Being able to have a calculated field with a min or max from all records (functions actually available only in the summary bar) could increase possibilities to work with Airtable. What do you think ? Regards

I could be wrong but whenever I print a record (using the built in print record feature), it does not appear automatically add the current date to the header or footer and also lacks page numbers. The print record feature based on view is incredibly helpful and does not require the manual creation of a print layout using the new blocks feature (which seems great but also labor intensive to start). Having said that, our records are updated regularly and it would be nice to be able to reference printed records and to determine what date they were printed - as well as page numbers for when they go on multiple pages? - This would just be a great version management tool. Thoughts?

I’d like to be able to visualize the connections between entries of different sheets in a base as linked nodes. For example, in the User Studies & Feedback sample base, I’d like to visualize all “People” as nodes, and have them visually linked to the relevant “Studies” and “Feedback Session” nodes. This would likely have the ability to turn off certain relationships or categories or else it would get quite cluttered. My thinking behind this is to be able to visually see all at once, for example in the User Studies case, what feedback sessions lead to each feature request, and which people were involved in that session.

Dear Team, is it possible to protect the attachments added to a table with a password? I just noticed when I was logged off from Airtable It was still possible to open attachment in my base knowing the Airtable attachment Url? Or may be I am also wrong and made a false to my settings??

Currently when you add a lookup field for a date the new field will have the formatting options of local format and GMT time zone. This is confusing when the original field is set to be local timezone. It can appear that the wrong date is being shown. A better default seems like it would copy the formatting options of the field being looked up, but that these could be changed. This could lead to some confusing edge cases (what happens when you later change the formatting of the original? Probably the new lookup remains unchanged). This would have saved me some confusion.

Think something like the word processor you can use to compose emails in Gmail. It’s simple but really powerful. With bolding and bullet points, this would allow me to create more organized looking notes within Airtable.

When I create a shared view calendar, it creates a read-only calendar. But when our outsource personnel clicks on items on calendar, it just shows everything on the view no matter how filtered they are. I just leaked the most precious data to our competitor. The calendar was made from a view that was already filtered for sensitive data, but the calendar just shows it all. This cannot be a simple feature request, but it’s a serious security bug, I think. Any thoughts?

It is a wasting of time to select linked record in a field one by one. For example if I want to pick attendance from a table of students I have to click ADD in the form and I can only select ONE linked record and then click again (!) ADD and select the second student, etc. Please let select more record (with checkboxes near the record, or with selection color, etc.) AND THEN click on a button (“DONE”).

We are loving Calendar view! Any plans to be able to view by week and year as well as by month?

I’d like to use a form to enter data into multiple tables as discussed here: https://community.airtable.com/t/form-edit-multiple-tables/5454/4 (separately discussed, I’d also need to enter data into multiple records as discussed here: Multiple Record Entry Forms) This would allow me to enter parts on a quote where my quote table contains top-level information (Account, Contact, Quote Date, Etc…) and then on another table to load line-item data (part or service #1 at price X with quantity Y, part or service # 2 at price Y at price A with quantity B…). I could really use the ability to create conditional rollups. Yes, I could make additional columns with IF statements, but there are way too many rollups I need to use that as a solution.

hey i have set up the timeline block to visualize starting-expire date for leasing contracts. although it looks very nice visually, when i moved the by accident the visualized bar of the duration, it changed of course the corresponding records, but i couldn’t UNDO. i am not sure if this is a bug, but currently i disabled this block to prevent accidental changes

Why Airtable don’t build Roadmap ,Gantt, Milestone ?

Keeping an eye on Notion.so. Tables have been added and while not as robust as Airtable currently, it is a one stop app for Notes, Tasks, Projects, and Tables. I post this only to say it has offline mode abilities but they are limited. Airtable, please add an offline mode soon.

Would it be possible to make a field type that would update with the last update of the Revision History? It would be awesome for us to track exactly where projects/comments are in real-time just by looking at our overview sheet. Is there a way to currently do this? If not, is there any chance that this could be added in a future release? paco

I love the feature “Send Record” that allows you to send specific records to a person. However, it’s a bit annoying to have to type in a persons email address every single time even when you are emailing a collaborator on the base. I’d like to request that you can start to type an @ and the person’s name for any collaborates on the base, and it will auto fill the email, just like it emails the collaborator when you @ them in a comment. I know you can’t do anything about people not as collaborators, but this step would be so useful and seems like it would be a super simple change on your end since you already have the @ feature! @Katherine_Duh Please consider :slightly_smiling_face:

I have a table of account numbers with the account number as the primary field and I created a view that groups by the account number. I’m trying to detect duplicate account numbers and ideally I would like to be able to filter the grouped account numbers where the count is greater than one. Being able to sort by the count would be another option. If I could sort by the count in descending order, then the duplicate account numbers would be at the top of the list. This same functionality would be great for other columns besides the grouped by columns that can be aggregated.

Something I’ve run across a few times now: If I am looking to batch update a field in a section of records it is helpful to group them, but… If those records are grouped by the field I wish to update, which they sometimes are, we are not able to array an update made to that grouped field, as it collapses the record before we can array the update. The only way around is to un-group the cells, which is no so convenient if that grouping is the driver for the update… Group on / Group Off / ad-inf Here is a visual, hopefully it helps: In this image I have just updated record 86 - Field 5 with a record link (Multiuse Tools…) that I would like to array to fields 87-91. I cannot however perform that array because it has already collapsed and the record into the new grouping and relocated to record 1089. I love the collapsed record HUD, I think that’s a a brill

Now that Blocks are out of beta, I’d love to suggest an alternate palette. We’d kill to have a “Dark Mode”, a la Klipfolio or Numerics, for full-screen display on a 4K TV. Related, we’d love the ability to get HTML embed code per block, again in two UI skins, one “Dark”. This would allow us to use native Airtable design within other dashboard platforms (so long as they support embeds). Thank you! A.

I’d like to suggest a new Block that displays Form contents, in the same format in which the Forms are submitted–what the submitter sees. Ideally, with an optional plain-text or minimal-formatting mode, allowing us easy copy/paste of creative briefs.

It would be great to be able to reorder images. I want to be sure the front image of an item is always used as the thumbnail in the gallery view. :grinning_face_with_big_eyes: Update: this is possible in the iOS app, but not the web app.

Problem: If a user has beyond a handful of images in an Attachment cell it’s difficult to reorder them in the current two-column heavily visually UX. Solution: Provide or more condensed list view option when the cell is expanded. See my attached mock for a rough idea.

I would love if there was a way to put the hex code or RGB for a colour into a cell and have the cell display that colour. I frequently use Airtable for design and product purposes, and this would be an extremely helpful feature for that.

Hi, In light of the EU GDPR coming into effect, is it possible to permanently delete a single record? From doing some research my understanding is that there will always be a revision history and snapshots stored for some time that will include the data that needs to be deleted. Would be great to be able to have the option to permanently delete a record.

Hello. I think it would be a nice visual aesthetic to be able to look at a clean form when in the Expanded View mode, without having to see the side column with all of the history. I know I can turn off the history, per say. But the column is still in view. Perhaps when clicking to turn the history feature OFF, the side column can also be removed visually from the detailed form page. This corresponds to my full Desktop and Website versions. Another way around this, I guess, would simply be to include an option for fully customizable forms views. Both for viewing and printing. Thank you.
