Good Morning Everyone - I am trying to set up an automation with Slack but I cannot find out if my desired scenario is possible. I run an Artist Management company and what I want to do is when an offer comes in for one of my artists to automatically send the details of that offer entered into Airtable to the artists private slack channel. I know I can specify the artist channel in the slack automation but then I am restricted to that artist and that would mean setting up 150+ different automations to account for all artists. Is there a way for me to build the automation so that Airtable finds the private channel of the specific artist from the information in Airtable and then send it to that private channel? This would result in only 1 automation compared to 150+. Hopefully that all makes sense. Thank you!

Hello, I’m trying to have an automation with a find and replace step inside it. I’m just trying to fix a bug with connected fields when they have a coma so I need to remove the commas and copy paste into another field. And I can’t find a simple automated find and replace script (or write JS)? Is there a way to use a formula in the automations? For now I have a workaround where I have a formula field and then I copy paste that formula field to a connected field - but would love to just merge that into one process! Thanks

Hi, I’m trying to update a filed in Airtable that is a linked Field and allows multi record links. I’m using Integromat to try and do this but not sure how to format the text to update the record. The field contains names linked to a Participant table. I’ve tried passing with comma separated values but I think it needs to passed as an array. How should I format the names to register as individual records? Hope that makes sense Cheers

Hello, I am new to Airtable. I run a storage facility and am trying to use the product to automatically update availability status when an intake form is submitted by a new customer. So ideally they would fill out the form, include their unit number on the form, and then an automation would change the availability status for that unit to Occupied in the table. However, I’m not sure how to use the same form for multiple units/records or if it is possible. I’m wondering if I should create a unique form for each unit but that seems like a lot of work and may become hectic. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you.

Hi everyone, I’m sure this is a common question but I didn’t find a neat solution. We send weekly emails using AT Automation triggered by a schedule. This searches for new project created over the last 7 days and sends an email with the HTML grid view. Occasionally there are no new projects and so it sends the email without any data. Is there a neat solution for this ? Cheers

Hi I have specific mails to be sent to all the records depending on what day it is and it has to go at a Specific Time. Eg If today is Monday, a Mail drafted for Monday should go to all the records exactly at 10 am. On Tuesday, mail drafted for Tuesday to go to all records exactly at say 4 pm. Basically everyday checklist based on which day it is. What did I do? I created a Day Field and added Sun, Mon, Tues… as value. Created separate automation with specific day mail body. Created a Trigger condition if Day Field changes to “Mon”, send a Monday Automation mail body to that particular record. Same way for each day created a Condition and Mail body. Manually, at 10 am for all the Records, I have to change the value of Day field to “Mon” so that it is fired at that time. Next day manually change value to “Tue” at 4 pm. Now, I need a solution to make it really automated. Either every

Hi guys! So, first time using the community part of this. I have an automation that notifies me when a certain document expires, so it basically just checks for an expiry date. However, I’ve run into the following issue: A document is set to expire on the 1st of August 2021 (01-08-2021). In the interim, and before it expires, I get said document updated, so that it now expires 1st of August 2022 (01-08-2022). While I’m editing the date of said document, the field that does the date-check then sees that I’ve changed it to a “01-”, and thereby thinks something has expired and then shoots out an e-mail via the automation. Has anyone encountered a similar issue, and did you find a solution for it?

I have connected and tested the SMS App from Airtable with my Twillio. That works. However, what I actually want do do is track the actual message I send by logging it in my messages table. Hi all. I’d like an automation so when two columns show specific criteria (e.g. KNOWN CLIENT and PRODUCTS) this creates an entry in a third column with “PRODUCTS NEWSLETTER”. I’d then like a further column showing when “PRODUCTS NEWSLETTER” was added (i.e. last modified). I need this as it’ll run a Zapier automation and input the customer data into Mailchimp. I had successfully created an AND formula but this didn’t seem to link to a ‘last modified’. I’m trying automation but I don’t understand the steps. Can anyone help? Thanks so much.

