Wufoo has a great option when making forms to have a checklist and rules to ask or remove further questions based on what checkboxes you selected previously (Field Rules.) That would be great if Airtable had the same options when making forms.

Many use cases for Airtable’s Scripting Block (and also for Custom Blocks) involve making requests to services running on another domain. Since scripts execute in the context of a web browser, such requests are restricted according to the Cross-Origin Resource Sharing (CORS) protocol. Users’ requests are frequently blocked for this reason. At the moment, the Scripting Block does not offer a solution for this problem nor does its documentation recognize the need. Some Airtable users have found a publicly-available service to meet their immediate needs, e.g. CORS policy error when trying to fetch API - No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header API calls to a NodeJS/Express application with no domain name This is undesirable for a number of reasons: users must discover the service on their own (This obstacle is particularly daunting for the entry-level programmers for whom the Scripting Block is designed. Even experienced developers can struggle with the complexity of CORS.) the reliability of the service is not guaranteed the trustworthiness of the service is unknown (The proxy has access to all the information intended for the destination service which frequently includes sensitive data like API keys and database contents.) If Airtable provided a CORS proxy, it would fill what some might argue is a hole in the capabilities of the Scripting Block. It could confidently educate users on how/why to use the service, guiding them away from unsafe practices and toward more resilient solutions.

Airtable have a loooot of potential for public informations sharing but is currently missing its opportunity. I would not pay for 1000 users as commenters but I would like to let 1000 users to give me their feedback on some records from a base in my Pro Plan. An easy way to do it would be to set “Commenter users” the same way as “Real-Only users”, not considered within the billing. Benefit for a company : Be able to gather a lot of feedbacks on multiples assets & data from the public Benefit for Airtable : More customers & visibility. Since I want to gather some information from a lot of Customer & Suppliers, I will want to invite them all as “Commenter” so they will learn about Airtable and because they will need to create an account they might try and buy. Per example : Share a Kanban Product roadmap and gather suggestions Share a Products Gallery view to gather feedbacks Share a video asset base with mass users to let them clic on a video record, watch it through dashboard (loom or video) and give me their feedback trough the record comment feature.

Airtable team, We have a relatively large team using Airtable across multiple departments. It would be awesome if the Collaborator field could be pared down to just the collaborators in a particular department. For instance, if we have a Collaborator field called Production, we would be able to only see the collaborators in the Production department. As it is, everyone from every department has to look through all the names to find there name. Thanks!

I often tweak a certain view just so, arranging columns just right and getting superfluous cruft out of the way and wish there was an easy way to apply that arrangement to other views, but there isn’t.
I expected the option in ‘Copy another View’s Configuration’ but didn’t find it.
Actually, the options that are offered to copy, I don’t think I have ever had a need for, but arranging and hiding I have wanted often, so I’d like to see those options added if possible!

Feature requests for Forms:
Default/hover (help) text in empty fields
Compact layout option
Multiple page option
Section collapse
Input table
Predefined options in drop-downs etc.
These would bring Airtable Forms on par with other providers, without the hassle of using Zapier connections.
What does everyone else think? Is there anything else you would like to see?

Is it possible to enter a date field with time enabled, but only have the time portion of it be visible? I need the date for calculations, but it will be self evident to the user so doesn’t need to be visible. Thanks!

Hello,
I’m wondering if you could provide an option to keep new fields hidden in all views except the one in which their added. I have a number of custom views in my tables. Currently, every time I add a new field to one view, I have to go through all of the other views and hide it.
