Hello, in my department we use Airtable for people to register when they want to attend any of our workshops. Is there a way to connect Airtable and Outlook and have some sort of automation where when someone registers for one of our workshops they automatically get a calendar invite on their outlook calendar about the event?

Hey @IzabelaZ,

You might want to go through this other topic/post were we discussed a very similar use case.
If that does not answer your question, or if you have follow up questions please make sure to reach out!

Also, feel free to grab a slot if that helps.

Completely different matter, but would love to have you join our Airtable Hackathon! Make sure to sign up!!

Yes, you have 2 different ways of having Airtable communicate with Outlook Calendar.

The more basic way is to use Airtable’s automation actions for Outlook Calendar.

The more advanced way — which gives you significantly more power & customization — is to use Make’s Outlook integrations in conjunction with Make’s Airtable integrations.

If you’ve never used Make before, I’ve assembled a bunch of Make training resources in this thread. For example, here is one of the ways that you could instantly trigger a Make automation from Airtable

Hope this helps!

Another option is to generate .ics files for your events and attach them to auto-response emails. This does involve a fairly simple Make integration, but could be handy. I detailed how to go about doing it in this explainer thread.

Thanks for all of that .ics information! That is very useful information! :)
