Hi there: Part of how I use Airtable is as a CRM, and I am setting up a table that my staff can use to track customer interactions. We are interacting with hundreds of customers, and it’s very useful to be able to know which staff member was involved in previous communications with a customer. Just like there is a “created time” field type, it would be great to have a “created by” field type. Right now, forms allow you to add a new record. However, I wish for the possibility of editing a record via a form as well. It would probably require the first question to select the record in question using the primary field, then filling or editing the fields that are available as questions. I think this would be useful for many situations where you need users to interact with your base but you don’t want to provide actual base access. For example, if a table on your base consists of staff members and you need them to upload a relevant document. I would love the ability to reshuffle and group Automations. I often have 10-20+ automations in one Base and they are created at different times. It would be a great help if i could organize them in a chronological, or dependant, order as i add automations to the list. Currently if i create an automation that is the 2nd to trigger in the base but i created it months after the others that already exist, it sits at the bottom of the list and makes it very difficult to remember which Automation triggers in which sequence. With almost every table I build, I want to be able to group by year and month chronologically. However, most of the time I have a full date (with the day) on there as well. Hence, almost every table I build I have to create multiple extra columns to pull the year and month (both together and separately) in order to be able to have groups chronologically. This is to see what projects are happening in each month, how many items are sold each year, what tasks need to be done each month, what expenses happened each month, etc etc. And if I do a pretty format for the month and year (January 1, 2023) in one table, I still have to do another column that is YYYY-MM in order to use it as the group if I want it in chronological order, which is then not pretty (2023-1) for the group name. It would be great to be able to have something that is smart enough to give you options on grouping and sorting that is based on your date column’s YYYY-MM or YYYY-MM-DD (whatever you choose) equivalent so that these columns don’t need to be made every time. What is the proposed idea/solution? In interface page layouts, add the ability to collapse groups so that the header is visible but the fields nested beneath are not. An added bonus would be the ability to select whether a group is expanded or collapsed by default in the page template.... How does is solve the user problems? I have several interface page views that are quite long, and not all groups are applicable to all records. Allowing me to collapse the groups that are not relevant would make it easier for me to see and edit the most important information efficiently. How was this validated? This is generally accepted as useful functionality and exists in other places in the Airtable app. Google docs just recently added this functionality as well.  Who is the target audience? What is the proposed idea/solution? Allow individual rows to expand to fit long text (like "wrap text" in Google Sheets) or at least to fit MORE long text. How does is solve the user problems? Sometimes I want to skim my data (in my case customer emails), but I can't do so when I have to click into each individual record when long text fields get cut off (even when height is set to "Extra Tall").
