2={{Field Name2}} Yes, this would be an advanced feature that would generate support requests. Perhaps it could be hidden behind an Advanced Features toggle in a workspace’s or base’s settings.

There is so much things to do…Choose which picture/attachement I want to show instead of the first (? why the first ?)If my idea is to show all pictures, I want it to be square or not ! Because this is so simple to include, we are not sure if this is a bug or just a very surprising oversight.When you click on the search button within a table, you can search for any data, in any field, in any record, instantly.When you click on the search button within the base/main view, it only appears to search the titles of the bases and doesn’t include the search results that you would see when searching in the table view.From our limited coding experience, this would likely take a couple of hours fix as all that would need to be done is, when a user uses the base view search, just also search each of the users tables (as is done in the table view search) and include those results alongside the standard base name results. This is a common feature in almost every other similar online service and so has become an expected, mandatory requirement from any user.We have found several alternatives that do the same thing or very similar to Airtable but their universal search also includes

Is there a way to make a template for a type of record that will be used multiple times for new instances of the same kind?For example, I follow a seven-step process when designing logos. I have a base tracking projects using records that include details like tasks to complete. The seven steps I follow are captured as tasks for each project record. I’m finding that I’d have to recreate the list tasks for every logo design project. It’s a lot of repetitious work.If there’s a way to make a template of a logo design record to start with and customize for each new project instance without lingering link issues that would be fantastic!Is that possible in Airtable without any add-on app? If not, can it be made possible?
