Hi,Could it be possible to make a Lookup command so we can nest the lookup inside a conditional IF.Thanks !

When you link records from one table to the next, you can only see that value/linked field in one color. Blue…If you want to visually see the difference between dozens of values in a table, it becomes visually hard to quickly identify a specific value/linked record.Just like we are given colored options with multi-select and single select fields, we should also be able to have a similar menu to determine what color we want each “linked record value” to be.

If I have a list of tasks in a single table, many of which are blocked or required for some other task, it would be very useful to allow us to sort that “link to record” column topologically (ie. non-circular dependencies always come before their children) This would enable users to easily find the next task which is open to pick up without manually backtracking to figure out the dependency graph themselves

This feature was already requested 3 months ago but it was never answered except by other people saying how important it is! So I’m doing it again. Please please let us use views on linked fields, not just tables. The capacity for corrupting the data is huge when we can’t control what can be selected. For example, I have a list of events at which something can be hired. I want to prevent the selection of an event in the past, the selection of an item that’s already hired out, the selection of a blacklisted user. When I process the return of a hire I select the hire from a list - I want to only display current hires, not have to trawl to the bottom of a list of past hires first. There’s so many ways this is essential! At the moment I solve this by using a sort order to push the most likely selections to the top of the list. But given that the sort order isn’t applied unless you actually click the button, this creates quite an overhead. For example, when I add a user it’s probably becaus

The Google Drive integration is really great, but it lacks a search, which can make it very difficult to find the actual file. I end up just pasting a link in the notes field as it currently works, since it’s not easy for me to take a file I have open and connect it to a record. If I could search my documents to find what I’m looking for, that’d be great. Or, if you could just attach a google drive link and have it work, that’d be great too.

We “print” a lot of documents at work today without using a single sheet of paper. Everything is digitally produced and therefore sent to emails or shared online. My point is why we don’t have an option to send by email the generated documents on the “Page Designer” block? I have a print option and that’s it. Oh yes I can print it to a pdf and then send it by email but have your heard of automation? I wish that I could choose a field with an email address for each record and press “send” the current view to the interested parties. Like SendGrid block but with generated pdf documents.

So i can know who the user is and give them access to specific table records to modify.

It can be difficult to understand what someone’s formula is doing when the editing window is so small and the formula is huge, spanning many lines and wrapping many times, sometimes with deeply nested IF statements.It would be great to have a larger space to view and work with the entirety of the formula, especially if the formula is also prettily formatted and structured to make it more readable!

It would be great to see an option to add sections to the page builder.This could really increase the flexibility of the visual data on the page by having option of when to display that data if particular fields are empty.For example, you have a linked record that may not always get completed dependant on the task, but currently if you want to print that data you would have to set it up in the page builder anyway and print blank fields.By creating a section, you could drop a group of fields in there and select which ones need to be complete before this section will show.This would also work really well with larger invoices, rather than guess the number of lines you may need, the sections would push the lower order section down the page.Hopefully this makes some sense because it would be awesome to use… in my opinion 😄

A keyboard shortcut to start a new, blank record.I know this seems already possible with Shift + Enter or by clicking the plus on the bottom row, but as we have our records grouped by a ‘Status’ field, if we use this method then it starts a new record with a status (instead of no status).

As many here have probably discovered, Integromat provides an amazing degree of flexibility when it comes to building integrations and logic for Airtable. However, there is one huge issue and that is the flaky nature of the connection between Integromat and Airtable during the development process, where you have to wait ages while the Airtable API limits reset. Integromat tell me this could be fixed if AT provided access to their Private API (is that the correct term?) which must be being used by Zapier already? I would really like to see this issue resolved as Integromat provides much more flexible and simple to use logic which can really transform a Base’s usefulness!

Would be so nice to have some options in a form for dates. My dilemma tonight is I need a base that collects a record for each committee our employees serve on within our department, within our organization, and outside our organization.The first annoyance for the forms end user is they will have to complete a new form for each committee they serve on. My wish is they could select their name and fill out the first form and submit and when they select the option to complete another form it would auto-populate the name field. This would be a nice service for them.In this form I need to know the month and year they began serving on the committee and if then month year they terminated their service or if they are still presently serving on the committee.Here are some screen shots that I took from another form (not Airtable) that collects membership dataThank you for your consideration - very grateful for Airtable and their amazing team!

