I gave access to a couple of people who are actually my clients to a database I designed for them.I want to know what is the exact charge for those licenses / users so I can charge them for those expenses.

I have a payment tracking table. It has fields that are Original Cost, Variable Cost, and Fields for each month(Jan - Dec): Formula Field). The original cost is linked from another table. If the user does not provide any value to Variable cost, The original cost value will be split into 12 months in respective fields for each month. Otherwise Variable cost value will be split for each month. But my requirement is User can add the cost for each month manually if the client has paid a different amount for each month So that we can calculate the balance amount for the rest of the month.

I just found all my personal info including social security number on a public link on airtablewtf is this site? I reached out to airtable’s customer service support I’m freaking livid  

Hello, I'm fairly new to the paid version of Airtable and I've been able to figure out most of the features and automations I need. I'm specifically wondering (especially with the updates that have come out) if there's a way to validate entries and form conditions. Example: students input their e-mail address in a form. If it does not meet the condition of having their .edu e-mail address, there's no way to reset the form or put an error message up. I have tried putting a conditional field that it must include the .edu student address portion, and I made it a "check box" format with an error message. Students do not seem to read this and submit the form with incorrect data or the form not even being filled out. Is there a way to not allow the submission if certain things are incorrect?Also with attachments, is there a way to condition that attachment to only accept certain types of files? 

My table tracks publication start and end dates for various websites, and I need to determine the time between the previous record's end date with the next record's start date.Examples:  Site A's publication will be taken down on May 31, and the new one will go up on June 1.  Site B's publication will be taken down on May 31, and the new one will go up on June 6.These require different processes ("turn this one off, wait some days, then turn the next one on" vs. "replace this one with the next one"), and I need to indicate which process should be followed.Each publication has its own record in the tableSite A / Start Date: May 1 / End Date: May 31Site A / Start Date: June 1 / End Date: June 30Site B / Start Date: May 6 / End Date: May 31Site B / Start Date: June 6 / End Date: June 30How can I check to see if the Site's records are "back-to-back" dates? I have a list of people linked to projects in my Airtable base and I’m attempting to have the slack messages from my automation tag the user associated with the record matching the conditions when the automation runs. I’ve tried inputting the slack id as a look-up from the roster table, I’ve made a formula that concatenates it into a string, I’ve tried it both as id (with <@ and > added in message text) and <@id> in the methods above, but none of this results in a proper tag. The only tag I’ve been able to make work is when I hard-code one into the automation message, but that obviously isn’t dynamic. Has anybody had success here? FWIW; whenever I try to include the field with the Slack id into the message, it doesn’t show up in Slack at all, so I know at some point it’s getting filtered out.

Why does a table that takes 2 seconds to load for me in N.America take upwards of 2 minutes to load for my colleague in Malaysia. Is this normal for whatever reasons related to Airtable infrastructure? or is there something on his side that might be a cause?  

Hey all! I’m a bit stuck here and hope that somebody might have an idea to share. Context: I have a table that lists a bunch of SaaS products that I use (such as Airtable!). Many of them have monthly recurring costs on the same date each month. What I’m ultimately trying to do is create an automation that reminds me the day before each subscription is renewed every month, but for the life of me can’t quite work it out. I think I need a date/time column that indicates the day of the month that each subscription gets renewed, and then I guess a formula that will trigger the automation 1 day prior to the renewal? Hopefully that makes sense… thanks in advance for anybody that can assist! :pray:

Hello,As projects come to a close, I want to review how successful my team was on staying on task and completing tasks by the deadline. My base is set up to flag overdue tasks, so I know in the moment when something is overdue and needs to get done ASAP. But I'd like to take a look at the project retroactively after all tasks in the project have been marked as complete and see how many of them were finished late.I can then investigate if I have projects that need adjustments or support (unrealistic deadlines, bandwidth issues, employee struggling, etc.).Any suggestions on how to do this quickly?

I’m working with a group that has users shared at the Workspace level but now what’s to remove them from the Workspace level and share them on individual bases. I was surprised to find that users who are shared at the Workspace level can’t be shared as the Base level. Trying to do so creates an alert message that says “this user is already shared on this base.” Is it possible to shift users from Workspace to Base level access without first removing them from the Workspace and then adding them to the Base?

Hello, I want to add a calendar to my website with the scheduled events, which the volunteers can then sign them self up for (or basically just put their name down or click attending) to the particular events they wish to participate in. Any info on how I could do this would be HUGELY appreciated. Or if there are any suggestions on a better solution to this issue. Thanks in advance!

I have created a Google Calendar integration for Airtable. However, the Google Calendar I created shows up in “Other Calendars” as apposed to “My Calendars”. This means I cannot choose “free/busy” in sharing permission in Google calendar. My hope is that people on my team could events in Airtable to block off time in their own calendar so other team members could see they are busy and not schedule meetings with them. Is there something I am missing? Is there a way to get access to the integrated calendar so that I can show as “Free/Busy”? Thanks!

Hello! I found a few other posts on this topic, but none that contained a solution, so trying again. I have created an operational calendar in Airtable, which I would like to sync with my organization’s Google Calendar. As far as I have found, there are two ways to do this: by creating a calendar in GCal from the Airtable URL, or by using Zapier. I’ve tested both methods and they both work well initially. But neither one seems to handle updates well. With the URL method, there can be a lag of up to 24 hours to show updates. With Zapier, you can only create a new calendar event when the Airtable record is updated, rather than updating the existing calendar event. Has anyone found a workaround or a better solution?

Hi I am building a simple CRM. I have a Company table and a contacts table. On the Contacts table there is a Checkbox marking a single contact as the “Primary contact” I’d like to show this specific contact when I view the Company, effectively “just the contact flagged as primary” Can’t figure it out, any help appreciated Thanks Mike

I am trying to create a scheduling tool in Airtable to book appointments with outside clients. I created a form that is linked to schedule availability and includes name, role, email, etc. At the bottom of the form, they can choose a date/time. Is there a way to include a location with the date/time?For example : some meeting slots are 30 min. but are either in-person or virtual as labeled in my table. However, the person filling out the form cannot see the options 'in-person, virtual, etc.' and I would like each day/time to be associated with its corresponding location (in-person, virtual, etc.)Is there a way to do this?

Probably a novice queston, but I am unable to entries in a grid view sorted after putting them in order manually; once I close and reopen the base, everything will default to alphabetical. When I switch the alphabetical sort on and off, it reverts back only partially; if I put things in a specific order manually, it won’t go back to the way I left it. Any advice on what I may be doing wrong, or how to work around this?

i have a zap with a Find Record step in Airtable. the step is set up to create the record if one is not found. for creating the record, i have text in a multi-select field that corresponds to one of the multi-select field options. however, when the zap actually creates the record, it adds both that option as well as a new blank option. i have double checked to make sure i don't have spaces before or after the option i entered. any ideas about how to prevent this from happening? thanks!!

Hi. I've taken over managing an airtable database and I can't get two tabs to talk to each other. I basically want the Link To Another Record space to populate when I link to that resource from another tab. It's working everywhere else on this table, just not on the tab I've recently created. I don't know what I'm doing wrong?

Anybody have a workaround to print out an Interface (physically or digitally as a pdf)? I have a Financial Dashboard that I would like to print and file at the end of each year.
