Hello, I love Airtable and can’t be thankful enough for the amazing product. However, I would be happy if some of the things were implemented. It feels very unorganized when you have multiple views. First, I think separator or some sort of grouping would make it much cleaner and easier to understand. Secondly, I think “Add a view” section is too big. It feels like it’s aimed for new users but it always draws me to create a new view even if I don’t need one. Most of the time we are interacting with pre-existing views rather than creating a new view. So, I don’t think it should be getting that much focus. Instead, the focus should be on pre-existing views. Something like this can be done as shown in the attached image. This also gives extra room for additional views. The options pops up when we click “Add a new view” button. The new users should easily get hang of it within the few minutes of using airtable. We use Links to show how deliverables (in one table) relate to open projects (in another table). As deliverables are completed, they can be hidden in the table view of Deliverables, but they remain visible in the Linked column in the Projects table. I feel like expanding which records are shown through Links would be a massive boon for anyone who wants to form more of a relationship between different tables. ... View more

Please include “countif” and “sumif” functionality on the roll-up field reference. The “if” criteria could either be written manually or even better you could have an additional dropdown where you tick the relevant data you want summed or counted. This would be incredibly useful. This is a minor request because this is really not a big deal at all, but: It would be kinda cool if the URL Preview Block gave us previews of normal websites as well. It’s not a problem for us to open up URL’s in new browser tabs, but if the URL Preview Block supported normal websites, it could save us a little bit of web browser clutter — because we could quickly see previews right from within Airtable. 🙂 ... I searched but did not find anything mentioning this particularly (if I missed it, apologies!). I love the ability to open a linked record from a different table, but finding the one you want when there are many choices is an annoyance. Example: a basic address book Table of companies with a companion Table of contacts. Each contact name field has been linked to a ‘contacts’ field in a specific company record. When the company table is viewed, the contacts listed in that field show in the order in which they were linked to each company record. Adding & linking a contact for new Joe Salesdude, bumps the person you talk to the most, Alice Viceprez, from the top of the list. Currently the only way (I have found) to control which contact record is foremost for any given company record with multiple contacts is to: open the contact desired to show first; unlink it; re-link it I realize this is likely due to the same issue holding up the requests for persistent sorting I saw mentioned while looking for an existing request on this, but wanted to add it to the pot. Hi! So have a question. We have a system where we are always putting money into Credit card numbers that are attached to certain bank account numbers. The way we have it set up is Accounts Credit Cards Flagged Accounts (Replacements for Cards) We label it as T-Cardnumber-Accountnumber; we have two cards for each account number. So T-1234-0000 & T-5678-0000 They both need 900 dollars in them at all times (so if they were both active it would be 1800) So if T-1234-000 needs to be replaced, we empty its “portion” out of the bank account (-900) What we do is we search via blocks to see if T-5678-000 is active (so it tells us if we need to leave 900 dollars in there to compensate for that one …say it got charged and there was only 1200 dollars in the account, so we would only take out 300) Confusing. Anyways, we wanted to use the “Blocks” search to find how many ACTIVE cards are linked to it. Thing is, we get replacements for the cards, and so on the “Cards” doc we will have like 5 or 6 cards that show the same account number (previous replacements). We have check marks for the accounts that were “Added to account” . Once they are added to the account we put the Credit card code on the accounts tab… How do I filter out the column “Added to Account” when searching in Blocks? Or is there a feature where once I check mark the “Added to Account” column I can archive it that entire row? ... View more

The specific use case I have is interactive content production where many different elements come together to create a single production. Every element like scripting, translation, voice-over etc has its own table and there seems to be no way to then bring all the elements together in one table to have a general view of where the project is (including filtering by person/status etc) ...
