What is the proposed idea/solution? ...For a Table with one or more Synced Tables, allow the User to Add Records. Options include Adding Records to the Current Table OR selecting a Synced Table to Add Records (must pick one table). How does is solve the user problems? ...In order to Add Records to one or more Synced Tables, the User must navigate away from the current Base to the Synced Table to add the Record, then navigate back to the Synced Table. This is information is hard to find in the User Interface since it is burred in the Table Drop Down > Update Sync Configuration Dialogue Box. Who is the target audience? ...All Users of Synced Tables that would like to add New Records.

What is the proposed idea/solution? ...Allow the User to "Add Records From" a Table within the current base. How does is solve the user problems? ...In order to bring together data from multiple Tables, they each need to exist in separate Base outside of the current Base. Without this feature, the User must create multiple Bases in order to combine multiple Tables into one Table. Who is the target audience? ...Every user who Syncs multiple Tables or wants to combine multiple Tables into one.

What is the proposed idea/solution? ...Rather than having to manually type in the potential options for a Single Select or Multi-Select Field, the User can Sync a Table with standardized options. How does is solve the user problems? ...This would greatly speed up standardizing Single Select and Multi-Select options across many Tables and Bases. Who is the target audience? ...All Users of "Single Select" or "Multi-Select Fields" across multiple Tables and / or Bases

My team and I would love to work asynchronously on one airtable but when we leave each other comments on records the number stays there forever so we have no way of keeping track of what still needs to be discussed (you can erase your comments but not others and that way you erased the convo!). I’d like a way to get rid of the number shown on the record please.

Hi there When you have a workspace with a team you end up with lots of bases and there is no way to organize them into subspaces or folders. Would be nice.

What is the proposed idea/solution? In the shared view while viewing a workspace, we want to be able to see the base descriptions. How does is solve the user problems? Viewing base descriptions is easy for onboarding new members of our team and visualizing easily what base is used for what. How was this validated? ...with your team Who is the target audience? our team

I am really afraid of someone deleting my base. It would be great if bases could be password protected or backed up somewhere else.

Long-time fan…yet… this one thing has always perplexed me… Why can someone that ONLY has ‘view access’ to a base… can then go duplicate that entire base with all the records and then become the owner of it… all while having no audit trail of who did it. I don’t know about you but I put lots of time building my Airtables… building out custom workflows, app dashboards, syncing tables from other bases, in-depth field descriptions, specific views and putting accurate information in there to collaborate, communicate and grow with others. It is IP that an organization builds, putting countless hours into perfecting… yet anyone with ‘view’, ‘commenting’, ‘editing’ or ‘creator’ access can take that IP with no accountability. Basically, I would like to significantly reduce who has access to 'duplicate a base’ Only the 'Owner" access should be able to duplicate the base: not the creator, editor, comment or view access. Additionally add an audit trail to who duplicated the base. Maybe even giving specific users ‘this person can duplicate or not’ but I think the owner simplification would be more than sufficient. Without this option, it is such a security shortcoming that it limits the number of users I have using Airtable. And I want to tell everyone in the world about Airtable… Airtable has given me a way to organize my thoughts / systems that I didn’t know was possible. I love the origin and root behind open source programs but please let me have the option to make it open source or not. That is like someone having access to your CRM and with one button, can duplicate all customer records and how they all interact with each other. User Story As an account admin I would like control of who can duplicate our base and it’s contents. if someone can duplicate, I want a record of who did it and when. Resources I am aware of Duplicating Bases - No mention on how to avoid this Yes I know you can send over ‘views’ to people to mitigate this issue… you can send over forms so they can add records to it… grids / galleries with only the information they need to know. I desperately hope I am wrong and this indeed is actually a possible feature that I have missed. With appreciation and admiration for Airtable & it’s community, Paul

Background We have a backend base and have various interfaces for certain stakeholders. There are two collaboration issues I am running into 1) linking to a record and 2) commenting within a record. Linking to a record in an email automation. When a new ticket comes in an automation runs to send an email to the relevant stakeholder. One feature of the automation is to link to the "Airtable Record URL." If the stakeholder only has interface access, not base access, the link only brings them to the base, not the interface. Commenting within a record. When commenting in another user, who only has interface access, the user receives an email. When that user clicks the link in the email it goes to a black page. This should navigate them to their interface view and the comment should appear. What is the proposed idea/solution? Linking to a record in an email automation should bring users who only have interface access to the interface, not the base. Commenting in a user with interface access only, should bring them to the interface and not to a page where they request access to the base. How does is solve the user problems? This prompts them to request access and does not bring the stakeholder to the interface to view the record. Is there a way to link to the record within in the interface? How was this validated? We have tested and there does not seem to be a way to link to the record only within the interface and not the base. Who is the target audience? Those users who may only have interface access and not base access. Thank you. Eljay

I have certain views with sensitive information and would like to have AirTable require me to log in again after a certain amount of time to view these (similar to the way that a bank automatically logs you out after 10 minutes with no activity.)
I would not even mind if the entire app logged me out after 10 minutes with no activity. I realize this might be inconvenient for some users, so perhaps it could be a setting.
