I love the new views bar. I help a lot of folks with Airtable and this bar has made a big difference to them understanding their workflow and the system. I had no idea people were so upset by it, but know that it’s elegant, beautiful and helpful for NEW users.

Hi, Sorry if this has been asked before, if it has I don’t see it. It would be useful if I could have single select fields have coloured options in grid view but not in a form. Rationale: If I am running a survey where I would like to be able to spot certain selections easily or Red/Amber/Green answers in Grid View - I don’t want them to appear this way to the person inputting data on the form as to bias the results. Starting yesterday, Airtable rolled out a new sidebar in the left margin to display the views in our base. This is fine, but please stop auto-opening this sidebar by default. Every time we refresh our web browser or enter a base, this view sidebar auto-opens. It takes up a significant amount of screen real estate, and it is a real pain to continually be closing this new sidebar. Every time we enter a base, we have to close the view sidebar again. The vast majority of people aren’t continually switching views constantly throughout the day. For this to be ever-present and taking up a significant amount of screen real estate is not helpful. This should stay closed by default. p.s. The old view switcher was not difficult to find or use.

I have a Lenovo Yoga 2 tablet running Windows 10, I tried airtable on it and the scroll bars don’t work, can this be fixed ir is there a setting I need to tweak, be very very nice to have this working, Regards Andrew

Appears Airtable has changed the ability to retain standard or custom text colors for font in the Page Designer Block? WTF? Am I missing something or is standardization of font colors and retaining custom colors no longer an option?

In many different areas of Airtable, important fields have their information completely cut off. You can see this with calendar views, gallery views, kanban views, forms, and linked records. Below is an example of a cut-off linked record. What year is the linked record? Is the time of the linked record AM or PM? What makes this kind of absurd is that Airtable actually KNOWS that these are date & time fields, but Airtable itself doesn’t even give enough room for its own date & time fields to display properly.

Currently, the calendar will ONLY show us the “Primary Field” as the calendar event name. While this seems like this would work all the time, this is actually not the ideal situation in many different situations. Many times, our Primary Field is a formula field that we have chosen for very important database-specific reasons, but want to display ANOTHER field as the name of the event on the calendar itself. The Primary Field often has very little to do with the field name that we actually want to display on the calendar. Please give us the ability to choose whatever field we want as the title of our calendar event! Please — this is very important, and it is a basic feature of calendaring.

I have a feature request - to be able to have variable weight of font within a text box. This would allow me to have something like First Name: {First Name} Within the block. I use a mixture of static text and field variables and I would like to differentiate so the text flows nicely on the page and not have to move multiple pieces of information to make a page flow properly.
