Hello,We wish to build few additional flexibilities in Kamille Parks' no-conflict appointment scheduler --> https://github.com/thekamillionaire/airtableScripts/blob/master/No-Conflict%20Appointment%20Scheduler.Could anyone help us with some light coding on top of the existing code as a consultant?
I am in search of an AirTable data expert who can help me calculate percentage increases over each month from different records. I have a social media agency and use AirTable to store all our monthly analytics numbers and would like to determine percentage changes. I am in the midst of taking these numbers into my table and using the interface featyre to create graphs to see it in a more user-friendly way. Please see here for a shared view of the table - https://airtable.com/appgifDfNJk8ia1a7/shrZ2KkZk6aMWcgGj Any and all help is appreciated. Please feel free to email me at cristina@thesocialhourmedia.com or comment below if interested in helping out. Thank you!
Hi,Able and willing to pay a consultant for this project:I help writing a few scripts for an airtable base for calculating percentiles within a data set, rather than just average or median - ie 25th and 75th percentile. I need these to be able to recalculate whenever the data is filtered. This is possible in excel with a formula, but not in Airtable. Secondly, I'd like to be able to integrate this percentile data into an interface - currently I am easily able to show median, average, total sum, total entries, etc. - so I'd like to add percentile calcs alongside these outputs. If you're able to help out here, that'd be awesome. And if you're good, there are numerous other paid projects that I will hire you for. Thanks,Tom
Hi there, I'm looking for a consultant who could help me connect some tables together (all on the same base). I'll describe the situation, and if you're able to do this, please pop me a message! I'm hoping this is the kind of task that won't take too long to link up if you know what you're doing. This is for my business and personal accounting: I have multiple tables for different currency transactions. Each table has a linked 'categories' column with the relevant category (fetched from another table in the base). So let's say we have the 'subscriptions' category. It will have records from multiple tables. From those records, I'd like to do the following: 1. Create a total tally for each category (yearly account balance sheet) 2. Create a monthly tally for each category (this is less important but it would be cool if I could see it in graph format. Happy to send a video explainer if you're willing to take this on!
Is there an option to only edit a record in expanded view only?I'm getting issues where people are accidentally editing a record by mistake and not knowing about it.I'd like for the main view to be in view/non edit mode only and only allow change in expanded view.
Almost certainly, because that's the rate for spreadsheet defects. Many studies have been conducted to gauge the reliability and accuracy of enterprises' spreadsheets. The data suggests most have defects. Spreadsheets that are designed and built using best practices don’t measure up either, as this study found.JPMorgan Chase lost more than $6 billion in its “London Whale” incident, in part due to Excel spreadsheet errors (including alleged copying and pasting of incorrect information from multiple spreadsheets). The vast majority of spreadsheets are built by no-codeists.What’s the likelihood that your company’s modern no-code systems are defect-free?If no-codeists built them, the odds are not in your favor.https://impertinent.substack.com/p/no-code-solution-defects-88
Hello, I had problems sharing a form. After creating it, I sent it to 4 people, including myself, who managed to open it on Safari. The second person, however, can't open it on Safari or on other browsers in general. The third person tried to open it on her PC but received a 404 error message, in her case I don't know which browser she was using. And the fourth person managed to open it on their Android phone. Can you help me to fix this ?
I often call out bone-headed moves by Airtable, but I want to assure everyone, that I actually like the product. I use it for personal and occasional business work, and I am a paid user who can attest that they do not provide support to simpleton users like me who regularly advise very successful companies. In this call-out, I’m looking at the hidden side of no/low-code SaaS platforms and how this particular vendor managed to create a support crisis and a pile of bad will. Note: This is the first article I’ve penned specifically about the hidden side of no/low-code economics. I’m an armchair economist and self-anointed No-Code Economist. I hope you like it and the many stories I’ve got queueing up for this new category in my Substack. If there are specific stories you’d like me to explore, drop a note in the comments or reach out anytime (bill.french@gmail.com). The realm of no/low-code has a lot of hidden aspects in terms of cost, performance, and adoption. I hope to explore

Greetings,Miracle Flights is a US based national charity that provides free flights to sick kids that need to travel for medical care. We recently built our Airtable database to enable us to help more families as we're providing over 600 flights each month across the country. Our previous Airtable team member just left the organization and we need help. Not a huge time commitment since we're up and running for the most part. We have monthly maintenance, troubleshooting, and exciting new projects to work on. Initially targeting 10-20 hours a week. Compensation will be based on experience and time commitment. Please email me at rsanchez@miracleflights.org or message here if interested. Thanks!
Hello! I have developed a projects database through AirTable. We want to develop an interactive US map that could display project data from AirTable when a point or polygon is clicked/selected. The projects are categorized by a handful of different types, so being able to filter projects based on type would also be helpful. I'm happy to discuss further if you might be interested. This is in the early phase and I'm trying to gather information for an accurate cost estimate. Thanks!

