Hi, We have the form embedded into our website, and we have public applicants applying via airtable. However, because we’re not able to limit the attachment size nor the number of files, we’re getting overloaded with applicants who upload a lot of huge files. We have to manually delete them. Despite having clear instructions on the form for limited files size, type, and #, applicants don’t care sometimes. It would be amazing if we could put a feature that can put limitations on the # of files, size, type per entry. Ryan

Is there a way to see sums of Number Fields in the IOS App (They appear at the bottom of the column in the web App)?

Would like the ability to past a screen shot into the attachments field. Use case: If I am tracking visual changes to design project I can easily paste in a visual reference for the change.

I get it… Nobody uses Internet Explorer (I’m a Chrome user myself). However, our entire organization defaults to Internet Explorer through Outlook so all the people I try to on-board to our Airtable database get confused when they try to confirm emails, setup their account, etc. Please add enough support for Internet Explorer users to use Airtable on a read-only basis at the very least.

I need leading zeros for the Number field for shot lists for video. Leading zeros “1” would be written as “01” or “001”. This is useful for ordering files by name, inventory SKU’s, etc.

When a cell has a large amount of text, it’s a pain to have to scroll down. It would be very useful to be able to resize the pop-up for individual fields, rather than having to scroll down to see the information due to the small size of the pop-up window. I have some lengthy checklists that I’m keeping in a long text field, but not being able to see the whole checklist in one view (even though there is plenty of room on the screen) makes using Airtable for these checklists less than ideal. I’ve started managing them in Workflowy due to this limitation. I can’t see why Airtable wouldn’t let us resize the pop-ups for a better viewing experience.

It would be great to have a “self linking” type system for larger bases to help users Navigate. In this use case there would be a table that links to all the specific views that a department would use, but currently this workflow opens up new windows.

Using Interfaces, when you bring in a record it will only show a few details in the “card” view, regardless of how wide it is. You should be able to modify the width of each of of those similar to how you can change the width of columns in the normal base so you can view more information at a glance in a view like this.In this example, there is a lot more info we would want to see, but it only shows the first few pieces of data, in this case Order, Year of Release, and Artist

I paid for the pro version specifically for this feature and the fact that it wastes my prospects time by saying “you will be redirected in a few seconds to xyz url” makes this feature almost redundant because I don’t want people dropping off before they’re tagged on the next page with my facebook/google tracking pixels so I will have to use another software like typeform or jotform just because of this…

A simple idea: what if linked records could be colored?The conditions in the linked table would determine the color of the record.This would help counteract one of the many conundrums of having to choose between linked records and multi / single select fields. What do you think?

Oftentimes my automations that include a scripting step don’t fail but also it don’t behave the way I want or expect.I want to be able to search/filter the run history of an automation based on the primary field of the record that caused the problem.That way I can find the run log and troubleshoot the issue via console logs I included in my scripting step. 🙂

Howdy! I frequently run into instances where I need two or more sets of iterations within the same table base. Primarily for my work, this comes down to different process counts, line items, shipment number, or invoice count. I have found a way to work around this for linked records, where an automation can take the result of a rolled up count field of the primary linked record and add that to a number field as an “Iteration”. However, our organization can only have so many automations within a month, and multiplying that for every single process will be cumbersome to implement and a pain if we run out of automations.I would love to see the options for the “Auto-number” field type tie to a specific other field and another option to iterate continuously or scale to the total number of tied records. An example of the continuous iteration would be a single select for a process type, which should iterate even if one of the records was deleted, while an example of the scaling proce

It feels like the Grouping functionality in Airtable is limited in its usefulness. Grouping records by a given field makes some of my tables “Visually” more structured, however, the rollup field type could benefit from having some additional formulas that can logically recognize a grouping of records. There are analytical functions available already, where you can select, AVG, SUM, and MAX, etc for a particular grouping, but no way to access the result of these values in formulas. What would be great is if there was some way I could label/identify a particular group of records and access aggregate data from these groupings somehow. Currently any fields that are hidden on a form will be empty when the form is submitted. It would be nice to be able to set hidden form fields to a default value.For example, let’s say I have a “wizards” table:Name | House | LevelHarry P | Gryffindor | 1Ron W | Gryffindor | 1And I have a wizard form that asks for Name and House, but Level is hidden.I would like all form submissions to automatically enter 1 for the level. I do NOT want this field shown or to use the prefill_ method because that would let people set their own level—and we all know that Malfoy kid would set it to 5 or something inappropriate.At the moment, the only way I can do this is to use an external form system and an integration like Zapier which lets me set the default when mapping to Airtable.

Hello! We have a total view of run Automation in the Usage section of the Billing page. But it’s for all table, and all automation together. I would really like it to be more specific. To my need, I would like it to be shown in the Automation tab, for each automation. The number of runs executed so far for the period. It would allow us to monitor which automation are consuming most of the limit as well as seeing if some automation are running more than expected, etc, etc. The total for each table should also been available for the same reason! The limit is pretty low, it would be very useful to see where it is spent! Thank you 🙂

Okay, I’m going to make this ask as simple as possible:Give us the ability to define a new Airtable formula function called UUID()The output of UUID() remains STATIC and anchored solely to the RECORD_ID() value.This means the ONLY time UUID() values change IF and ONLY IF the RECORD_ID() value changes.As a byproduct of this, whenever you duplicate a given record/row, that duplicated record/row’s UUID WILL BE DIFFERENT than the source/original record/row.

It would be great to be able to duplicate automations once they have been built. I have a use case where I’m moving records from one table to one of two identical tables depending on what filter they fit into. I built the first automation, only to realize I had to completely redo the exact same work for the second destination.
