My Airtable has two columns: Start Date and End Date. When I use the calendar to select a date, the default for both Start Date and End Date is today. What I would like instead: After I select a Start Date and I click on End Date to select a date, display the start date rather than today.Reason: I pick a start date in the future (maybe months, years in the future). The calendar view is helpful to ensure I select the right day. When I pick an end date, that end date must be after the start date. With the current process, I must first tab through the calendar to the start date and then continue to tab through the calendar to the end date.

It would be time-saving to be able to do a simple ascending/descending sort based on the file names within an attachment field. It could be a setting accessible by the “Customize field type” window with 3 options.“Drag and Drop”, “A→Z”, “Z→A” Note: The “Drag and Drop” option could be the default which keeps the original upload order, or the latest manual drag and drop reordering. Who would like to have this feature?

It would be amazing to be able to see which fields and views rely on a given field (via linkages, formulas, and filters). Currently when we want to change a field’s type, format, values, or delete the field altogether, we are blind to which other fields or views will be impacted by that change. To help address this for our bases, we have built a separate metadata base to visually map all the metadata of our other bases. We have a nightly process that crawls the schema of our bases and builds out a map of all Bases, Tables, Fields and Views, including which fields directly rely on other fields. Now, whenever we make a change to a field, we always check the metadata base to understand what other fields and parts of the system will be impacted, so we can ensure there are no hidden breakages and the base continues to work as expected.

I had an idea for an airtable integration that I think would be super useful. I have an airtable with multiple different tables and for each of those I have a view that pulls up the specific records that require action from myself or other team members. I’d love to see a dashboard with various metrics that are each red/yellow/green depending on whether they need attention or not. [Was going to attach a screenshot of a concept but discourse won’t let me] I know that Airtable has a block for metrics which is kind of okay but doesn’t quite work the way I need it to. The other thing that would be super useful is to be able to click on the metric and be taken directly into that view. Thoughts?

The power of AirTable is to link record between each other but there is no / few view to display and edit these links. I would love a flow chart displaying links like Node-RED (usecase: dialog / conversation management) I would love a view like D3.js Tree Graph (usecase: MindMapping)

When I go to output a grid view , I can save it as a .csv file, print it to a printer, or “print” to a pdf file. I’d also like to be able to save it as a Microsoft Word / Rich Text Format (RTF). Additionally, I’d like this functionality when I “print” a page designer report.

Hi All, I have been testing out the rich text option and it has been great so far. I place a lot of dates in my notes section and would like to have a date option in the Rich Text box. Is this possible and does anyone else have a need similar to this?

I have repeatedly accidentally lost data as I entered it in a form. Here is what happens. I am filling out a form. I am about half way through. I realize I don’t know the value I should enter for a particular field. In my browser, I navigate out of the form to go find out this information. I come back to the form an the form is now empty. When I navigate away, I would like a warning “Do you want to save your data?”.

I think It would be very powerfull to let adding any kind of block (e.g. graph, timeline, map) inside a Page Designer block. I’m experiencing the need to display a lot of information related to record in a Page Designer with the necessity to add graphs displaying additional information (related to records of course). I have a number of fields with links to records in other tables. When the user clicks the plus button in such fields, a pick list appears. The first column is the primary key of the referenced table, and then the next few columns of the view (hidden or unhidden fields). I would like to customize this and specifically set the columns and their widths in the pick list. Before: After:

Just discovered the product and love it, however we need to be able to create bases based on Zapier zaps and I was disappointed to see that pretty basic feature as far as integration goes is missing, I hope you consider adding it in the future. I also hope to see a more condensed list view of bases (I do see you can switch between grids and lists). We won’t have large bases, but we will have many. Thanks you

