Hello, we have approximately 100 staff operating remotely and we use airtable to keep track of when they are available. Every week they email me in their date gaps that they are available and the location they will be in at the start and end of the gap (e.g. 11 June 2019 London - 10 July 2019 Paris). We need to know when they are free (not when they are working). At the moment they email in their dates and I manually enter them into the system. The dates are constantly changing and updating. So far airtable is great for keeping track of the dates and gaps, but if data entry could be automated at the staff level to enter their dates it would be a great time saver. Is there any way to have our staff be able to use a third party app or similar to edit their calendars which then when they complete an update it will automatically update their view in Airtable? I use Airtable to manage our goat dairy. I recently created a form to input the health checks directly into the database from our phones. It works great, but I am trying to eliminate the goats, no longer with us, either sold or deceased. I added a field in my main base of “In Herd” with a check mark option. The lookup for this field into our health base only returns the first goat, Aaron and leaves blank every other goat. I am lost. Thank you in advance. Image shows the receiving base of the lookup.

Hi. I am new at airtable. I rent camera equipment and would like to stick an QR code on every piece of equipment. Is there a possibility to scan each piece with the QR code when renting the equipment and Airtable picks it up in a seperate list (rent to) and when it comes back it is scanned again and set back to “in stock” ? Is it possible to allow access to view (grid or gallery) only when input by user matches a field? For example I want user to only see his or her records, so I will get name or mobile as input and filter records to show only this.

I am working on a table to track products produced. My tables are the following. Parts - These are parts used to produce products Products - These are products produced from the parts Parts to produce junction table - This is a list of parts used to create the products with variations of parts used per product, and total weight etc. (many to many relationship) Build List - This is a list of products for production to build. How do I create a new table “parts to build list” for each build list automatically? I would like to select a product, and in another junction table create a copy of all the parts needed to produce from the “parts to produce junction table”. I used to use Filemaker, and this was a simple click of a button to automatically create records in a junction table when records were created in a linked table. I’m assuming this is available in Airtable, but I haven’t seen the option. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

I am trying to figure out the best way to create the “New Record in View” trigger that Zapier has without having to use both softwares for my project. Ideally, this would be an Instant Trigger rather than a Scheduled Trigger, so I think the best way to do this would be with a “Watch Records” module in Integromat. Can anyone recommend the best way to go about doing this? Is there any way to do this without having to rely on the “last modified time” or “created time” fields? Thank you!

Hi - I want to allow users who fill in a form to either select a pre-created option (easy) OR create their own option. Put another way, I’d like a form user to add their own options to our overall table, which then become options for future users (although those users can still add their own new options). I believe I have set everything correct: Clicked on → Allow this field to be set in records created through forms. It is a multi-select field that can easily have new options added directly in the table (but not from the form). I have received the following error: Cannot accept submissions because forms don’t have permission to set the required field XYZ.

I have a form on my website that takes in information, runs some calculations, and outputs updated values. Is there a way to insert a record of the output in Airtable every time someone uses the tool? Is this something our PHP developers should work on or is there a simpler way for me to integrate with Airtable without writing PHP? Thanks.

I think I’ve bitten off more than I can chew. I want my data in Airtable to flow into a snazzy PDF invoice. My data is spread across several tables (!) and now I need help to unpick my knotted CRM to enable this task. For example… Every invoice goes to a company, right? So, I put a lookup in my invoices table to reveal the company name. Then I lookup the company address, ZIP code and city. To make this a form-sensible address, I concatanate these together (with carriage returns!) to start. Then comes a subject line, and the salutation. That needs a lookup to the name, gender and then a field with Dear Sir…, or Dear Mr and so on. My customers get billed monthly, and I keep a running total of their orders. What I’d therefore like to do is print a list like that below: `Socks 2 @$5 + tax` `Shoes 4 @$4 + tax` `Belts 5 @$6 + tax` `Ties 5 @$7 + tax` For that I need linked records, ri

I’m a Project Manager at aa design studio, and what I’m looking to do is create a base that takes my team’s hours from our time-tracking software, and be able to look into the amount of time spent per job and make an average by job-type. For example, if I’m starting a web design project, I’d like to be able to look into my base, and see what the average amount of time (hours) that we spent on our previous web design projects. I’ve already built out a table that should work, and have all of our data imported to it. Now I’m wondering how to get the average, per job-type. I am trying to integrate with JotForm and I am running into problems. It seems like the Airtable cell datatype is not corresponding with the JotForm datatype. Has anyone done any in-depth integrations with both platforms? Thanks, Eric

I want to publish a master/detail report that can be viewed outside of the Airtable environment. I read several posts that tell me there is still no solution. Then I remembered that the groups view is rendered as an html page and if I could just save page as… then I’d get what I want. This save gets me the part of the page that is shown, not the rest, and does not have the expand/collapse capability working in the saved html file. Any suggestions on how to get past these issues would be appreciated. Alternatively, any option to export the grouped data into an XML format with some way of generating the xml schema would aslo be good. Thanks in advance for any help. Mike Panyszak

I have a simple gallery, showing three fields. One of the fields links to related records. The gallery card shows a limited number of related records before it cuts them off. I would like to print the gallery cards showing all related records. How do I do that?

I am trying to import an .ics file (generated from Google Calendar) into Airtable with the calendar block, but when I get to the mapping step, the only fields I’m able to map are the Name and the Notes. For some reason the date and time fields are not mapping.

I’ve embedded a Gallery view on to my website. I’d love the option of linking to a working table once the content is approved to be displayed live on the site. The problem I’m having is that upon linking from one table to another, the rich text formatting is lost, and therefore no longer how I want the gallery look to appear on the website. Please help!

Hi, We have an Airtable form that might get swamped by the public. I know that the API has a general rate limit of 5 requests per second, but is form submission rate-limited in any way? For example, if we got 10,000 responses in 8 hours, which is about 20 responses per second, will Airtable melt? Thanks, Ben

I have 2 different lookup fields: Release1 = lookup individual item release date from another table ReleaseMulti = rollup multiple items release date based on condition (if its a multi-item) using MIN(Values) I then have a formula field: RELEASE = IF(Release1="", ReleaseMulti, Release1) Without grouping, this RELEASE field appears correct… for example showing 9/30/2020 in several records. However… if I group by RELEASE, I find that it will split into different groups if the 9/30/2020 is from Release1 vs ReleaseMulti in a different group This is very problematic. I know ReleaseMulti is an array value, and on a similar text based field I used &’’ trick I read on these boards which solved that issue. But in this date field adding the &’’ to the end of ReleaseMulti in my formula does not work. I also tried many combinations of arrayflatten, arraycompact, date parse, datetimeformat, etc… t