I am trying to group my line items by campaign but whenever I create a new campaign name, it automatically generates a new line item with just that campaign title in my empty/null cells section. If I try to delete that line item, the entire campaign gets deleted and my cells become ungrouped. For example, if I link my calls called “Apple”, “Blood”, and “Clifford” to a campaign called “Red”, they are grouped together but the system also generates a line item called “Red” that appears in the null cells box and it won’t let me delete it without it automatically deleting and ungrouping Apple, Clifford and Blood.

So, I need to print them on label sheets, but I don’t know how to do it (one QR code in x copy per sheet) Can you help me please? Which third-party tool to use (word, google docs or other)? I’ve been experimenting with the Airtable - Hootsuite automations. I’ve been able to schedule posts for Twitter and Facebook. I haven’t been able to schedule Pinterest pins. Has anyone been able to schedule a Pinterest Pin using Airtable’s Hootsuite integration? There doesn’t seem to be a way to specify the board a pin should be posted to. I’m guessing that’s why I am having trouble scheduling my pins. Thank you.

I don’t know how to officially request a feature, but I think it would be grand if I could move automations around in the list, rather than have them listed in the order they were created. This would make organizing long lists of automations much easier! While I’m at it, can we also get a “duplicate automation” button or a copy/paste? I often have to create several automations that are *slightly* different and being able to duplicate or copy/paste would save time.

I am building a somewhat advanced Base. Base functions “live” in Beta-mode. However, any tinkering with proposed changes is done on identical copy of this Base, the one in “Test Mode”. Question 1: is there an easy way to move/copy an automation from Test to Live ? Currently we resort to copying Automations “by hand”. Question 2: is there a way to convert a created Automation to Script? without writing out the script ?Then I would just copy/paste the script with minor edits

I created an automation to trigger when I change a Status in one of the field. I tested the with old mail id. It was working fine. I tested with my new official mail id. It was working fine. When I switched on the automation, out of 300 records, only 100 successfully triggered. Rest of it failed… I am getting this message in reason for failure. “This automation is no longer authorized to use the configured Gmail account. Please select a new Gmail account for this step.” I again Tested it with one record. Its working. Kindly help. Bala

I’m using Airtable to send personalised emails trough gmail with zapier. I used to fill one field with all the text of the email formatted in html. I was getting the field number from zapier options. It was looking like this : {{71809321__Name}} Zapier no longer give the option to get the number of a field, but only automated picking of a field. Do someone know who to get this code number ? I’m a newbie with coding. Thanks for your help. Dear Community, I am thrilled about the automations but I am banging my head against a wall when it comes to date feilds and I am hopeing you all can be of assistance. I have two Bases, one for Orders Details and one for Order Fullfilment. The Order Fulfillment base has a synced table pulling the orders in from Order Details. The Orders have delivery dates attached to them. Deliveries go out each day on one truck and there is data that I want to collect for each delivery date, so I have created a table in Order Fulfillment to list each Delivery and the primary field is Date. I then linked the Delivry table to the Orders table. I then tried to create Automations so that when a new record is created (or updated) in the Order table, the Delivery Date feild would automatically populate the Linked field to the Deliveries…thus either linking the Order to that date’s Delivery record or, creating a new Delivery record because there is not yet a Delivery record for that date. I have STARTTIME, DURATION,CALCULATEDENDTIME and ENDTIME fields. After entering values for STARTTIME and DURATION, the CALCULATEDENDTIME adds the two. My automation is setup to trigger when a value is entered into DURATION, and copy CALCULATEDENDTIME to ENDTIME . Here is the problem: automation does not read the complete data entry, just it’s first typed digit!!! The CALCULATEDENDTIME does the DATEADD with each digit I type- ONE DIGIT AT A TIME!!!, and automation thinks I’m done. Example-if my STARTTIME is 12:00 and DURATION is ‘60’ minutes: CALCULATEDENDTIME changes to 12:06 immediately upon typing the first digit of the DURATION (the ‘6’), the automation then triggers and assumes the CALCULATEDENDTIME is complete. I continue typing the DURATION (‘0’), but the trigger is already executed. Any suggestions to have it work with the complete entry?

Hi there, lots of updates have been done last year and i was wondering if it is currently possible to get a link or pdf of the Page Designer block into with every record now on mobile? Perhaps an automation which i can create on desktop which then would work when using the mobile app. Thank you.
