It seems a recent change has been made so that when a person is in a base, and we select “Add Collaborators” it gives us the option to add to the Workspace or the Base. This has caused several people to mistakenly add people to a workspace instead of a base which can be a big problem if a company has private info within the workspace they don’t want people to see. It’s our request that you remove this feature. When inside the base itself no option should come up to add to workspace. This should be done from the workspace level only. Thank you,

I have a base that is shared with a larger team, but there are some views that I only want sub-groups to have access to. Right now, my only options are Collaborative View (anyone shared can see and edit), Personal View (only visible to me and editable by me), or Locked View (anyone shared can see, but no one else can configure). I’ve noticed that you can have field-level permission such that a group of specific users can edit and/or configure. I would like to have the same ability for Views. For example… View A - Full Collaborative View (15 people) View B - Visible and editable by only 3 people (12 people don’t have access to that view) View C - Visible and editable by a different set of 4 people (11 people don’t have access) Thanks, Eliza

Add role-based viewing permissions for tables, views, and fields. We already have permission editing ability for tables and fields in regard to who can edit or delete. It would be great to also have a permission of who can view the field or table. Additionally, I think it is just as important to extend all of the same permissions to views as well.

What is the proposed idea/solution? SMS 2FA is not secure: https://securityboulevard.com/2021/12/why-using-sms-authentication-for-2fa-is-not-secure/ https://www.cnet.com/news/privacy/do-you-use-sms-for-two-factor-authentication-heres-why-you-shouldnt/ https://www.zdnet.com/home-and-office/work-life/is-it-ok-to-use-text-messages-for-2-factor-authentication-ask-zdnet/ https://www.issms2fasecure.com/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B_o1C-uvge8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qWnadwlI5xA https://cybernews.com/security/why-you-should-stop-using-sms-for-two-factor-authentication/ https://www.forbes.com/sites/zakdoffman/2020/10/11/apple-iphone-imessage-and-android-messages-sms-passcode-security-update/?sh=762dfb812ede How does is solve the user problems? Makes them more secure. I assume AirTable doesn't want to be the next company that got hacked or that allowed its users to be hacked easily? How was this validated? This should be your number one priority. Who is the target audience? All existing and future AirTable users. Thank you!

Being able to organize “links” to bases in Google Drive is helpful, but not very useful in an enterprise or team setting unless Team Drives are supported. Right now, if I try to drag an Airtable base from the default “Airtable” folder in My Drive to a Team Drive, the error message “This type of file cannot be moved to a Team Drive yet” pops up. I know that Lucidcharts recently implemented Team Drive support for linked files, so it is possible. Thanks!

In our base, I have plenty of users who don’t utilize the Personal View setting, so our view list is getting cluttered with dozens and dozens of views that otherwise could be filtered out. Many views look like this but are public: " Basic View - Jordan"
I think a great suggestion would be one of the following:
Workspace Owners would have the right to make a view a personal view AND assign the views ownership to an individual.
Folders for Views to help keep views organized by teams that use them

It would be extremely useful to be able to “admin hide” some columns so they don’t appear to users below a certain permission level. With no-code programming there are times when you have to create “dev fields” that only facilitate the function of other fields. But when you expand a record, you can see them. This causes confusion within my organization. I understand this can somewhat be solved with Interfaces, which is still developing. But I have a very technical company and my team uses Airtable in a very technical way so they don’t particularly like using the interfaces yet. The “dev fields” you have to create can really confuse you anytime you have to expand a whole record. Cheers,

A good feature would be a simple alphabetical sort option on workspaces to organize the bases alphabetically. Am I missing that feature?

Current, if we have base read-only collaborators, the only way to view this list would be on the individual base. There is not a way to view an entire list of all read-only collaborators within the workspace. The workspace list will only show you the billable collaborators. However if you have lots of bases (what Airtable would want presumably) there is no way to view a report of who can view your bases. This is a potential security issue. For example, we had an employee leave, but they remained a read-only collaborator. Since we have no easy way to review all our bases, they remained on a base that was missed. It’s an administrative burden to go search each base. Please add some kind of additional reporting on this.

Hi, We create a lot of views in our Airtable to share with clients, but all these views have to be deleted after a while. It’s a long list of views, and manually deleting each one is a very long and inconvenient process. Instead of going through the whole views list, clicking a view, deleting it, and doing that over and over – isn’t there any way to do this in bulk, or just quicker? I’ve checked the API docs and find nothing on handling views, so I’m afraid I’m out of luck there too? Anyone got any ideas?
