It would be great if there was a way to sort the bases in a workspace alphabetically or by last modified. There would ideally still be the option to sort the bases manually. This would help tremendously when dealing with a workspace that has many bases. I know you can search for the name of a base, but I don’t always remember what I’ve named the bases. I can imagine the SORT option being included in the workspace dropdown:

This would enable ability to highlight/bring attention to specific comments in long text fields. This should be functional in both Data and Interface layers.

What is the proposed idea/solution? for better accessibility - please label the colours with text - when hovering over in the base design How does is solve the user problems? 1 in 12 men and 1 in 200 women have some form of colour blindness - or colour visual deficiency. This means that distinguishing many of the colours in airtable is difficult. Giving bases different colours is great as this is both a visual cue when you use multiple bases and interfaces - and in communicating with the teams that use them - however when some users aren't clear which colour is which (I am one and i develop tools heavily in the platform) it causes needless friction - for what should be a quick fix How was this validated? please see standard accessibility guidelines for using colours and ensuring those with sight problems can see the tools effectively. Who is the target audience? all users and all users with colour blindness - e.g. disabled providing greater accessibility.

What is the proposed idea/solution? Allow users to edit certain fields directly from the Kanban card without needing to open the card. Currently the only field that can be edited is the single select field that groups the cards (a user can drag and drop the card and edit that field). All other fields need to be edited by opening the record. This request is both for Views and Interfaces. How does is solve the user problems? For "Trello" minded users this is a must because they are used to making quick changes on a card without needing to leave the kanvan view. How was this validated? ... Who is the target audience? Kanvan / Trello minded users

It would be great if I could open an Airtable link in the Mac app instead of the web app. (I sometimes have different accounts logged in) If a redirect (open in Airtable) isn’t possible, I think a url bar, or some way to go directly to a base given its url/id would be great

It would be great if there was the option to select multiple elements in Page designer so you could move and format them all together, using a marquee tool or CTRL and click.

I have certain views with sensitive information and would like to have AirTable require me to log in again after a certain amount of time to view these (similar to the way that a bank automatically logs you out after 10 minutes with no activity.)
I would not even mind if the entire app logged me out after 10 minutes with no activity. I realize this might be inconvenient for some users, so perhaps it could be a setting.

For the card layout in the grid view, you can’t control which fields display or how much width they take up. I am working on an interface design where I have a long text field which gets cut off after a few words, one field that isn’t necessary to display, and a ton of white space which could be used to display more text. It would be very useful to be able to control the width of the fields and which fields are shown (like with kanban cards). This affects sharing a grid view with the card layout turned on, how linked records display in the full record view, and in the interface view.

Hello All, Hello Airtable. You have changed my life! You have allowed a small team that handles $20-100m in grant funds each year composed of 80-120 major projects to come out of the dark ages (excel and MS Access) and increase efficiency, decrease errors, and significantly increase job satisfaction and sustainable work stress. Everyone who uses it is happy, as are our trustees and decision makers. A state agency making this kind of change/improvement in such a short time (since Dec 2020) is a minor miracle. Thank you. But this morning I am dismayed to see a reversal of progress, in my opinion, in a very basic function: The table selector behavior. its now a search, instead of a select. Doh! I spent A LOT of time color coding , arranging and training to be able to get the entire team working within our 49 tables (each member uses maybe 4-6, but they all need to be there, with the first 15 being the most used). I cant get the table list to pull back up so here is a screenshot with just searching for “A”. As the developer, I cannot always recall what every table is called. I really need to have a way to view all tables in order and select from there. This is super critical basic behavior that existed yesterday, but not today. Search function? Awesome! But maybe have that as a top row ‘narrowing’ option (like the rest of Airtable does) instead of opening a blank box? Logic has it that most of us will have our main/most used tables in the first 3-6 tables, so why not show us those anyway? Instead of that fun/demoralizing sideways empty table. Poor thing… haha. Don’t get me wrong, I am happy to have new stuff rolling out. Gantt charts in views and calendaring, for example, are recent updates that have made a huge difference to us. As were View bins and favoriting. (related topic: Tabs now DO follow your click/selection, and the highlighted table appears at the top left when you are there. This was a previously submitted bug from me and appears to be fixed. YAY and thank you!!  ) And lastly, a shot of our base schema which is either a humble brag or a very nervous laugh/realization of how this monster has grown: Thanks!! Damon
