What is the proposed idea/solution?I'd like to be able to change the email address notifications are sent to when someone completes a form.How does is solve the user problems?There are multiple team members and we have a shared email address for user submissions but emails can only be sent to the admin. It would especially help with multiple forms each with a different team contact or where there are dedicated email addresses for forms.How was this validated?All emails come to me, and then I have to forward them to the team.Who is the target audience?Teams

What is the proposed idea/solution?Add a new field called Rate—a number/currency column that can add a suffix (custom field) such as a unit. Same as how the Currency field works, where we can add a custom prefix, but this one adds a custom suffix. Additionally, we should still be able to format them (integer, decimal, currency).For example:5 grams9.81 m/s$9.99 /bundleHow does this solve the user problems?This would remove the need to create a field for the unit and concatenate it using a formula field, allowing two fewer fields in a view.Who is the target audience?Everyone, most especially those who use Airtable for information, research, retail, and inventory.

What is the proposed idea/solution?When you link a field to a Record ID in the Automations some of the Fields let you toggle between static and dynamic some don't. I feel like this should be an option for all fields. That way all fields can be updated with. How does is solve the user problems?When a form is submitted to update a record with some fields not offering that option it updates the WHOLE record. Not just the fields on the form.   How was this validated?I tried the automation... Some fields have static and dynamic options and others do not. Who is the target audience?Anyone who sets up a form to update a specific record in another table.

When viewing an individual record, the Field Type icons are really making it confusing for my users. In particular, the Checkbox icon looks like a checkbox that has already been checked. So my users look at the record below, and assume the project is “done”. Similarly, the Single Select icon looks like a dropdown menu, and users keep trying to click it. Honestly, I don’t now why you need to identify the field type at all. But at very least, we need icons that don’t look like data or like UI elements.

What is the proposed idea/solution?In field settings for a button, be able to add conditions to be matched to display the button (if conditions are not met, button is hidden).How does is solve the user problems?At some stage of any process, you want to be able to display action button based on the status of the step, and/or on other field values. WORKDAY() is definitely one of the most critical function added for PM usage on Airtable - However I would sincerely ask if there is a plan for us to be able to really use a proper holiday table resource to supply the holidays list instead of using all sort of workaround?

What is the proposed idea/solution?Seperate the revision history from the comments sectionHow does is solve the user problems?For me personally, I find it challenging to track the comments amid the revision history. We are a team that often make many changes to an item, and the scrolling required to get to an original comment is oddly time-consuming. The revision history is amazing, but since they are combined, it makes it more challenging. How was this validated?My own experiences. Who is the target audience?Everyone

For calendars, timelines, etc. on the interface editor, we currently have three options to configure the initial view:Closest job to todayTodayExact dateMy problem is that the only dynamic settings (1 and 2) put the focus of the timeline/calendar in the future.  For example, in a 2-week calendar view, focusing on "Today" aligns the current week to the top row, and next week to the bottom row.  This is great for forward-facing projects, but I need the calendar to show this week and last week.  The only solution is to use option 3 (Exact date) and do update the hard-coded date at the beginning of each week.  I have an alarm scheduled to remind me to do this for all of my dashboards each Monday morning... not ideal.I propose a few more options/settings for the initial view in these interface elements.  The simplest would be the ability to modify one of the existing dynamic dates--for example "[One week after] the closest job to today"

What is the proposed idea/solution?Please add an option for expand from just # of days selection in the automation trigger timeframe, but hours as well. This would make it easy to overrride all automatic (but delayed 1 day) emails from being sent out by Airtable at midnight GMT.How does is solve the user problems?Not ideal in most businesses for automatic (but delayed one day) emails to go out at midnight GMT. We want automatic emails to seem generated by a real person in real-time, not adversely sent too early in the morning and by a automatic system.How was this validated?...Who is the target audience?Any business that sends automated emails to clients/customers!

What is the proposed idea/solution?When you're using a List interface and you click into record details with a full screen detail layout, it would be helpful if your scroll location in the list was saved so when you go back to the list you don't have to scroll again.

Is it possible to restrict sharing, exporting, etc of a base for collaborators? This would be similar to the google docs functionality that restricts sharing/exports/printing of certain documents. If not to restrict, could it be possible for admins to receive an alert when link sharing is enabled or when a base is downloaded?

I’m the primary builder of our team’s base, and I want my team members to feel more comfortable contributing records. In a single base, it would be tremendously helpful to have space in the GUI for adding documentation about specific base elements such as… individual tables - i would use this to explain the purpose of a table, identify the content steward, and highlight important linkages individual views - i would use this to explain to my team members why this view exists, list the URLs of where it’s embedded offsite, and things to consider before making changes columns - lower priority for me, but i could see this being useful metadata for users who consume data via API In the meantime, I’m adding an extra table for my base called “About this base” so that I can explain to my team what’s up with the various references and views AirTable keeps getting better and better. Huge fan here. You guys rock!

Org charts are immensely useful, especially for recreating sitemaps such as in my use case.It would also be immensely useful to be able to share/embed the block without having to share the entire table, but in the meantime an “Export to PDF” option should do it.Also useful for exporting to PDF:a toggle to expand all recordsmultiple “secondary” fields, in the same way Kanban views work.

Hi. I’m setting up a timetable of 1, 2 and 3-day conferences and already posted that I need to show the duration of an event as well as the start date. Some of these events are also regular meetings - weekly, monthly, annually; or on a specific day of the week/ day/ month - 1st Tuesday, last Friday, that sort of thing. I really need a fully configurable repeating option to add as part of a ‘from & to’ date entry!

What is the proposed idea/solution?Currently, there's no way for an element (i.e. a Kanban element) to be connected to multiple filter elements.This would be useful for example if a user needs to create an interface with multiple sections. The interface having a main general filter affecting all the elements in each section, and each section containing secondary particular filter elements.The connection here would be "AND" between the filter elements.How does is solve the user problems?This would allow making the interface much simpler, instead of repeating the same filter elements over and over again across all the filter elements of the page, a general filter would be set at the beginning of the interface and the following optional/secondary filters would be left for each section across the interface.Currently the interfaces with this approach are super repetitive and a user needs to apply a single filter multiple times. How was this validated?...Who is the target audience?...

I use Airtable to log assets,This means a lot of very similar columns to log data.It would be amazing to be able to use the field manager to select a number of columns (Fields) and duplicate them, meaning it would just need re-naming. But all the Options for multi selections etc. would carry across.This would be an amazing feature for me!

Would it be possible to make it impossible to create blank records in Airtable - it’s so easy to create these that bases become littered with them. It’s even worse if you accidentally add a record in a grouped view because linked record are created which are otherwise blank. One way to do this would be to give the user the option of making one or more fields ‘required’ - and without them the record would not submit. I find having to constantly delete such empty records quite annoying!

Today you can add a horizontal line divider.It would be useful to have the same for a vertical divider

I love the ability to create a custom name to my conditional statement, however, it becomes difficult to debug when there is a problem because the Run History does not use the custom name.  Please update the system to use the custom conditional name when looking at the Run History.

I’ve recently migrated our organization’s entire product roadmap and planning infrastructure to Airtable. Overall we’re extremely happy with the product.One little thing that is absolutely driving me nuts is the limitation with the predefined zoom levels for the visual timeline view. If I’m interested in viewing only one year at a time, I have to use the 5-year preset to really be able to see everything with enough context for it to be digestible. It would be nice to have either a 3-year preset OR an open-ended adjustable width slider so we can customize the view to fit any screen size.Thank you very much for your consideration!