I wish I could write formulas with line breaks so that it’s easier to read, comprehend, and modify. For instance, I wish the first formula could be written like the second. It currently returns an error. I am loving the Page Designer Block. For Destiny Search Project it is going to save us HOURS of work, and also give us forms that we have until now dreamed of being able to create easily.I have seen the request for an embed of blocks which I also would love and will be helpful (I just signed up for the beta) The next feature I would like to see is that when a Page is created in the Page Designer it has a Field in the record that is associated with it. This would be similar to how attachments work for pdf but would be a direct link to the page design for that specific record.In our use case we have set up an awesome form that we can give teams when they are dispatched on a search assignment, it includes team members, map, and information. Currently, though we have to open page designer, then find the right record in order to print. If it was embedded as part of the record it would be much more easily accessible.Again thanks for creating a tool that has been game changing in our organiza

For the URL field type, I’d like to be able to set a field option so clicking on the URL opens it in a new window/tab.

There doesnt seems to be any block for Funnel reporting where you would show things like opportunities progressing.

I’ve found the need for an Eval() (Evaluate Function) that would allow you to have a different formula for each record in a table. For example, if you have a field called Formula Text with the following data for the first 3 records: TRIM(UPPER({Input Field 1})) CONCATENATE({Input Field 2}, " ",{Input Field 3}) CONCATENATE("Expiration Date: ",{Input Field 4}) The Eval() function would allow you to create a new field called Formula Result, who’s properties are set to Formula with the following formula: Eval({Formula Text}), and the results for the first 3 records would be (I’ve omitted sample data and have just performed the functions in the formula to the names of the Input Fields): INPUT FIELD 1 Input Field 2 Input Field 3 Expiration Date: Input Field 4

I really love the Page Designer block but found another feature idea that would be very useful. Right now when you use Page Designer it’s for a specific record. I would love a way to design a printable page for a view or table.

I’ll be honest, after all the high profile hacks in recent years, I’m pretty reluctant to hand over credit card details on some random payment form for some company I barely know. At least through PayPal it’s all connected in one place with a company I (kinda) trust. Not sure I’m willing to hand over CC details to you guys yet, which is sad because this is an awesome product. Either that or add a payment option through the App Store.

Today, we really dove into the Page Designer Block. And beyond our deep desire for traditional print layout metaphors, we have the following concerns/needs:Though PSDs preview within an Attachments field, they are not supported within the Page Designer Block.Though flattened TIFFs are supported by the Attachments field, layered TIFFs are not supported.When printing from the Page Designer Block, blank pages are inserted after every page of data. This requires manual clean-up in Acrobat or similar.Though PDFs are supported well when using Airtable online, they are rendered at a very low resolution when printed to PDF via the Page Designer Block. We require sharp PDFs, and are thus required to export our PDFs as images if we want them at usable fidelity once printed.

I want to be able to archive and not display certain views for old clients, but I don’t want to delete those views. So adding a Filter on Views dropdown will allow me to select a common field like ‘Status’ with condition does not contain ‘Archive’ to accomplish hiding saved Views that are no longer relevant but worth keeping for future reference.

Currently if you have a linked record field in a table, the New record creation window for the linked record defaults to the first view in that respective table. With the option of ‘limit record selection to view’, the default view of the first view in the table doesn’t change. Am I incorrect for believing this specific record creation window should change to the view that the record selection is limited to? My current work around is having an otherwise useless view that is only viewable by me as the first view in the linked table, so the users of my base aren’t confused by 47 irrelevant fields. Change my mind. 🙂

Can you add an option to forms where we can add and hide a conditional logic HoneyPot type question, even if it is a check box hidden from view, so we can weed out bots trying to use our forms? We can then make all bots go to another gridview and delete them. Having a Conditional Logic choice would be more Ideal, but at least this can help us in the meantime. Thanks, Greg

I am using AirTable to manage a campaign. I love the graph blocks, but cannot use them for reporting or presentations because the labels and legends are so small as to be unreadable. Can you please add a way to increase the size and orientation of the labels? Bonus points: Allow us to title the graphs!
