When a cell has a large amount of text, it’s a pain to have to scroll down. It would be very useful to be able to resize the pop-up for individual fields, rather than having to scroll down to see the information due to the small size of the pop-up window.
I have some lengthy checklists that I’m keeping in a long text field, but not being able to see the whole checklist in one view (even though there is plenty of room on the screen) makes using Airtable for these checklists less than ideal. I’ve started managing them in Workflowy due to this limitation. I can’t see why Airtable wouldn’t let us resize the pop-ups for a better viewing experience.

I have a function pulling records by merging text from 2 other fields. Then I want to use this merged field as lookup function. I can’t because Function field can’t be Lookup field at the same time. (Yes there is a work-around by manually copying from Function cell to a staging cell that will become Lookup cell. Too much work copying every time data changes in Function cell. That means copying 100 times per day.

For some reason I cannot select the option “Unique” on the bottom summary menu when the column type is “Link to another record”. THere is only Empty, Filled, Percent Empty and Percent Filled. This should not be hard to add as the option is already there for other columns. It is very important to be present for these type of columns as well.

I would like the ability to control how many fields are visible on the record preview when embedded on a website. I use the “card view on desktop” option, and it shows the first 3-4 fields on the card. This can be confusing for users that think data is missing or incomplete. It would be helpful to be able to determine how many fields are visible in the record preview, before clicking to view the entire record.

Currently, you can preview many file formats in Airtable (PDF, CSV, XLS, DOC, major web-safe image file formats, etc), but text formats (like TXT, RTF, EML, etc) are just displayed as a generic icon. This makes it really difficult to store and share notes in our base.

I’m trying to manage my Roleplaying campaign in Airtable but would like to link specific records inside some of my long text formatted fields for instance “Dargon the warrior is traveling to Flurgan the village.” can “Dargon” and “Flurgan” be links to records?

Is there a way to sync our database of users with airtable so a form can autofill that information in like Google Forms does. This way a user doesn’t have to type in their email every-time and we can track our users better for reporting.
