Date entry in date fields always require the date to be specified exactly. I’d like to see a possibility to enter dates relative to today, e.g. “Tomorrow” and “In 7 days” Today is Sep 7th, when I enter “Tomorrow” the date entered would be translated to “Sep 8th” and so on. ... View more

When creating a view, ‘filters’ and ‘grouped by’ field, are not always enough to get just the perfect overview of the information you want. One possibility to get around this issue, is to open different views in several windows, and stack them close to one another. But instead, it would be really useful to have ‘magnetic views’, where you can combine 2,3 or 4 views in one window. See attachments. Magnetic View . Current but not very ideal solution. Hi there - I live in the United States, but my industry uses Sunday as the week ending day, so we always distribute calendars that read Monday to Sunday. I saw in another thread that this problem was “solved” by simply updating your computer’s location settings. However, as I’m in the US, I do prefer that dates look like US dates throughout my system (month/date/year), so this is not really a good solution for me. I imagine I’m not the only one. I’d like to purchase the Pro plan for my team so that we can take advance of Airtable calendars, but we need to be able to set the start and end day of the week as an Airtable setting, not as a computer setting. I tried searching but didn’t see anything. This would tie into being able to edit a individual record. If the record has data tied to it in a sub table, it would be preferred to view that data in a table format in the individual record view. For example I am working on setting up a asset database. I note if you attach a password protected PDF to a base on both desktop and iOS if you try to access the file it asks for your password and opens. The same however is not true for docx files you need to download the file out of airtable then open it with the password. This raises 2 questions for me is there any way docx that are password protected can be opened within airtable. Secondly I have bases with pdf attachments is there any way I can password protect the files within airtable ie can I password protect a whole field or must I individually replace the pdf files with password protected ones? ... I am often in a position where I would like to compare data from two tables. Say for example, one table was my Estimations table, where I have many entries where I forecasted the result of something. In a separate table, I have my Records, where I recorded the results of entries. If I wanted to map those those table together, there is no way to do so. The only solution is to merge those two tables into one single table. This would be fine if the data was used in exactly the same way (all of it’s subsequent columns were doing the same things to the data), or the columns were simple, but this is not the case. I calculate different things on my Estimates than my Results. The solution for this would be permitting Multi-Table Charts, where I select: Table 1 X, Y, Grouping Table 2 X, Y, Grouping Or alternatively… X Value Table 1: COL, Table 2: COL Y Value Table 1: COL, Table 2: COL Grouping … This would allow for much more powerful data comparison, and would not require me to try to merge different data into one table for the sake of charting-only. ... Currently the FREE plan allows for unlimited commenting and read-only users. This same feature is not available on paid plans which is something I really can’t understand… It does make sense to charge per user who creates and edits data, but to charge the same “seat price” for people who may simply leave some feedback once a month really makes no sense and severly limits the use of AirTable to the point we are considering switching out. Its even more inconsistent with the fact that this is an unlimited feature on the FREE plan that gets removed on paid plans. And as far as I know commenting on paid plans has no advantages or added features at all… So why charge for something that was already free and penalize paying users?? ... View more

Hey Airtable, Was trying to use the timeline block for scheduling shooting days and despite being very promising for doing so, it was quite cumbersome to use for the following reasons. There is no button to fit the entire timeline in the view. Sometimes you lose your data, you scroll or zoom out … this is frustrating. A simple “fit content to view” button would be great ! In the same vein, a navigation thumbnail with a window highlighting the current viewed area would help too (above or below the window). Moreover, if we could have a customizable background grid to choose displaying the relevant units of time only: weeks, days, hours, minutes, … Thank you for considering these suggestions !
