I have created a feedback form within one of my Airtable bases that is collecting data about different facilitators. I have set up multiple automation’s to funnel the information into a google sheet for the individual facilitator but when I test it seems that the data from the form is populating a row in the multiple google sheets at the same time. Automation steps: A new record is created (submission through the form) Find records - I have put in a condition for the automation to find records where it contains a particular name within the Facilitator Name field in the form. Append a new row in a Google Sheet - I have selected the spreadsheet for the specific individual. The row data is selected and working properly. Sends an email through Gmail to notify the individual that they have new feedback. Has anyone come upon this type of thing before? Am I missing a step?

I use Airtable forms where users book timeslots. When a record enters a view, I like to send the users a calender invite. This works fine when they book 5 events, but the 6th will fail because of the error “Calender usage limits exceeded”. I contacted Google, but they say I have not reached my quota (by far). Looking for a solution!

Hi everybody, I’d like to scan records for keywords and apply tags to them if a keyword is found. For example, if the record text is as follows: ‘My mom had a bad experience at this restaurant’, I want to be able to tag this record for containing the keyword ‘my mom’. I have a list of other keywords I’d like to do this for as well. This would save me a lot of time manually looking for each of those keywords with the filtering option in Airtable. Anybody have an idea of how I might accomplish this? Would love to hear from you!

We want to auto-populate the current date and time in a column when updating the multiple choice field in a separate column. Everything looks correct in the automation but it is still not functioning correctly. Real-use scenario: We have an Airtable for issue tracking. When the “Status” column is marked “Completed” we want the “Completion Date” column to auto-populate the current date and time. We ran a simple three step automation for this and it is not functioning. Anyone have an existing process we can use?

Hi, I’m new to Airtable and hoping for some help. Not sure how easy/difficult my scenario is to set up or achieve. I have one table with records of student applications and a linked field to another table with records of character references that the applicant supplied. What I would like to be able to do is automatically update the status field in the student applicant table based on whether their character references have been marked as returned/complete. Hi, I’ve been playing around with Airtable and Integromat via Webhooks, and I was wondering if there was a way for two Airtable bases to communicate via webhook and scripts. Here’s the use case: A webhook trigger is set up in Base 1 in an automation. A record is created in Base 2. This triggers an automation to run a script, which posts to the webhook URL from the trigger in Base 1. The automation in Base 1 is triggered by the incoming webhook, and updates a corresponding record. Hello. I am trying to configure a simple automation to add a row to an existing Google sheet when a new record is added to my Airtable base. I set up the trigger and tested, it works fine. I set up the action and tested, it also works fine and added the next line in the Google sheet. Then when I turn on the automation, and add a record in my AT, nothing happens. I am first only trying to sync one column to get it working before I add the rest. What could it be? Thanks

Hi, I’m doing an “Add New Record” automation. The new record needs a number in it’s Qty field from the QtyUsed field in the originating table. Both fields are decimal to 1.000 precision BUT the new record ends up with 1.000 (that’s one) from 10.000 (that’s ten) and 0.000 from 0.025 Other fields are added correctly Any clues please - see image attached

Hi! I’m trying to create an automation with “when a record is updated” to send an e-mail every time a new file is uploaded (or updated). We work with other partners who have access to the same base, the idea is when I update any of the files they get an e-mail to be aware. But the trigger is sending many e-mails at the same time! If I upload a file, they send the same e-mail 3 times (sometimes even 4 times)… I don’t know what is happening… If someone can help me!

Hello everybody : ) Im facing an issue with my gmail automation. Here’s how it looks like : Trigger : Record enter a view (i check a checkbox) Action : Send email with attachment of my invoice My invoice is generated automatically with zapier, zapier detects a record, creates a document from template with google docs, then upload the document (invoice) in PDF format (on airtable record). When i try my airtable automation, the PDF file attached to the mail looks like this. I’d like to point out that my automation doesn’t start before or at the same time as the pdf file is uploaded. Could this be an issue with google doc ? Or directly with airtable ? Can someone help me get through this :thinking:

I’m new to airtable. How can I use the Rest AIP with python to upload a pdf file? To my understanding, I need some sort of link for the upload. What do I have to look out for when programming the automation?

