I would like the user to be able to drag the edge of the Side Sheet in the interface to expand them slightly. I could use the full-screen page style, but I do like being able to see the records in the background for quick access to them.Not sure what the limitations of implementing this are. But it is something I instinctively try to reach for every time I open up the side sheet, only to realise the functionality isn't there haha

Currently, Calendar interface users can collapse weekends by switching a setting in the timescale:My suggestion is to have this setting available to creators, enabling them to change the default interface setting:As you can see, currently this is not possible.

What is the proposed idea/solution?When you add a button to an interface who's action is "Update Record", you can select a user field and set the value to the dynamic data of "Current User", allow for things like a button to approve a record.  You can also set the value of other field types, like a date/datetime.  However, there is no equivalent option to set it to the current time.  Should allow that as it can record the time a button is pressed. How does is solve the user problems?Makes approval workflow examples, or any other update triggered by a button press, more robust by automatically recording the time it was triggered. How was this validated?Created a button on a form interface, set to update record, added a date field and you can only set a fixed datetime value not a dynamic one like "Current date/time"Who is the target audience?Anyone using the new forms interface to build record review/approval workflows.

While it seems Airtable is a desktop-built application, many customers/clients use mobile. A fair limitation to using Airtable for our business is the ability for our prospects to use the Sort/Filter features for an embedded view on mobile. They simply can’t interact with the data unless they are at a PC…

We are trying to use Airtable to depict information with restriction on copying data and it doesn’t make sense for us to have the print view option. How do I disable it?

What is the proposed idea/solution?When using a linked record and pulling over a single select field by using a lookup, it would be very useful to be able to color records with it. At the moment, it doesn't give you that option.For example, let's imagine there's a table for TASKS and another for USERS.A linked field would be used to assign a user to a given task.Now if we go into a timeline view, perhaps it would be useful to color the tasks based on the user it was assigned to. It would be intuitive to have a single select from the USERS table to color them. This could be pulled over via a lookup field then be used, but at the moment this isn't supported.How does is solve the user problems?It makes it easier to color and visualize the data within different views.It also prevents doing goofy workarounds in order to achieve this.Who is the target audience?Anybody using Airtable who use colors to visualize their data.

Can you please add comment functionality in functions? This would be a big help when understanding previous peoples work!!

I understand that Airtable is an incredibly complex application and making all of it meet WCAG standards for accessibility is a long/difficult process. As an educational institution, we are mostly limited by the SHARE and FORM options within Airtable. If there was a way to share gallery/table views and forms that were accessible it would quadruple our possible business use cases for Airtable. If we could post Airtable forms or shared views on our public websites it would significantly increase its usefulness. Without that, we can only use Airtable as a backend organizational tool for a small number of users. I realize there are workarounds for this with other applications but each application purchase includes an extensive budget, IT, and accessibility review, and adding additional tools just to make our outputs from Airtable accessible is a huge pain.

What is the proposed idea/solution?It would be very helpful if admin flag could be set via one of the following methods:- SAML attribute- SCIM attribute- mapping to a SCIM groupHow does is solve the user problems?Currently Admin flag needs to be managed manually in Airtable Admin Panel. This way we could automate admin (de)provisioning and easily link our approval process to it.Who is the target audience?Any company using SCIM to (de)provision users.

I’m lovin’ Airtable, but, in grid view, I’m not thrilled with those little icons that appear beside very field name to indicate what type of field it is. Most are text fields, so it looks as if I have fields named “A First Name” and “A City”. I’d like a configuration switch to switch them off.

What is the proposed idea/solution?It would be very useful to be able to select multiple records in timeline view. This would allow you to move multiple bookings at once, in the case of needing to adjust all bookings in a week/two week period by one day. A common scheduling requirement. How does is solve the user problems?Because otherwise you have to move bookings one day at a time, which is very time consuming.How was this validated?...Who is the target audience?Anyone handling complicated bookings or task management. 

It would be very helpful to have a configuration that sets the default mode of adding a NEW record within a Grid View to be the Expanded Record view. Viewing data within a Grid View is awesome, but adding a new record inline within a grid view is not helpful.  When entering many new fields, it's a better user experience to enter within an Expanded Record view.  As it stands today, one must click the "Add Record" button and then click the "Expand Record" arrow to get to this view.  This is not a good user experience.Allow the view to have a configuration that sets the mode in which new records are presented - either inline grid or expanded.

I’d love it if we could add custom base colors. I use Airtable primarily for content calendars and share these with my clients. This feature would help me differentiate bases and also add a nice touch for “branding” the base to the clients brand guidelines.

This would make everything a lot easier.What i have in mind is that when creating an automation based on an interface, you would be able to access all data displayed in the interface, not just the record the Automation is connected to.

So happy that someone finally filled the void left by Dabble DB. One of the features I found most useful there, but can’t seem to do in Airtable, is linking to entries in another Base. Often, one will have multiple bases which handle distinct aspects of a business or project, but in which one piece of data overlaps. Example: A political campaign may want Bases for contacting voters, managing events, and recording donations. Those are distinct domains which need their own Bases, but which could benefit from linking parts of them together. For example, it would be great to link donations to the event they occurred at, or voters to donations, or record who attended each event. In Airtable at present one has to either cram all of those bases into one, or foregoe the linkage which makes this software so great. It may seem like a small thing, but once you can link bases, the sky is really the limit.

When adding a linked records table in page designer, please give the ability to “Horizontal Align” each of the columns separately. I would like the price columns to be right justified, description to be left justified, and everything else centered.

Increasing the number of automations in a base was awesome! They doubled, which saved me from having to find other solutions. I’m VERY thankful for that.Increasing storage based on plan would be an incredible next step. The pricing structure versus what you get for storage has a huge disparity.Free plans get twoPlus gets fivePro gets twentyAnd enterprise gets one thousand.Pro is in need of a horsepower upgrade - we use Airtable enough to need enterprise, but its price is a cliff. What is the proposed idea/solution?I propose to add a way to organize tables by groups as MS Access does.Currently tables in a base are organized by tabs in a row on the top. I understand that this would be against the Excel-like feeling, where the workbook is organized in sheets, which are actually tabs. But I think MS Access way to organize the tables in groups is much better.This feature would get bases much more organized. For example I would create the following organization for my tables:1) Entities groups. In each of these groups, I would put just the entities which I am dealing with to model my universe (for example, Student, Tuition for a school or Order, item for a procurement etc.)2) Lookup Tables.
