I love the ability to create a custom name to my conditional statement, however, it becomes difficult to debug when there is a problem because the Run History does not use the custom name. Please update the system to use the custom conditional name when looking at the Run History.

What is the proposed idea/solution? The proposed idea is to allow admin users of enterprise accounts to create dynamic sharing groups on Airtable based on the records in a particular view in a base. This would allow teams to share specific Airtable Base or views with specific people, without having to manually entering and deleting names in each Airtable group every time a new employee is added to the team or removed from the team. For example, HR could create a view of all the employees in Team A. Now there should also be an Airtable group created labelled 'Team A'. Also whenever there is addition or removal of employees in the team, the Airtable Group should be updated on its own. This makes the task of HR and the team leads easier. ... How does is solve the user problems? Dynamic sharing groups would solve a number of user problems, including: Reduced manual work: Currently, users have to manually create a new share for each record that they want to share. This can be time-consuming and error-prone. Dynamic sharing groups would eliminate the need for manual sharing, saving users time and effort. Improved data security: Dynamic sharing groups would allow users to share specific records with specific people, without having to share the entire base. This would improve data security by reducing the number of people who have access to sensitive data. Increased collaboration: Dynamic sharing groups would make it easier for users to collaborate on data. For example, a team of sales representatives could use dynamic sharing groups to share leads with each other, so that they can all work together to close deals. ... How was this validated? We brainstormed and came up with this idea based on the problems faced by the members in our team. There is no validation of this idea but could be a great addition to Airtable for many others. ... Who is the target audience? Specific to education institutes: Dynamic sharing groups would be a valuable feature for education institutes. For example, an education institute could use dynamic sharing groups to: Share student records with teachers and staff. Share class rosters with students and parents. Share assignment results with students and parents. Share school calendars with students, parents, and staff. Dynamic sharing groups would make it easier for education institutes to collaborate and share data, which would improve the overall learning experience for students. The target audience for dynamic sharing groups is any user who wants to share specific records with specific people. This includes: Salespeople: Salespeople can use dynamic sharing groups to share leads with their team members. Customer service representatives: Customer service representatives can use dynamic sharing groups to share customer records with their team members. Project managers: Project managers can use dynamic sharing groups to share project plans with their team members. Overall, dynamic sharing groups is a valuable feature that would solve a number of user problems. It is validated through user research and has a large target audience. I urge you to consider adding this feature to Airtable. ...

The product is called "Survey Redirect" and it is a custom Airtable field that allows users to create surveys and questionnaires within their Airtable bases. The form includes a new field type called "Redirect Field", which can be used to redirect users to different URLs based on their responses to a given question. Here's how it works: Create a new table in your Airtable base for your survey questions. Add a "Redirect Field" to your table, which will be used to redirect users based on their responses. When creating a new question, select the "Redirect Field" type and enter the possible responses along with their corresponding URLs. For example, if the question is "What is your favorite color?", the possible responses could be "Red", "Blue", or "Green", and the corresponding URLs could be "www.example.com/red", "www.example.com/blue", and "www.example.com/green". When someone fills out the survey, they will be redirected to the appropriate URL based on their response. This product idea could be useful for businesses and organizations that want to create customized surveys for their clients or customers, and need a way to redirect users based on their responses. For example, I have a project prospect form that it's only for new company's projects, if the project is alreay on going, I need to redirect the user to another form especific for additives or changes.

What is the proposed idea/solution? Hi. I think it is high time for airtable to enable sending an SMS text from the program rather than using Twilio or some other app interface. I played around with Twilio and it is not worth trying to keep it going when I simply want to send a text based on some conditions. I’m a pretty heavy user but my job is not to do airtable and interfaces and apps. My job is to use airtable to get stuff done. A simple and reliable way to send a text significantly helps me do my job. How does is solve the user problems? Texts have become second nature in our personal and professional lives. Airtable needs to allow us yo send an SMS text easily and reliably. How was this validated? Huh? Who is the target audience? Every user of Airtable.

What is the proposed idea/solution? When using the below code within a script, console.log(table.getView("Grid view")) The return object needs to include visible field Names and IDs from the target view. How does is solve the user problems? Currently, there is NO way to automate the return of visible field names/ids from views. View names must be hardcoded at script level, which is an utter pain. OR, the script author may simply start to return all fields within a table, which is a wasteful practice. Who is the target audience? Anyone who writes Scripts with the Scripting Extension or the Automation Script action.

It will be really great to have a simple automation that just copies the data from one field to another. As sometimes I just need the data in another format.

Passing multiple records into an automation by clicking on one button would enable a great deal of flexibility: Dynamically linking multiple records, especially in junction tables Passing information into one record that is taken from another record Conditional execution of automation actions based on multiple inputs Updating multiple records at the same time (eg. please edit both Record 1 and Record 5)

I tend to review my customers Automation History in batches. Once I review the run history, fix any errors or bugs and apply any Automation and Script enhancements, I'd then like the ability to "clear" the history. Not necessarily delete the history, but just hide or archive the history. This is the history of just one Automation, but I manage dozens, and having an ability to hide previously executed runs would be very useful.

Searching inside logs for troubleshooting or monitoring is just a nightmare and one execution by one How was this validated? What is the proposed idea/solution? Allow tabs ('\t') and newlines ('\n') in the prompt argument to input.textAsync. How does is solve the user problems? Multiline prompts would make longer prompts more readable. The following is, quite frankly, a mess: How was this validated? Tabs and newlines in the prompt string are not shown. The above mess is generated by the following code: const grps = ['Update Projects entry', 'Topic', 'Database', 'Results', 'Dev build', 'Initial meeting', 'Demo', 'Data sharing', 'Contouring', 'Model development', 'Interim analysis', 'Final analysis', 'Study proposal', 'Study protocol', 'Grant', 'Prospective data collection', 'CRA', 'REB', 'Abstract (will be published on its own)', 'Manuscript', 'Poster', 'Presentation', 'NDA', 'Privacy/security review', 'Cover letter'].sort();
var origPrompt = 'Record group to create. Choose a number.\n';
for(var i = 0; i < grps.length; ++i) {
origPrompt += (i + 1) + '.\t' + grps[i] + '\n';
}
origPrompt += 'Group number: '
await input.textAsync(origPrompt); Who is the target audience? Users who want more formatting options in scripts, especially for longer text prompts. - Note that this wouldn't be an issue if radio button inputs were supported.
