In my team's usage of Airtable, we have a lot of different fields going through a lot of changes over time. On multiple occasions I've had to dig through a record's revision history, clicking Show more multiple times to get far enough to find the history that I need. In order to find a single field's history, I have to expand each of the history segments, then use ctrl+F to search the name of the field, and then click through each result to see the history I'm looking for. I would love a filter mechanism in the Revision history where users could select a specific field from their table, and the Revision history would be limited to showing only the changes made to that field. ... Google Sheets has a formula called Hyperlink. HYPERLINK(url, [link_label]) Example HYPERLINK(“http://www.google.com/”, “Google”) Where url is The full URL of the link location enclosed in quotation marks, or a reference to a cell containing such a URL. and link_label - [optional] is the text to display in the cell as the link, enclosed in quotation marks, or a reference to a cell containing such a label. It would be helpful if airtable could do this too. My use case: Zapier finds new google docs in a special folder and adds records to an airtable which includes TITLE and URL. I have a view of that table that is embedded on my internal google site so that all new content in that folder (medical protocols) are available to my staff. What is the proposed idea/solution? A feature that lets you group fields by context. As simple as that. Above is an extreme mvp, but i guess it should be something in that path. How does is solve the user problems? It would help creators manage fields when a table gets huge (in columns). It would be easier for anyone to better understand the table schema. How was this validated? I am using Airtable in my team with a lot of people getting to know the base and sometimes it is overwhelming for them to process every column in their minds. It is not visual and I had to do it outside to show them. I know it could be viewed as many 1:1 relations, so one could say "the user should create new tables". OK, but then there are some problems If the user needs to access those info in the table (for filters, calculations or interface designing, lets say) it would have to lookup these fields - the problem would still exist. When we have a lot of fields on a table and many views, it becomes labour-intensive to manage.  Often fields are related and we want to manage and display them as an ordered group in multiple views. An example might be the financial aspects of a product, where cost, price, sales volume, revenue, tax, and profit are related.  A mechanism to manage them as a group in views would be a major efficiency win, and also increase consistency as the group is always displayed in the same order and with no field missing. Colour coding of the group would also be valuable for visual identification. Retaining the ability to manage them individually in addition to managing in a group would be very nice. Often I'm needing to cycle the Autonumber field to cater for changes made to table data. We could really use a simple method to reset the number count for the Autonumber field. Currently, the only method is to change the field from Autonumber to either Text/Number field, and then change it back again into Autonumber, which then resets the count as desired - but is a pain. Please also consider other counting methods too, maybe a simple method that allows the user to adjust the base, be it Base 10, Base 16 (hex), and a simple alphanumeric, where select letters can be removed (such as the letter l and I, as not to be confused with 1, and Q and O to avoid mixups with 0.)   ... Webhooks for records would be really useful. I’m heavily caching Airtable data on my own server via the API, and if Airtable could notify my server when a record is updated, created, or destroyed, that would help me invalidate the cached data and re-request it. Ultimately that would mean less calls from my server to the Airtable API, which I imagine would please Airtable. Are webhooks on the roadmap at all? ... View more

There should be a place to submit, access and maintain verified databases that are useful across specific industries. For example, a base with all the current Members of U.S. Congress with fields like Name, State, District (etc); or a base with all Airports with their time zone, city and state.
