Sometimes when I prefill a field I don’t want it to be changed, and it can’t be done by inserting default values if I want more than 1 different prefilled links. it could be solved (maybe) if the prefill function works in a field hidden from form. But it would be optimal if there was an option to make the prefilled field fixed (in case I want that specific user to see the info).

I’ve just implemented a Checkbox field in one table of my “base” to track instances of superseded (“broken”) URLs. In a Grid view, Airtable appears to render a symbol in a Checkbox field for a record only when the state of the field in the record is “checked” (i.e., the underlying value is TRUE). Therefore, as a Pro plan subscriber, I chose a non-default Style (a red check symbol) for this field to visually denote that a check value represents an adverse result.From another table, I created a “linked record field” to the first table, then a Lookup field linked to the Checkbox field from that first table. It appears that the non-default Style I applied in the Grid view for the source field is not inherited in the Grid view of the referring table’s Lookup field, and that there is no independent means to Style the check symbol from that Lookup field (e.g., to “manually” match the styling of the source Checkbox field).This is a rather narrow use case, but I would appreciate if Airtable wou

A block which can simply display any web URL. This block would allow Airtable to be a more complete dashboard.For product-focused teams working on prototypes, device frames could be a nice touch (e.g. show your web app on an iPhone, like pasteapp.com).In addition, if that URL could be constructed from data, e.g. where selected table values can be appended to the URL as querystring, that would open up a world of possibilities to craft very simple bespoke web pages / product prototypes which react in real time to data changes.

When you assign a value to a linked field you choose from one or more records of the source field. I miss some additional info on the source field while you are choosing the right record. Example:Imagine 2 tables:TASKS (id, description, person-linked to PEOPLE table)PEOPLE (name, qualifications, experience, adress,…).There are 15 people you don´t know and you have to assing tasks to them. First you can have a look at the PEOPLE table, but at the time of assigning the person field within TASKS you cannot remember all of them. The info you see is not enough to make this choice. I can think of 3 possibilities:(full) A shortcut to get the PEOPLE records expanded views so that you can make your choice from there(reduced) The possibility to mark one of the fields in PEOPLE as info field. When you get the list of persons to assign you would see only the primary field and the info field (otherwise you see at least 3 fields and therefore the fist 4 words for each field)Thanks in advance.

Needs to be a way that items put in a block and be “locked” in place so you can’t move them by accident (right click, lock item, unlock item)also “undo and redo” funtionality.

A way to add a “button” that will insert the current GPS info, convert to address, and add date time to a text field.

The group nesting and sum features in Airtable are slick and potentially very useful, but not being able to display a weighted average in the groups’ summary bars is really painful. The solution to this problem appears, at least to me, to be very simple: Just implement an option in the summary bar pulldown of formula columns to apply their formula across the summary bar.The existence of this feature will probably make or break whether our company will use Airtable.

Just to be able to organize and create groups of views within one organization to make it easier to browse the views

It would be good to be able to chart table data using a date range in addition to the existing options of bucket by day, week, month, quarter, year… etc. The use case being if you want to visualize data in date ranges that correspond to business reporting financial years. For example, in Australia, the financial year runs from 1 July to 30 June. In UK, the financial year runs 1 April to 30 March.

Often times, I would like to add a note or comment to a somewhat static entry. To keep the tables clean, I like less information, but it would be great to drill down into a cell a little deeper and be able to make a comment.

Can we have color coding available for records in blocks the same way that they are in views? I’d be happy to use the same color criteria used for a block’s view, or to have custom criteria for the block.My first priority would be in the Matrix block.

There are a number of task management features that Airtable needs in order to fully replace other popular apps. I think the best dedicated task management app is MeisterTask (like Trello), which has a superb UI and functional design. I recommend paying close attention to what they’ve done—then consider ways Airtable could imitate (and improve upon!) some of that design. Here are some specific features for better task management: Checklists - This is already a highly demanded feature request. Checklists could be another field type or an automatic component of all records. (MeisterTask checklists are fast and easy, with template options!) Email Addresses for Records - Automatically assign an email address for each record, so emails can be sent and stored in a record. Once again, this could be built into each record or added as its own field type. Stack and Card Customization - The kanban and gallery views would both benefit from adjustable sizing and placement options; the width of car

I’m using “Hide Fields” to make my views easier to read. However, it does not necessarily mean that I want to hide them from the expanded window. I might need all of the fields to be shown there.

I’m currently using Airtable as a daily planner on my phone. For space I want as few columns as possible, however, it’s sometimes important to have a reference such as an image or a link. As these are ‘notes’ to the rest of the table it would be nice to have them in a compact column rather than two separate columns.

Here’s a little UI problem: if you narrow the column on a link field with only one link record, you will only have the “X” for deleting the link to click on – it’s too easy to click into and delete the link. When the column gets too narrow to allow someone to be able to interact normally, a click could just expand the column enough to be usable. -Donald! image|215x132

When we put URL, have name like (Link name)[http://www…] like in markdown. This way we can put short name and multiple URL in field for action. Actually we see “http://ww…” everywhere, not userful.

Wish list item: The ability to make custom data entry forms. I’ve attached a sample of a form we made in the page designer block. There might be a handful of features in access that we actually like & unfortunately, this is one. Something like the picture that we can use & show the outputs on a table, if that’s something in the pipeline, we would love. It’d be great to say goodbye to the old platforms someday…

I have discovered that simple formula fields retain formatting options. For example, something like: {Hours}*{Hourly rate} …may be formatted as a currency with a preferred level of precision and currency symbol. But more complex formulas, such as those with conditional logic, do not have formatting options available. For example: IF( {Hours}=0, "", "£"&{Hours}*{Hourly rate} ) …is formatted as left-aligned text whether one likes it or not, even though the result is intended as a currency value. In my example, all I am trying to achieve is to prevent empty {Hours} values from getting reported as £0. So it would be great if formulas that can retain formatting options were provided a checkbox to Hide NULL values. I use the word ‘NULL’ here to mean any value that equates to empty: “” in an empty text field 0 in an empty numeric field There may be other values worth embracing such as “FALSE” or “NULL” There will be times when people do want empty value to be visible, which is why I pro

As of the latest update, the calendar views are no longer showing image thumbnails on the entries. This is extremely important for me so I can identify entries at a glance. I hope this is just a bug and will be back to normal soon.

Is there a way to add buttons which do some automated jobs inside AirTable ? This feature will be a killer. For example; From the customers table with form view, I click a button to invoice the customer and the invoice form comes with pre-filled info from the customer I was in and sends a mail with my smtp server. This can be done with a field type “macro button” added and some script added to the button

I’m building out an org chart - it has around 50 rows. I find i’m often jumping between the block view and the table to ad the right rows. It would save time if there was some way to add child (or parent) record from the org view. For example, there could be a + symbol to the bottom tight of reach box.

A register of the date and time when the notification was recorded on Chime block could be REALLY helpful.

Anyone know of an integration from Quickbooks Online Customer List and Related Fields that Can Send or Push the Data Fields when a record is created or edited. i have looked everywhere on zapier and other so called sync and integration sites. I am unable to get this done. I create and edit customers in QBO everyday and would like that to send over to a Customer List within a table in Airtable platform. Thank You in Advance Joe