How often have you experienced the dread when a near-perfect no-code solution stops working?Application sustainability is critical for developers, especially those with no/low-code technology solutions. One factor that can significantly compromise the sustainability of cloud service platforms is the absence of point-in-time production snapshots. If you've worked with no/low-code platforms, this is a huge problem that has a relatively simple remedy.Point-in-time production snapshots are simply an application's code and sometimes certain data that are frozen (in time) and made available for sustained production use. A snapshot provides an exact copy of an application's environment, including its dependencies, configuration, and data. This means developers can easily recreate an application's environment, even if the original environment has moved forward and changed significantly.Point-in-time production snapshots are essential for application sustainability. Without them, developers who
Amazon’s new AWS AppFabric offers a smart and seemingly free way to connect software-as-a-service (SaaS) applications, but it may also be the ideal way to free customers from no-code integration platforms with high switching costs. If the switching cost moat evaporates, how will the no-code integration glue factories keep you as customers?No-code and low-code application builders who have unwittingly become glue-sniffing addicts of code-less integration face massive switching costs. Moving from Zapier to Make or custom integrations is a lot of work. AI removes the switching cost friction - soon, it won’t matter. If you can switch to an integration layer that is free (or near-free) by simply describing in your native language what the integration needs to do, would you stay with Make? Zapier? Whatever?
Hot off the heels of this week’s exciting API auth and documentation updates, I’m excited to show and tell you about a Raycast extension that uses the new OAuth and metadata endpoints. First - What’s Raycast? Raycast is an extendable alternative to Apple’s Spotlight. The new Airtable Raycast extension allows a user to browse the bases, tables, fields, and views they granted the application access to (a part of the Airtable OAuth flow). A GIF of the basic functionality is below and you can follow this link to the Raycast extension store to learn more and install the extension. The extension is open source at https://github.com/Airtable-Labs/raycast-extension and https://github.com/raycast/extensions/tree/main/extensions/airtable Let me know if you have any questions or suggestions. I think there’s a lot that could be improved and would love to hear your ideas too! Special thanks to @SeanKeenan and other teammates for their help! – And lastly, an obligatory legal disclaimer since this i
Hey everyone, I spent some time in the last couple weeks to upgrade my personal habit builder to include some latest features. Just learnt that the progress bar is supported natively. It looks so good! 🤩The habit builder includes:goal gallery: with goal templates, calculated progress (I'm so glad that progress bar is now supported as a native feature. This looks so good!) and status reporting all at glance. Built in automations to auto populate weekly log and reminding off track goals.current week: quick access to log progress, feelings and notes for goals.activity overview: list of goals and activities, with filter, sort, search and moreinsights: analytics on goals and deepdive into activitiesIt uses some of the more advanced Airtable features including formula, rollups, progress bar, interface, automation. The habit builder is particularly beneficial when your goal is to carry out a task daily and steadily advance over time. Check out https://plannerhq.gumroad.com/l/habitbuilde

Hi All. More bad news on the Pro to Teams transition. Normally on the Pro plan we had access to a color palette for single and multiple select that gave us 40 different colors. On the new bases we create today we are choked back down to just 10, telling me to upgrade if I want more colours. This despite the fact that all the pages advertising for "Teams" state that it should still be 40. (See attached screenshot). I've already watched my storage space cut in half and now the colors are reduced by 75 percent? What's going on?
(Updated this post to make the directions more clear and highlight a few caveats)The lack of folders inside workspaces has driven me a bit mad, as I have dozens of bases I'd like to group and organize my own way. This is my workaround using Google Drive. You'll end up with a synced table (preferably in a standalone base) that will function as an index of every base in your Airtable account, which you can group & sort however you please with the use of added fields, and from which you can click into any base. BEFORE YOU STARTYou and anyone that plan to use this index will need to be signed into a Google account and (obviously) an Airtable account from a web browser. The index can be viewed from the Airtable desktop app but will only open new bases in a web browser. (Annoying if you prefer the desktop app.)This workaround is best suited for those working solo or with a small team on non-Enterprise plans. Maintenance can be cumbersome if you're indexing bases across many workspac
