I use Airtable for work and sign in with my work email address. I also use Airtable for personal use and sign in with my own email address. Unless I’m missing something, I have to login/out each time I want to switch between accounts. It would be great if there was support for multiple logins, similar to Google accounts.

The updated CSV Import Block as announced in What’s New is terrific — great work, Airtablers! (Rather than simply add records, import via the Block can be used to update existing records, as well.) It would be nice to have some way to indicate which records are new, updated, or unchanged following an import, but that’s a medium-minor quibble.

Ctrl-C/Ctrl-V works fine to create a new linked record by pasting a value into a linked record field for the first record created. If the user attempts to add a second linked record through copy/paste, though, the second record replaces the first instead of creating another linked record. My preference would be for Airtable to pay attention to how the linked-record field is configured: If ‘Allow linking to multiple records’ is toggled off, subsequent copy/paste actions should replace any existing record; if it is toggled on, subsequent actions should result in the creation of additional records. However, implementing such functionality at this point would likely disrupt existing bases, so I’ll for the next-best thing: A keyboard shortcut (Shift-Ctrl-V, perhaps?) to paste a value into a linked record field that will always[1] result in the creation of a new linked record. …with one exception: If the field is configured not to allow linking to multiple records, and a linked record alre

I would like more than the default 7 colors. I frequently have need for more and it becomes confusing when colors start to repeat.

This feels like a bug because it is totally confusing as a user that you can’t add rows when applying multiple groupings. You simply don’t get the + icon on the last row. I eventually figured out that I had to get rid of the other level of grouping so I can add records, but now I have lost the structure I was trying to use to organize my sheet. I have no idea why this isn’t supported, but it’s pretty broken in the current implementation.

Hello lovely people, I’ll be building a database soon which will have a “Date Range” field, however, the date range is simply a monthly range that needs to occur annually for infinitude. Basically I need a calendar system, but without the year - as each year will be the same. Is it possible to loop such data into the calendar view, so that when the calendar view is viewed by a user, they’ll see various entries listed for that date range? I suspect this isn’t possible, so have logged it as a feature request. :slightly_smiling_face:

April 2018 - Please enable deletion of records while in expansion view. While viewing linked records you have to switch to their real table and then find them to delete them. It would be so much easier if you could delete them from the expanded view (including expanded view from clicking on linked records to view them)

Hello! I love Airtable and use it to run my entire business just about. We are looking to start printing our own checks to pay vendors and subcontractors and would like to setup a page designer template to do so, but there is no font option to print the MICR encoded numbers at the bottom of the checks. Any chance this is something that can be implemented? I know Google Fonts doesn’t support it but maybe add a feature to support this font or support the users system fonts?

Airtable - Support Reordering record links You can reorder record links by expanding a cell within a linked record field, and clicking and dragging the links. the tutoiral use self hand order. If the record links are huge like 30-100. hope can add reorder by sort, search, if-else, self-order, and add color

Would be great if you could add tabs for blocks since all blocks are shown on the same page and it’s a little hard to organize them.

There needs to be a block created that allows for custom email notifications. I am using this for Project Management and I need Airtable to send a list of items that are assigned to collaborators on a daily or weekly basis. Anyone who is assigned a task will get daily or weekly emails with a list of the titles of each task. There are a ton of similar requests for this already. Maybe making it a block would bump people up to the paid plan as this is a very sought after feature that would allow you to compete with a project management tool such as Basecamp. Thank you!

I don’t know if it has always been asked, but it would be great, when we add a date in a date field on iOS, to be able to select directly the year of the date we want to add … I just spend few minutes to select a date of an event that happened in 2012. Without the year in the menu, there are no point of reference so we can know in “what year” we are currently searching a date. The iOS App’ is far from being perfect… Many things are missing but this one is particularly annoying when working on the App’.

As in other views (I.e., Grid, Kanban), I would like the ability to customize which fields are hidden/visible in the Calendar view. When embedding a calendar view on a website, ALL fields for each record are visible in the expanded view of that record. I would like the ability to select which fields can be seen in that expanded record via the “Hide Fields” function for Calendar views. Practical example: I am using the Calendar view on my website to show bookings for a facility. For my records, I have customer contact information tied to a record. However, I don’t want that visible to the public on the Calendar view. I only want the date/time fields and a few other select fields visible in that particular view.

Hi all – I’m trying to make a formula that creates a Things URL, and one thing I’m bumping up against is properly replacing special characters with the URI encoded version (like %20 for space, for example.) It would be great to have something like JavaScript’s encodeURI as a formula function. In the meantime, I’m using the workaround described in this thread. Thanks!

If I use a Lookup on a field of Single Select, the resulting lookup should take on the characteristics of a Single Select in so much as it should take on the colors of the parent field and be able to be used in a Kanban view. I don’t expect that it be editable but I do expect those other things. Having the lookup field be just text/numeral is too basic.

On the Page Designer, since you are already using a lot of Google Fonts, would be great to add the Barcode Fonts to the list so that would then be an end-around for being able to print out barcodes on products. I noticed the barcode fonts aren’t listed, but most other Google Fonts are.

The right column of the expanded view where the revision history and comments are shown needs some UX improvements. Currently I feel I cannot invite clients of ours to use the comments as means of communication, because this view is far too cluttered with irrelevant information of rev. history. It’d be great if I was able to only see comments, next to each other. Even better would be if I could actively toggle on to see the revision history. In my context, comments are far more useful than the rev. history.

There are some feature requests here that can be generalized by this feature: Allow typed lists fields. That is, fields that are a list of values of some type. For example, multiple checkboxes, multiple urls, etc. Currently just a few types accept multiple values: selects, attachments and links to other records. Why not make this more consistent: every type can be single or multiple, that is a restriction on cardinality orthogonal to the type itself. I understand this is a bit at odds with modelling one to many relationships between tables, but it’s very convenient for simple fields (you already recognized it by providing multiple attachments and selects) and avoid having to cascade delete or removing orphans after deletion.

As my base builds it’s slowly becoming more evident that a node diagram can help me visualize all of the relations created. Does anyone know if it’s possible to do this with Airtable? If not, then I guess this would be a feature request. Thanks Dave

I’m currently being notified every time someone comments on a record I’m associated with. The problem is that its a very loose (though necessary) association, and I really don’t need to be seeing every single comment that is made on hundreds of different records – it makes it pretty much impossible to get to the actual mentions of my name (which I do want to see immediately). Would love a way to make it so, by default, I only receive notifications for records when I am personally @ mentioned.

I would like to be able to create Kanban Stacks that are customized like Views are. For example I want the following stacks: Show only {Column Name} ** Show only {Column Name2} = Unique Text *** Show only {Column Name3} = Unique Text The above would give me a grouped view, based upon 3 factors across 3 columns. By allowing each stack to be unique based upon the above, I could build an amazingly killer dashboard.

I hope I’m in the right thread…I’m looking for a way to have an entry at least partially auto-populate when I scan the bar code—specifically books and movies. I’d love to simply scan the isbn and have the book or movie title, and author if possible, appear in the base I have open. Then I can go back in later to add any tags or fields that the isbn of course could not auto generate. This would make my life SO much easier. Is there a way to already do this? Even a workaround that isn’t too cumbersome should be fine. My search within the forums came up empty, but I not know if my search terms are right. If there isn’t currently a way, can we add that to the list?

Hi, Is there a system to check if one or more date ranges in a list are overlapping, and so to avoid inserting new records with overlapping dates with old ones? this might be very useful when using airtable for rental services or dealing with appointments. Thanks in advance
