Far as I can tell, you can only link to specific files in Google Drive with the Attachment field type. While I could choose all the files individually, I would much rather just link to the directory because often times we share that directory with a client who will over time continue to add files to it during the lifetime of the project. So only attaching files would become outdated pretty quickly. Right now I’m just using the URL field type but it’s one more step for me to open drive in another tab and go find the directory and get the share URL. Just slows **bleep** down and isn’t very dynamic. I’ve seen this functionality in Samepage.io so I imagine it’s in the Google Drive API somewhere. Not to mention from within Gmail, you can attach a directory right there also to an email. Thanks

We use a Snowflake integration on an enterprise plan and would really like to have a more frequent automatic refresh time (every 3 hours ideally) other than the 6 hour refresh time. Our data in Snowflake updates roughly every hours so the 6 hour refresh defeats the functionality of getting the data we need quickly throughout the work day. The data sets we pull from are quite large so manually refreshing the data sometimes causes the integration to break if multiple API requests are made at the same time, so I would much rather use the automatic refresh feature than the manual option.

Security, sustainability, traceability and file management headaches would be significantly reduced if a file existed in one place, under a single corporate entity, with a single set of permissions and shared across SAAS integrations. It would be awesome if a file in Box could be published into an Airtable attachment field in an airtable record without copying it into the Airtable tenant and consuming storage. If a Box link were dragged into an Airtable attachment field and dropped, could Airtable interrogate the file permissions in Box to see if it is allowed? If so, present the thumbnail provided by Box as a preview. Click on the link, and it provides the Box preview as it does today and download capability. If the user's Box login could authenticate download, that would be amazing. Allowing the API to establish the link would be essential. Sustainability +++ Security +++ Ease of use +++

What is the proposed idea/solution? ...have an option that when your are syncing from one base to another you can select to sync vice versa so your isnt designating records twice. How does is solve the user problems? ...Reduces repetition especially on larger tables How was this validated? ...meeting with airtable liaisons with my company who confirmed this is not possible and only work arounds are available. Who is the target audience? ...Anyone syncing bases that need access to the base they are sending information too

What is the proposed idea/solution? ...when changing the name of a Field in a Synced Table, the updated name should also be Synced. This would likely require a feature, whereby a Synced Field and a local Field can have the same name without a conflict. This should not be a problem, because it's easy to determine what is synced field vs local due to the lightning bolt icon. How does is solve the user problems? ...without this feature, any changes to a Field Name are not propagated to other Synced Tables. This causes confusion. How was this validated? ...Try changing the field name of a Synced Table and find out! It's frustrating. Who is the target audience? ...all users who use Synced Tables.

What is the proposed idea/solution? ...The Sync Source field that is created when Syncing a Table is hyperlinked to the source, which when selected will open the Source in a new Browser Tab. How does is solve the user problems? ...In order to make modifications to a Sync Source, the User must go to the Table Drop Down > Update Sync Configuration to get a link to the Source Table. Who is the target audience? ...All Users who need to make modifications to a Sync Source

What is the proposed idea/solution? Add a way to filter the list of records that are no longer synched in a synched table where records remain after they are removed from the source. The current UI (attached screenshot) is basic and only filters for if the record is no longer available in the original. How does this solve the user problems? We need to keep an archive of records from a form where people link records coming from a synched listing that is updated quarterly. Only the current quarter is updated / linkable. As the table grows, I want to delete any records that are out of date (or unavailable) AND that don't have a form submission linked. By adding in more filter functions for this list I can accurately delete specific records and keep the ones I need for the archive. How was this validated? ? Who is the target audience? All users who need a system to be a point of operations and have a clear workflow for archiving.

What is the proposed idea/solution? The proposed idea is to allow admin users of enterprise accounts to create dynamic sharing groups on Airtable based on the records in a particular view in a base. This would allow teams to share specific Airtable Base or views with specific people, without having to manually entering and deleting names in each Airtable group every time a new employee is added to the team or removed from the team. For example, HR could create a view of all the employees in Team A. Now there should also be an Airtable group created labelled 'Team A'. Also whenever there is addition or removal of employees in the team, the Airtable Group should be updated on its own. This makes the task of HR and the team leads easier. ... How does is solve the user problems? Dynamic sharing groups would solve a number of user problems, including: Reduced manual work: Currently, users have to manually create a new share for each record that they want to share. This can be time-consuming and error-prone. Dynamic sharing groups would eliminate the need for manual sharing, saving users time and effort. Improved data security: Dynamic sharing groups would allow users to share specific records with specific people, without having to share the entire base. This would improve data security by reducing the number of people who have access to sensitive data. Increased collaboration: Dynamic sharing groups would make it easier for users to collaborate on data. For example, a team of sales representatives could use dynamic sharing groups to share leads with each other, so that they can all work together to close deals. ... How was this validated? We brainstormed and came up with this idea based on the problems faced by the members in our team. There is no validation of this idea but could be a great addition to Airtable for many others. ... Who is the target audience? Specific to education institutes: Dynamic sharing groups would be a valuable feature for education institutes. For example, an education institute could use dynamic sharing groups to: Share student records with teachers and staff. Share class rosters with students and parents. Share assignment results with students and parents. Share school calendars with students, parents, and staff. Dynamic sharing groups would make it easier for education institutes to collaborate and share data, which would improve the overall learning experience for students. The target audience for dynamic sharing groups is any user who wants to share specific records with specific people. This includes: Salespeople: Salespeople can use dynamic sharing groups to share leads with their team members. Customer service representatives: Customer service representatives can use dynamic sharing groups to share customer records with their team members. Project managers: Project managers can use dynamic sharing groups to share project plans with their team members. Overall, dynamic sharing groups is a valuable feature that would solve a number of user problems. It is validated through user research and has a large target audience. I urge you to consider adding this feature to Airtable. ...

I have been syncing tables into 1 table to combine projects into one view. I would like to be able to make updates to the records from the sync view. Can we have a feature we can tick a box on/off to lock/unlock the ability to change records from sync view?
