Hello all – I’m working on an airtable base which will run an application process for organizations. I have one table called “Organizations” which includes info about organizations (ones that have applied and ones that haven’t) and another table called “Applications” which feeds from a Typeform which applicants fill out. In simple terms here’s what I’d like to happen…check for matches, update matched records, create new record if there isn’t a match. Here’s what I want in more detail: Script runs and checks for matches between the Organization table and the Applications table. A match is a record in the Organization table with the same name as in the Application table. For records that match across both tables I’d like to update the Organization table to reflect that the matched organization has an application in the Applications table. (Can be a check box or linked record, doesn’t really matter) For records that don’t match I’d li

Hi Is it possible to edit the fields selected fields in the digest (ie add/remove) when creating an HTML Grid. All I seem to be able to do is start a new one which is a pain if I want to add extra fields. Also, as a seperate question, is it possible to copy/paste parts of one automation to another? Hi there We have a pro account and I have a simple approval for set up that when someone submits me an idea on a form, they can add their email address if they would like an emailed update as to the approval status of that idea. But, when I put that e-mail address in the “To” Field I just keep getting told the e-mail field is blank - despite me having made sure there are no blank fields on the table. Is this fixable or can the automation only send to a set email address and not one from the table itself? As stated, we have a pro account so it should not be the e-mail address itself that is causing the problem. Thanks Shaun

I have been digging around the forums for an answer to this, and wondering if someone can help me with a creative solution here or point me to a similar problem. I am trying to set out a work flow that is automated, and checked off when a new “Student Note” is submitted” So here is the flow: If “Services” = “1 qEEG”, the flow should be as follows: qEEG 1 Report1 ROF1 Finished If “services” = Pre & Post” or “4 Part” qEEG 1 Report1 ROF1 qEEG 2 Report2 ROF2 Finished So for example, if someone submits a “Student Note” as “qEEG 1”, I want the status to read “Report 1”. But if there is also a note that says “qEEG 2”, I want that to read “Report 2”. I am wondering if the solution lies in a Gantt chart (which is new to me) or if I should play with nested If statements, or both. Here is the base:

I’m working on building an automation in Airtable that alerts a specific Teams chat member that something has occurred. I’ve found MS documentation about using the tag to format a mention for a bot, but I can’t seem to get the mention to actually work in the automated message. Every combination I try just ends up as a plain text representation of what I put between the tag, but I know the automation can read tags properly because it’s properly formatting a hyperlink I’ve added to the message using <a href " "> I’ve tried (with and without the @ symbols included): <at>@ First Last</at> <at>@First Last</at> <at>@FirstLast</at> <at>@ FirstLast</at> <at>@emailaddress@domain.com</at> …and probably some other combinations of email address, the person’s name, and the @ symbol. Hi We have an Automation that sends a reminder email when a record enters a view which is done on a date basis. Is it possible to get these to come in at a specific time, say 10.00, rather than at 01.44 (we are based in the UK). As they get lost in other overnight emails when people come into work. So idealy the automation would check at a specifc time. Thanks in advance.

Hello all, I found the “Create child linked records” script and it does exactly what I need to do, but I want to trigger it from within an automation, and instead of entering the number of child records, pull that information in from the input.config() from the trigger of the automation. I have a parent table called “ListInfo” and a child table called “List”. The primary key of the of the parent table is a field called “ListName”. The child table has a linked field also called “ListName”. I would like this automation to create the “ListSize” number of child records in the child table each time a record in the parent table is created and meets the triggering conditions of the automation (the “ListName” is not empty, the “ListSize” is not empty and the record was created today) . My input variables for the automation are “parentRecord”

Is there any way to create an automation or something that would allow me to push a button in AirTable and it would change the content /value of another field? Example: Field 1 - Record title. Field 2 - Button called. e.g. “Reset Date” (button field) - this button would initiate change in Field 3 Field 3 - Date field (with a manually selected date) - This field date will be changed to “Now()” I want to refresh the date in Field 3 to “now”. But I want the Field 3 to remain a static field with manually selected date. I work with several clients and want to send automated messages to our team if it has been more than 5 days since the last point of contact. HI people, I work on a booking system for workout coach They have differents mensual subcriptions plans for 4 to 8 sessions I need to follow the number of session of each subscriber based on the plan they choose (up to 4 or 8) So i have 1 table to follow the mensual subcriptions And 1 table to follow the booking of the sessions. I think to follow the number of sessions booking by each subscribers, i created a 3rd table based on the mails using for the booking. For that I make a link to another record field of the booking session and a rollup to count each time the mail appear (in the same cell). When i add mail manualy in the link to another record cell it’s okay But i want to automat this action but I still can’t find to do this I tried Integromat and Airtable Script, that add data in the next line (cf: screenshot) Can you help me ?

