Hello allI know there is no "one size fits all" answer to this question - but I am desperate to get it resolved.Keen on anyones ideas / thoughts on a front end solution for Airtable. At the moment I use lots of shared bases - which does the job, but I would love other users to be able to edit and comment on records.Requirements are :Ability to edit / update / add Airtable recordsAll data / backend to be stored in Airtable Needs to look clean / classy / professional / snappy - but I would be creating a functional website used to manage projects - not necessarily sell thingsAbility for users (that I invite) to be able to log in and add comments Only up to about 10 users. Log in process should be very easy (I like Glideapps method of using an email pin)Grouping a list of data essential (ie - grouping by category / type) - just like you can in an Airtable grid view.Scaleable - initially I want to use it as a simple "Maintenance log" - where users can log issues. &nb
Ok, this may be super basic, but I really need help here. I've got two sets of data: 1. Google Analytics2 aHrefsThe Google Analytics data shows values like traffic, user engagement time, pages visited per session, etc and gives all of this for a single url. The aHrefs data gives data like keywords, keyword difficulty, search volume, etc, but instead of showing all of this data on a single url, it will give 50 of the same url (this is an arbitrary number) because aside from the url, all of the other data is unique. What I would like to do is combine all of that information into a single URL, So if there is one url, it will show me all of the different keyphrases it is ranking for, an average of their difficulty, etc. I need it all in a single record. So far, I've tried de-dupe, but it won't merge the different keyword values into a single field, it will just eliminate multiple of the same, and I'm a weeny with formulas, but tried the CON
I need some way to log (or view) records that have been recently commented on (by me, ideally, but by anyone is probably OK). I go through a base and look at my employee’s work, then ask her questions about it – need to find a way to follow up on those requests I sent via comment so I can see if they have been resolved. Open to some sort of automation/trigger/integration (zapier or whatever) but I can’t seem to find a way to make it happen. Is this possible? I know i could create a separate “comments” table and do it that way but I don’t want to. Thanks!
I have a table and each record includes a name, address, email address, phone number, and relationship. The relationship field is single select, and it consists of parent, student, donor, alum, and staff. I want to generate a report that gathers all of the records that are students and creates a report of each student's name and email address. How can I do this?
Does Airtable support sandbox instances? So for example if I need to develop and test before moving those changes to production, is there a way to do that? What Airtable capabilities allow this? If not, what have people used as a workaround?
Please community members😔, I'm new here and really need help understanding some things with airtable. In fact I upgraded for the team plan more than a month ago, it told me that my database is full yet I only have one database with 2100 records. I don't understand absolutely anything
Hi, I have a large table with many columns. But some columns are empty whilst some are full and this differs from a row to row. Is there a way to view single row that it would show only those fields which have some value in it and do not show empty fields? As to have a simpler view of the information. Thanks for suggestions!
A few months ago I received an email from product@mail.airtable.com descibing changes to handling of dates and timezones in scripting. Do I recall correctly? Can someone point me to the info it described? I’m still doing manual timezone adjustments in scripts but think this new feature can handle it properly???
Hello,I need help ☹, here a the scenario :"Real Estate" table has several fields (A1,A2, A3=( link(recordId of the "owner" table)), the "Intervention" table has several fields (B1,B2, B3=(link(recordID of the "owner" table) "Real Estate"), B4=(Lookup(recordId of the "Owner" table which is linked to the "Real Estate" table), B5=(link(recordID of the "Owner" table), . list in field B3 based on the equivalence between fields B4 and B5, and integrate this new list into a new field. Do you have any ideas for a formula or automation?I'm building an app with softr and airtable, i'm an owner and i want to create some cleaning intervention in my homes with a formula. i would like when i whant to create a new record "intervention" with a formula, only show the real estat list that belong to the owner (me) not all the list of real estat in the database.

Hi, I have an issue with transferring personal credits to my workspace. I just updated my plan to a business one, and now I want to transfer all my personal credits, but it doesn't work. I already resublmitted my card details, still no success. Please sort this out for me ASAP!
Hi guys!I am using Record Templates to auto-populate long text fields in existing records, but it doesn't seem to be working. I have a bunch of long text fields that I want to have templates for to auto fill them out when a project hits a certain phase. A manager will hit a Apply Template button on an interface to apply the template they want to a project. Current it only changes a single select option I have in the template. Do record templates not work with long text fields? If so does anyone know of a way to make this work? Thanks!
One of my tables is “Accounts” and it has gotten really wide (40+ fields) and growing. (Name, ID, Address Complete, Address1, Address2, City, State, Zip, Phone, Fax, Comments, Attachments, COD status, Credit Terms, Tax Exempt, Tax Exempt Number…) I’ve backed up the table and started playing with linking sub-sets of account information in multiple tables (a 2nd table for Address information, a 2nd table for Credit/Billing information, a 2nd table for interests/category information… so each table can be limited to 15 or fewer fields) What are the pros and cons of wide tables? The way I see it, going wide is: Pros: Everything can be entered in one record (I don’t need to go to multiple tables and re-type the account name to continue entering information) No confusion over whether the additional records have already been made in the additional tables Can use custom views to make the data more visually manageable Cons: Googling DB vs Spreadsheet makes me think that DB’s are supposed to
This has been discussed multiple times without one fortified solution. Thus, I must request help again - a file from Google Drive is being uploaded to Airtable via Integromat, but Airtable is automatically deleting the file after it is uploaded (the preview of the file is not proper either for the few seconds it is there) There is nothing wrong with the process as it worked twice, with the files getting properly attached. Without any change, the problem reappears, and I do not have a solution.
Hello Guys! Pretty new in airtable. I have 2 tables, on the first table I added a [Link to another record] field that follows a condition to only allow values that matches a value from my first table. I've succesfully done this in a way that it only allows me to pull the values that I want. Now my question is, is it possible to automatically pull in those values? whenever (1) New records are added to Table 1 & (2) New records are added to Table 2 (Because currently you need to manually select them)
Let’s say I want to assign the same item to two categories in a multiple select field. And I am grouping my view by that field. For instance maybe I am creating a list of vendors and what we buy from them, so for HP I want to select “computers” and “printers” from my multiple select field. For Xerox I would only select “printers”. I would now want my grouped view to look something like this: Computers HP Printers HP Xerox But instead what Air Table understandably does is this: Computers; Printers HP Printers Xerox Is there a way to create the grouping I want where HP would be listed twice, once under each category, as in my first example? Hopefully I’ve described my question in a way that makes sense. Thanks
Hi,I'm trying to import duration data from a CSV (e.g., "2:52:32" meaning 2 hours, 52 min, 32 sec). The Airtable Duration field is set up correctly (I think?) with the h:mm:ss time format selected. I want to keep it as a duration field so I can calculate sums, avgs, etc. When I import the data, the duration is not aligned correctly. For example, the original duration in the CSV is "23:51:52," but when it's imported, the duration is showing as "0:23."What can I do to correct this? Thank you so much.
Is there a way to format text such as bold, italic, list, etc.?The most I can seem to do is add a line break by pressing SHIFT+ENTER.
Hey all, not sure if this should go in the development section or not. But is there any way to remove the "Add Record" & "Add More" buttons from the bottom of the base screen?
We have a single Airtable group calendar for 15 staff members. When a staff member receives a calendar invite from a third party, when they accept, it adds it to a Googe Calendar. I know I could do a full integration but for several reasons, we do not want ALL entries to go to our Airtable calendar. We are looking for the easiest way to go to that Google calendar entry and "do something" to get it to populate into our Airtable Calendar. Thoughts?
I am trying to integrate Airtable with Jira, pulling data from Jira to Airtable. My issue is that I only see a few Jiar fields (Issue Key, Status, Assignee, Summary, Created Date, Due Date, Description, URL, Priority and Labels) when adding an Jiar cloud app in Airtable. But there are about 15 fields of Jiar task, I am wondering how can I pull all the fields from Jiar to Airtable?
I’d like to configure the fields shown on the record when I open that record from the Search extension. For example, I want to make sure a button and a few key fields appears at the top of the record and everything else is hidden. The goal is to speed up the process of searching, finding, and acting on information I haven’t found a way to explicitly say “open the record as if it were in this view” from Search, but the extension does seem to refer to one view in particular. Has anyone figured this out?
I am looking for a way to automatically backup key tables in our Airtable base to sheets or CSV files in Google Drive. I had a play with Zapier and with Airtable automations, but couldn't find a way to do it.I tried ProBackup, but it didn't successfully backup any of the tables.On2Air might be possible. But you need to pay $29.99 per month to get a weekly backup. Which is pricey for a charity.Has anyone else had success with this?
Whilst a fan of online apps and data, the paranoid in me wonders what I would do if your website goes down or gets compromised. Is there an easy way to backup my bases for local storage?
I know we can export data in .csv format but is there really no option in Airtable to basically download/export the whole DB?
