What is the proposed idea/solution? Formatting options for string output in Formula fields How does is solve the user problems? Formula fields offer useful formatting options for numbers that cause them to display as if they were certain datatypes like currency, or a specific format of date. Airtable essentially has two formatting options for text: "Single line text" and "Long text" (and long rich text but i'll ignore that for now) Currently it appears that interface elements such a 'List' treat formulas outputting strings as a Single line text. Formulas might output relatively lengthy textual information such as executive summaries of technical issues. If I could specify that the format of this string is 'Long text,' the three lines worth of wrapping in an extra tall List element -- like we already have for dedicated Long text fields -- would be very useful.

When clicking on a button to update a record's multi-select list, it appears that we are only able to specify an absolute list of options that the field will take on. It would be helpful if we could specify values to add or delete as well. I've attached screenshots showing the Tags field before I click the button, after I click the button, and what the button does. Seems to be there could be some options beyond 'Set Blah To Selected Records' (Records? Surely 'Options'?) We could have 'Add Selected Options to Blah' or 'Remove Selected Options from Blah' I know in my screenshots the multi-select fields are editable but maybe I don't want the user to be able to apply any tag at that point in the workflow. What is the proposed idea/solution? It would be lovely if data types like multi select lists would take advantage of Extra Tall row height by breaking the list of selected items over multiple lines. Even for single select items, I can't think of a reason that text inside shouldn't also break when necessary. The attached screenshot shows why i would like this feature. The 'Services' column is an example of a multi-select that could be broken up to take up the vertical space (there are three items, they should all be visible) and the 'Severity of Customer Impact' is an example of a single select field where I think the text could be broken while retaining the lozenge effect around it. This would allow me to make better use of space and include more data in the list and I think it would also look nicer. Thanks for your consideration. I'm loving the direction of Airtable these days.

What is the proposed idea/solution? Can the interface have a right-side "sticky" block that allows you to put additional editable fields in place. How does is solve the user problems? This would allow us to put in a few different reference items as we work down a page but most of all would be a great place to have record comments How was this validated? We have an issue with having to scroll back to a specific block area to take notes or make comments and ruins the flow of the interface Who is the target audience? Any interface user who has to reference a large page and use information from different areas while making notes.

Passing multiple records into an automation by clicking on one button would enable a great deal of flexibility: Dynamically linking multiple records, especially in junction tables Passing information into one record that is taken from another record Conditional execution of automation actions based on multiple inputs Updating multiple records at the same time (eg. please edit both Record 1 and Record 5)

Timeline view is great, especially with ability to split multipleselect/multiplecollaborators into separate groups/lanes. However the display of the actual record in the timeline view is really limited. Attachments as a cover image, akin to kanban, should show a cover image for the record. Instead it currently just shows the file name and link. In addition unless you are zoomed in ultra tight to the dates or your date range is very large, the majority of the details are lost/truncated in timeline view, making it impossible to use. Asana and others push the record details to right side of record when it does not fit in the record box in this view, which is a million times better. Would love this ability as a standard or a toggle option.

What is the proposed idea/solution? Being able to have users change the sorting in an AirTable grid hosted on an interface/ How does is solve the user problems? Some users may want to sort client names by last name, other first name, others by address or even date How was this validated? Simple Idea, I want to change a record in Interface via a button. My goal is to create a calendar with each month being a button. Clicking on that button would change the information on the dashboard just like a record picker.

What is the proposed idea/solution? A button or link to quickly download a CSV table of the data underlying a chart. How does this solve the user problems? The chart tools in Airtable are great. However, there are many times when charts need to be recreated in PowerPoint or another program (to customize formatting, to combine with information from outside Airtable, to add to professionally designed reports, etc.). As far as I know, this currently can only be done by manually creating a summary table in the other program – or, in some cases, by using formulas, automation, etc. in Airtable to create summary tables automatically. Both are time-consuming and prone to errors. If a user could instead just quickly download a summary table to paste into another program, it could greatly improve efficiency and accuracy. How was this validated? ... Who is the target audience? ...

In Interface designer, when I am configuring my record detail, I keep trying to re-order them the way I do in views by dragging and dropping in the list butwhen I click the row it pulls it off the list. Might be a change to make it not look like that fields option or to let you move fields in that way.