Ability to create instance a table of another base into Another base. That instance will just mirror the actual table form from other base. This will solve all the cross-base feature requests and issues 🙂

Many of the core keyboard shortcuts make Airtable a breeze to use, but there are some key areas where data entry gets stalled because you have to go back to the mouse or trackpad — this seems really pronounced in the Calendar views and when using date fields.In a calendar view, for instance, something like the following would be great:CMD/CNTL-LEFT/RIGHT: Move back or forward one day/week/month depending on the current layout.Some combination to add a new recordArrow keys navigate among the records in the calendar view. When the one you want is in focus, you can open it with the usual SPACEBAR shortcut.For date fields:OPT-ARROWS or FN-ARROWS currently navigates through the popup date picker, but you cannot actually SELECT a date from the keyboard. Some combination that moves the highlighted blue date and updates the field when you hit ENTER would be nice.

I can customize kanban cards - only the title of the kanban card I can’t change. The title of a kanban card is always the primary field. Not a problem - the primary field is very flexible and can even be the result of a formula.I keep running into a situation, however, where I want to fine tune the calendar view, the kanban view and even the grid view. And one primary field as the only allowed source for the titles of kanban cards and calendar items is very limiting.Why shouldn’t it be possible to customize those titles?

I’m using Airtable for tracking a large set of product ideas. I share this table with many other people and I would like a way to gauge the group’s interest in ideas as a way to bubble up the best. (Up voting and down voting). It would be great if there was a custom Voting/Like/+1 Field that would let each user up vote or down only once and result in an integer that you could then sort on. It may be hard to build but, would replicate a pretty basic Reddit-type functionality. Thanks!

I love Airtable and Forms. Would like to request a future feature request that would allow multi-select to be checkboxes instead of selecting from a drop-down list. I’ve found It is not intuitive to the end user to select multiple options by selecting the ‘select option’ button. A temporary fix might be once one option is selected to change the button to read ‘select another option’. The problem is if you have a hundred options, a checkbox would allow the user to see all the options. Thanks for all Airtable is doing to improve communication and eliminate the need for attachments and countless frustrating emails!

Being able to link records inline text blocks, inside long text fields. This would be a very helpful feature, I believe.

Our entire workflow hinges on quick and easy mass-merging of records based on simple rules:When the Email keys of two records match create a single record out of both:Ignore empty fieldsWhen available, select the more recent entry to a fieldThis is because we plan on sending follow-up surveys to people in the database, and updating their records w/ updated answers or new columns.Also, at the scale we’re planning, it’s simply not workable for us to go record-by-record and manually figure out which fields are newer. So, ideally this could be done for the entire database with a click of the button—or even automatically as new rows are added to the database.Thanks!

Hello,I daily update a database of my stock by product in a ‘base’.I would like to have for each row the product image.Every row will then have: Product code, description, stock quantity, image of the product.Is it possible to do such a thing?The idea can have a separate database with product code and image. Airtable should then recognize the product code in my other base and show the picture.Is there a way to have something like that?Thanks,Matteo

I would love to be able to import a list with an extra field that I define during the CSV import or contact card import. For example, I’d like to import a contact group with the field “Group” being something I can label as “Pearl’s College Friends” on the fly, for the entire import file.Since VCF format doesn’t have this built in it should have an option to include a single line of text, or a checkbox, or whatever during import.For the CSV import I suppose I could manually edit the CSVs before import to say what I want, but it would be great to do this in realtime during import as well, as recreating a CSV is a multi step process.Pearl

There is a Zapier trigger when a field is created, and a Zapier action to update existing records. However, there is no Zapier trigger that uses a record being updated as a starting point. For example, I can have a Zap that says when a new customer is added to my base, add them to a Mailchimp list. When the new record is added, I have a single select called ‘Status’. When the customer is added, this is set to ‘Lead’. If this customer moves to ‘Dealt’, it would be great to able to move that customer onto a different targeting list on Mailchimp. However, because ‘When a record is updated’ isn’t available as a starting point, a lot of potential actions are ruled out.
