What is the proposed idea/solution? It would be very helpful if admin flag could be set via one of the following methods: - SAML attribute - SCIM attribute - mapping to a SCIM group How does is solve the user problems? Currently Admin flag needs to be managed manually in Airtable Admin Panel. This way we could automate admin (de)provisioning and easily link our approval process to it. Who is the target audience? Any company using SCIM to (de)provision users.

What is the proposed idea/solution? An extra Action for the Button Field inside a table (not in the interface), where we can select "Run an Automation" How does is solve the user problems? At the moment there is no direct way to run a simple automation from a button field. it only works on buttons in interfaces. How was this validated? The press of the button should also "pass" the record ID to the automation, so any automation ran can use the record ID to specifically work on a record. Who is the target audience? This is useful for everybody who wants to use the button field in day to day simple operations.

The ability to set defaults at levels higher than field: base, workspace, team, user or account level for time zones and date, number and currency formats. For accounts or workspaces where all users consistently work in the same locale that is not the US, it would save base builders a lot of work in setup, double-checking and troubleshooting, and avoid many mistakes caused by inconsistencies and discrepancies for the whole organization.

Our team really needs the ability to group fields together and visually display those groups, similar to adding an extra header row in Excel (example below). Benefits: Enhanced Visual Clarity: This feature will provide an improved visual understanding of the relationship between different fields, eliminating the need for users to check each field's description separately. Improved Organization: This feature will allow users to categorize and group related fields together, enhancing the data's structure and making it easier to navigate and understand. Personalization: By allowing users to change the color and title of the group, the feature adds a layer of personalization, making the data representation more intuitive and user-specific. Use Case Examples: Project Management: In a project management base, fields can be grouped together based on different project stages, team responsibilities, etc., enhancing the understanding of project flow and status. CRM: In a CRM base, fields can be grouped by customer details, interaction history, deal status, etc., providing a better overview of customer relationships. HR Management: In an HR base, fields can be grouped into "Applicant Details" and "Interview Status", making it easier to track the recruitment process. What is the proposed idea/solution? We would love it if we could automatically set all Bases in a workspace to a single, non-UTC default time zone. It may also be helpful for other users to be able to set individual Bases, or all fields in an individual Table. How does this solve the user problems? For users with many bases, that each have many tables, which each have many fields, it is tedious to fix time zone errors manually. Being able to set a global time zone option would dramatically speed up workflow for anyone who uses Calendar Views that port data in from several different Bases. Who is the target audience? Workspace management end users.

What is the proposed idea/solution? for better accessibility - please label the colours with text - when hovering over in the base design How does is solve the user problems? 1 in 12 men and 1 in 200 women have some form of colour blindness - or colour visual deficiency. This means that distinguishing many of the colours in airtable is difficult. Giving bases different colours is great as this is both a visual cue when you use multiple bases and interfaces - and in communicating with the teams that use them - however when some users aren't clear which colour is which (I am one and i develop tools heavily in the platform) it causes needless friction - for what should be a quick fix How was this validated? please see standard accessibility guidelines for using colours and ensuring those with sight problems can see the tools effectively. Who is the target audience? all users and all users with colour blindness - e.g. disabled providing greater accessibility.

What is the proposed idea/solution? It would be great to have the ability to set expirations dates on Automations. Past a designated date, the automation would turn "OFF", or become archived/deleted. How does is solve the user problems? If a user wants to setup an automation for, say, an attendance/signup email reminder to go out daily (to a list of emails records in a view that have not yet signed up for an event) until the day of the event. This would solve mismanagement of automations, as well as unnecessary/irrelevant messages being sent to anyone using messaging action integrations (email, outlook, slack, gmail, etc). How was this validated? Not sure what this prompt means(...?). I discovered the need for this feature as I came up with the need to "kill" an automated message prompt for users to sign up for an event—without having to "remember" to go turn it off. Who is the target audience? ...Anyone who needs to turn off an automation on a specific date, automatically.

What is the proposed idea/solution? ...when changing the name of a Field in a Synced Table, the updated name should also be Synced. This would likely require a feature, whereby a Synced Field and a local Field can have the same name without a conflict. This should not be a problem, because it's easy to determine what is synced field vs local due to the lightning bolt icon. How does is solve the user problems? ...without this feature, any changes to a Field Name are not propagated to other Synced Tables. This causes confusion. How was this validated? ...Try changing the field name of a Synced Table and find out! It's frustrating. Who is the target audience? ...all users who use Synced Tables.

What is the proposed idea/solution? ... A new feature that transposes the Rows and Columns of a View. How does is solve the user problems? ... It is useful to transpose the Rows and Columns of a Table for for viewing and / or calculations. In Airtable it is more efficient to create Records for time rather than Fields (e.g. each Row is a unit of Time like a Week, Month, Quarter, Year, etc. and not the column). The ability to see each unit of Time as a column moving from left to right is standard practice. How was this validated? ...This is a core feature to all spreadsheet applications.
