What is the proposed idea/solution? It would be more robust, avoid more errors and dave time if form fields could be pre filled manually or dynamically. While designing a form, each field would offer a "manual" and a "dynamic" option just like in automations. Hiding (or locking) pre filled fields would also work from the interface so that the pre filled info is guaranteed to be included in the submission. How does is solve the user problems? At the moment we pre fill forms and hide fields through the suggested URL strings. In my testing of Airtable for use as a project management tool for my design firm, I have been very disappointed by the Notification options. It appears there are basically three events that trigger notifications: If someone @mentions you in the comments field. If you manually subscribe to notifications for a single record, you’ll receive notifications ONLY if/when someone comments. If a collaborator field is included in a table, you are notified when you are added to a record. I think that’s it. And that’s not nearly enough to be useful. Some basic notification features I would love: A. In addition to subscribing to updates on “comments”, I’d like to be able to manually subscribe/unsubscribe (both at the record and table level) to receive notifications of ANY changes/additions to ANY fields in a selected record (or selected table). B. If a user is selected in a collaborator field, he/she should receive notifications any time anything changes on that record. C. “Creators” should be notified any time structural changes are made to the Base (tables added/deleted, fields added/changed/deleted, etc). ... View more

This has been driving me crazy for years now. Airtable is incredible, and I use it for so many things, but it’s never been suitable for high-quality collaboration because the email/notification system is really feature poor. The way @mentions, collaborator fields, and instant notifications work, it’s a total inbox nightmare. I realise Automations are one way of changing how emails and notificaitons work, but they only add to the inbox pool, as you cannot disable or change notification settings on a base-by-base basis. What’s even more frustrating is how simple these would be to fix with a few base-wide settings. Disable ALL notifications except @mentions Disable “Watching” on records Disable “Auto-Watching” when a collaborator is assigned to a record Any variation of those would instantly fix these issues for a lot of threads I’ve seen with similar complaints. Someone called it a “boy who cries wolf” inbox situation. Another, probably more complicated fix, would be queueing email notifications in batches (like Trello). Instead sending an email anytime anything changes on a record instantly, maybe queue them for a couple minutes, or add the option, so you have some leeway on accidently sending someone an incorrect email on an incorrect record change. Hi, I have been working on creating a Marketing Calendar with Month, and a generic type as the columns and rows respectively using the ‘Matrix Block’ for my current project. However, I would also like to be able to print the block, but currently there is no option to print.
