Could you add a "open in browser new tab" button in the context menu on left click on a table "tab"?

Allow user to increase or decrease text size for entire base or just for column headers. Checkbox columns waste so much screen space unless I keep the header of the column to 2-3 letters.

WOuld love to be able to add conditional groups in find records to make better find records.Combining "and" and "or" conditions like I can do in a view would help in the find records automationI dont wnat to have to rely on a view in the automation Thanks,

It's quite annoying when you need to need to add another variable to a script, but it only lets you append to the end. They are always presented in a consistent order, so it's a bit of an artificial limitation that one cannot change this presentation.Say I have thesegroupNamegroupNumberthingNamethingTime...and I want to add groupCoordinator, it becomes disorganised. Long input lists are worse because you may have related inputs that don't even show on the same page (it only fits ~4 at a time, for me). A button/link to sort by name would also be helpful.To work around it, I have to add an extra input slot, then edit existing variables from the bottom up to create an adjacent space. Tokens in values cannot be dragged & dropped, nor cut & pasted, which can introduce errors.It just doesn't make sense to have an ordered list where the order is immutable.

It’d be really useful if there was an option to bulk update field permissions. I have a growing base with a growing number of users, where I need to set editor/read only access at the field level for each user. The base has several hundred fields in so this is quite time consuming. An option to select a user, and the tick each of fields they can edit would be very helpful!

A capability that could be extremely relevant for many use cases (i.e., CRM, Project Management, and others) would be the record ID reference in enriched long-text.  Golden does this in a very elegant way (see: https://golden.com/wiki/Microsoft-6GKP), where the description of Microsoft is then linked to another record with structured data. I imagine a functionality in enriched text that allows you to mention in text for a different record in the same (or different) airtable base. A clear example is a reference call where you mention that during this reference call, the name of a different company popped up. So the text reads something like:"During the call with a prospective client, the name of record_id:xyx came up. Additionally, record_id:zzy was highly recommended. ".In this case, the record_id:xyx also tracks information on when it was mentioned independently. As well as record_id:zzy both linking to the same reference. 

What is the proposed idea/solution?Allow us to select a timezone for datetime fields that only show a date.How does this solve the user problems?There is currenly a disconnect between Interface date filters (ie. filter Where {Date Field} is Today) which will filter based on a local timezone, but inside the base, the date-only field is GMT. So, the interface will filter based on local timezone, but records in the base will be GMT-based dates, and will be filtered out, even if the date is the same as the local timezone.How was this validated?By beating my head into the brick-wall that is Date-based filtersWho is the target audience?Anyone who uses the filter based on 'Today'.

I know that Airtable is designed to be like the friendly and convenient corner store, not like an Amazon distribution center that uses metal detectors and employs armed security guards. I love that about Airtable. But the inability to shut the doors to this convenience store is, for me and my clients, a deal-breaking problem. I wish that any (or all) of the following were possible: Creator should have option to hide the share button for all non-creator users. If creators aren’t given ability to decide who can share/not share the base, then at least read-only users should NOT have the ability to share. When I think “read only”, I don’t think “read and make a copy for all your friends and let them make copies for all their friends…”. Finally, it needs to be possible to restrict users to using what they’ve been given. To this end, should be a privileges level just below Editors called perhaps “End Users”. End Users should be allowed to edit data in records but NOT edit locked views. That

Is there a way when linking Record A to Record B that Record B can automatically be linked back to Record A?

It would be helpful if we were able to duplicate an entire dashboard and also be able to share only the dashboard with others - today if we share the link to a dashboard the person only see it if we give them the access, at least as read-only to the entire base.

What is the proposed idea/solution?The ability to group sets of fields together for hiding/unhiding, moving around etc. How does it solve the user problems?it makes it easier to determine and see which fields are applicable in which views. Making changes to views is easier to track in large bases with many fields where not all fields are applicable for every record. How was this validated?Logic? Who is the target audience?Everyone. 

We cannot color by lookup fields. Even if “Allow linking to multiple records” is disabled on the Record Linker, the option to select Single Select Lookup fields is disabled in the record coloring menu. This makes no sense, and is a real hamper on operations that make use of Airtables Sync feature to integrate multiple bases with each other.I understand that the option is probably disabled because lookup fields are arrays, but there is absolutely no reason it should be disabled when the linker field is restricted to only allow the linking of one item. This is an oversight that forces users to spend a huge amount of time drafting custom color rulesets.

1. It doesn't seem to me that we need more words to describe this feature, but any of us can add some words.2. I'm not suggesting an idea, but a feature available in other software.It feels stupid to not do what we've done for years with other software: link a field to any number of records from any number of tables (without copying ("synchronising") any table to another box).3. I don't want to use this software for these conversations, but AirTable.

The collaborator field is great. Is there any plan to allow dynamic filtering based on this column? E.g. when collaborator contains [me]? Use case: I’ve got a team issues register using SharePoint. The default view shows the user only those records where their name (based on authenticated user account) is contained in a collaborator column. I’d like to transition to Airtable, but would need to give users a “My Items” view where they can see only records which contain them as a collaborator, without the user being required to apply a filter themselves.

Background:It has been raised a couple times before (here, here, here, here and here) but it is still not implemented. Feature request: Ability to specifiy a default value for date fields. We have default values for single line text field and number field, it is reasonable to ask for the same feature for date fields. Ideally let us put a formula there, such as: CREATED_TIME() DATEADD(TODAY(), 2, ‘week’)

It would be great to be able to hide some tables from all user levels except for the Creator.Use Case:We use AirTable to track sales and generate orders. Most users are Editors and only need to see the main sales tables which hold the full sales records.We have a lot of tables which hold data for things like accessories and consumables. These are pulled into the main sales tables via lookup. Editors don’t ever need to see these tables.The base looks very cluttered and confusing to new Editors as they see lots of tabs (tables) at the top.Only the Creator(s) need to see or edit the contents of the accessories and consumables tables.

Is there any way to use link fields for kanban stacks. It appears that only single select fields can be used, but I would like to use a grouping field that is a lookup to another table. As a simple example, I have a location field, which is a lookup field to another table, defining locations. I would like to use that as the grouping field in a kanban view. It looks as though the only option I have currently is to duplicate the field with a single select field, and then find a way to keep both in sync? Many thanks for any help Neil

Hi, It would be very usefull to have an option to group Kanban stacks by a lookup field from another table or a link field, when the multi-select option for linking to the table is turned off. I believe this should satisfy the requirement that each item on the Kanban can appear in only one stack, but also allow stacks based on lookups or links from other tables. Example : Table Employees linked to a Table Companies It would be very convenient to get a Kanban view or the Employees stacked by Company Thanks #kanban-view

We use Confluence regularly and can embed AT views into our pages. However, we would like to do the same with our interfaces as it makes digesting content easier. Do you think this can be a feature in 2024? 

I love the default behavior of multiple select fields, which colorizes the items. Because I work with more complex linked fields instead, i’d love the option to colorize linked fields items similarly to multiple select fields. Best from Berlin