Hi there! I have an automation Where ‘Send Date’ is ‘Today’. It does not have a time field and currently sends at middnight. If it did have a Time Field, would it send at the time that is in that field, or would it still default to Midnight? I saw this solution, but I’m curious if adding a time resolves this.

Hi, I’m a new user here and trying to create a basic order creation and tracking system. I have a field called Clients and another called client orders as attached above. Basically every time a user enters client name in the order tracking form, I need to generate a new order id in the format of. CUSTOMERNAME/1 and so the next time his name is added on the client order list it generates CUSTOMERNAME/2. I created a field called Latest order Number in the Clients table to act as a counter. I was trying to figure out how to increment the counter corresponding to that client when that client name is selected in the Client Order page. I tried the automate feature on trigger, but it wont allow me to update a record in another table or apply any math formula on it. Is

I have 2 bases, one collects data from a form (Form DB) and one that I’d like to use as a master client database (Client DB) for individual companies we do business with. Since the form may be filled out multiple times by one company I’m trying to use an automation to review the Client DB when a form is submitted and if the company is not already there, to add it. Unfortunately companies are being added to the Client DB even though they are already on that list. The following is my set up. Are my conditions wrong? Is my understanding of how the sequence works incorrect? Despite having created a formula field to format my date, it is still sending this format to slack in automation message: 2021-07-31T10:00:00.000Z (which you can see in the screenshot is still the only selectable property in the automation wizard. The date format in my formula field displays correctly like Thursday, November 19, 2020 3:00 PM. What am I missing? My formula is configured as DATETIME_FORMAT(Start, ‘LLLL’)

Hello there Airtable experts :wave:t3: So the context for this use case is the following: There is a form on another app where an order is submitted and sent to a record in airtable. This form captures basic client stuff + plus the products which are inputed as # item numbers separated by comas in one cell. (1234, 2345, 1294) → What I want to do is to create múltiple records (one for each item) on another table. 1234 provider status 2344 provider status 1294 provider status Im guessing it would be a scripting solution, has anyone done something similar?

Hi, I’m trying to use an automated Update Record step to add a new linked record into an existing list of linked records. Unfortunately I’m finding that when the automation runs, it simply overwrites the field with the new record rather than adding the new record into the existing list. Is there some way for the automated Update Record step to append a record into an existing collection of linked records? Thanks very much.

Good Morning Everyone - I am trying to set up an automation with Slack but I cannot find out if my desired scenario is possible. I run an Artist Management company and what I want to do is when an offer comes in for one of my artists to automatically send the details of that offer entered into Airtable to the artists private slack channel. I know I can specify the artist channel in the slack automation but then I am restricted to that artist and that would mean setting up 150+ different automations to account for all artists. Is there a way for me to build the automation so that Airtable finds the private channel of the specific artist from the information in Airtable and then send it to that private channel? This would result in only 1 automation compared to 150+. Hopefully that all makes sense. Thank you!

Hello, I’m trying to have an automation with a find and replace step inside it. I’m just trying to fix a bug with connected fields when they have a coma so I need to remove the commas and copy paste into another field. And I can’t find a simple automated find and replace script (or write JS)? Is there a way to use a formula in the automations? For now I have a workaround where I have a formula field and then I copy paste that formula field to a connected field - but would love to just merge that into one process! Thanks

Hi, I’m trying to update a filed in Airtable that is a linked Field and allows multi record links. I’m using Integromat to try and do this but not sure how to format the text to update the record. The field contains names linked to a Participant table. I’ve tried passing with comma separated values but I think it needs to passed as an array. How should I format the names to register as individual records? Hope that makes sense Cheers

Hello, I am new to Airtable. I run a storage facility and am trying to use the product to automatically update availability status when an intake form is submitted by a new customer. So ideally they would fill out the form, include their unit number on the form, and then an automation would change the availability status for that unit to Occupied in the table. However, I’m not sure how to use the same form for multiple units/records or if it is possible. I’m wondering if I should create a unique form for each unit but that seems like a lot of work and may become hectic. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you.

Hello there, I have been trying to send all records by email on the scheduled date. This automation works fine, but I want to send a nice grouped view (grouped by 1 field).