Hello people, My goal is to use sweet airtable to store the data from my psychology experiment. I would like to create 5 table (Metrics, 1-4 experiment). Each experiment needs to contain a lot of fields. Data schema is -probe[i]-id -probe[i]-feature1 -probe[i]-feature2 -probe[i]-feature3 -probe[i]-feature4 Each experiment will have i === 192 which means I need to create 960 fields. I was searching for script to do it automatically, however I did not find per-defined one. I found this site (Airtable Blocks SDK), however I have not clue how to get is going (tried automation, apps). Im not sure, if the tool is not suitable for the task or my programming skills are not suitable for the tool. I would be grateful, once I will get advice how to overcome the problem. Cheers

Hello. I am trying to automate linking one record in one table to several records in another table. I have one table called ‘Payments’ and another called ‘Entries’. Each payment is for several entries. Once a record is created in Payments I need that to trigger an automation that first finds all the records in Entries associated with that payment (I have these as a list, separated by a comma, in a single line text field in the payment record) and then update those records to link them to the payment. Is this possible? So many thanks to anyone who can help!

Dear Experts need guidance for “at a scheduled time automation” while test run on signle record worked as expected with sending one email on trying to send reminder to 3 teammates - i created 3 records but only one email got created which is sum of all 3 records id and subject and body into one email for the time being 3 diff automation created with action -1 find record diff as team type identified but i am sure there will be simple alternate to send record wise email find record action 1 was earlier marked as track = [y] and now track=a or track =b or track = c is made up kindly share your experience and logics to overcome this multiple automation and each record to send its own email thanks

I have created a feedback form within one of my Airtable bases that is collecting data about different facilitators. I have set up multiple automation’s to funnel the information into a google sheet for the individual facilitator but when I test it seems that the data from the form is populating a row in the multiple google sheets at the same time. Automation steps: A new record is created (submission through the form) Find records - I have put in a condition for the automation to find records where it contains a particular name within the Facilitator Name field in the form. Append a new row in a Google Sheet - I have selected the spreadsheet for the specific individual. The row data is selected and working properly. Sends an email through Gmail to notify the individual that they have new feedback. Has anyone come upon this type of thing before? Am I missing a step?

I use Airtable forms where users book timeslots. When a record enters a view, I like to send the users a calender invite. This works fine when they book 5 events, but the 6th will fail because of the error “Calender usage limits exceeded”. I contacted Google, but they say I have not reached my quota (by far). Looking for a solution!

Hi everybody, I’d like to scan records for keywords and apply tags to them if a keyword is found. For example, if the record text is as follows: ‘My mom had a bad experience at this restaurant’, I want to be able to tag this record for containing the keyword ‘my mom’. I have a list of other keywords I’d like to do this for as well. This would save me a lot of time manually looking for each of those keywords with the filtering option in Airtable. Anybody have an idea of how I might accomplish this? Would love to hear from you!

We want to auto-populate the current date and time in a column when updating the multiple choice field in a separate column. Everything looks correct in the automation but it is still not functioning correctly. Real-use scenario: We have an Airtable for issue tracking. When the “Status” column is marked “Completed” we want the “Completion Date” column to auto-populate the current date and time. We ran a simple three step automation for this and it is not functioning. Anyone have an existing process we can use?

Hi, I’m new to Airtable and hoping for some help. Not sure how easy/difficult my scenario is to set up or achieve. I have one table with records of student applications and a linked field to another table with records of character references that the applicant supplied. What I would like to be able to do is automatically update the status field in the student applicant table based on whether their character references have been marked as returned/complete. Hi, I’ve been playing around with Airtable and Integromat via Webhooks, and I was wondering if there was a way for two Airtable bases to communicate via webhook and scripts. Here’s the use case: A webhook trigger is set up in Base 1 in an automation. A record is created in Base 2. This triggers an automation to run a script, which posts to the webhook URL from the trigger in Base 1. The automation in Base 1 is triggered by the incoming webhook, and updates a corresponding record. Hello. I am trying to configure a simple automation to add a row to an existing Google sheet when a new record is added to my Airtable base. I set up the trigger and tested, it works fine. I set up the action and tested, it also works fine and added the next line in the Google sheet. Then when I turn on the automation, and add a record in my AT, nothing happens. I am first only trying to sync one column to get it working before I add the rest. What could it be? Thanks

Hi, I’m doing an “Add New Record” automation. The new record needs a number in it’s Qty field from the QtyUsed field in the originating table. Both fields are decimal to 1.000 precision BUT the new record ends up with 1.000 (that’s one) from 10.000 (that’s ten) and 0.000 from 0.025 Other fields are added correctly Any clues please - see image attached

Hi! I’m trying to create an automation with “when a record is updated” to send an e-mail every time a new file is uploaded (or updated). We work with other partners who have access to the same base, the idea is when I update any of the files they get an e-mail to be aware. But the trigger is sending many e-mails at the same time! If I upload a file, they send the same e-mail 3 times (sometimes even 4 times)… I don’t know what is happening… If someone can help me!

Hello everybody : ) Im facing an issue with my gmail automation. Here’s how it looks like : Trigger : Record enter a view (i check a checkbox) Action : Send email with attachment of my invoice My invoice is generated automatically with zapier, zapier detects a record, creates a document from template with google docs, then upload the document (invoice) in PDF format (on airtable record). When i try my airtable automation, the PDF file attached to the mail looks like this. I’d like to point out that my automation doesn’t start before or at the same time as the pdf file is uploaded. Could this be an issue with google doc ? Or directly with airtable ? Can someone help me get through this :thinking:
