I just started using Airtable and I love it. But the Tuturial Help wont dissappear. I thought if i clicked on all the options it would eventually go away but no joy.

Is it possible to only have a month and year in the date field. Ex: 07/2021. One step further, a range of only MM/YYYY-MM/YYYY. Ex: 07/2020-06/2021

Hello, i need help with integrating with asana. I have set it up using integromat successfully to update a task, mark it as complete/incomplete or create a new task. Now, i would like to create a option whereby, i could delete an asana task when the record that created it in the first place is deleted in the airtable. The flow would that i created a record, which in turn created a task in asana. Now, for any reason, if a delete the record, i would like the task to be deleted as well. I need help with the filter specifically how could integromat recognize the task that should be deleted. Kindly guide.

hi! i have a table called “roles” with role name, company name and a separate table called “applicants” that is a form that users should be able to select a role name + company combination and drop their resume. i have it set up to link to the roles table, but in the form, it only shows the role title, not company. so when a user goes to this form, they can only select the title without seeing what company it is for. how can i have it show both? attached is a screenshot of what it looks like in airtable and what i would like it to look like (in google tables).

Question: is it possible to sync multiple different tables into a single table? Ie: sync tables from multiple marketing teams into one aggregate view of all marketing plans?

Hi, in my base I am unable to view PDF attachments. I am using Chrome. It works on firefox and works for my firends who are also on chrome. I can view docx / images. I dont have any extensions running and have reset chrome to the default settings. Would love some help!

Hello, I am looking to create a script triggered when a condition is met that opens a static URL and Clicks a Button - or any process that would accomplish the same. My Problem I am using Stacker as for my web-app and Airtable (AT) as my DB. When a field is updated in Stacker, the data is being sent to AT, triggering an AT automation that updates other fields within the same record however, AT is sending a RESULT back to Stacker before the AT Automation is complete. This means the data being displayed to my users is inaccurate and the app not usuable unless I find a workaround. I have contacted Stacker, but they are not able to provide a solution - so, I’m now asking here. My Solution Have a script triggered using a field affected by the automation that opens the Airtable update page in Stacker and presses the “Start Update” button. While this would require my users to refresh the page to see the updated info, its the best solution I can come up with until I can move away from Stacker.

Hi everyone, I’m having a lot of trouble setting up a Zapier-Gmail-Airtable integration. Basically, I want to be able to do the following: Create a PDF of an email that is sent to a holder Gmail account (will only receive the emails that I want and forward to the account); Find a record in Airtable that matches on email or sender’s name Update the record in Airtable I was wondering if anyone has done this particular setup before or otherwise has experience with using Zapier to PDF an email (this is where I am struggling the most). Any help/suggestions would be much appreciated!

Hi, We have a base set up where we track our agents appraisals, listings, sold properties etc. The appraisals tab is currently set to be viewed by everyone however I need to hide it from everyone that has read only access so only administration (editor and above) can see the tab/views. Is there a way we can do this? I can’t remove the agents as we have automations running where I require them to have access to the base and I can’t remove the tab completely from the base because that then affects our agent dashboards in apps. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you, Sarah

I can see there are some threads on this. But where is it up too? Is it possible to limit the records a user can see. I work with a number of contractors. When I allocate a project to them it would be good if I could give them access to airtable but limit the records they can see. Ideally when I select the contractor in a field they get access to that record. Is this possible?

I am not able to select a date in the first field on this form: End of Day Report. I have never had issues before and have been using the form for awhile. The issue is only in form view. When I go to grid view, I have no problem inputting data. Any ideas?

I currently have a date as the intitial column in my form. I then have a separate column in which I have been hand entering the previous records date in order to have a third column with a formula to figure out the number of days between those two dates. Is there any way to have this done automatically without me having to hand ender the previous record date.

i have a date field which works ok - except that for no apparent reason it won’t save 4/7/2013. i have tried entering other days in July 2013 using the date picker but nothing. it will save today’s date. On another record (on the same view) the date field is working as it should. Any suggestions?

Hi all, The “+Add or Import” links at the top in left and right in a base header as flashing AND the link doesn’t work. That’s the only place. Any ideas? It’s rather annoying. Uploaded video to youtube: thanks Ben

Hi, I am trying to import a google sheet where the one columns is all URLs. In order to make the URL column readable, I made each cell the word LINK and then linked that to the actual URL. To put that into HTML terms, <a href="http://www.airtable.com">LINK</a> (I am not sure how Google sheets stores that internally.) Unfortunately, airtable converts that all into either the tag LINK (with rounded corners and pretty color) or the relative URL “link” if you assign the type URL to the column. I suspect that on import already, Airtable discarded the URL information and just kept the link text? Is there anything I need to tweak this on import to get the desired effect? Going through all thousand rows an hand-unpacking things back to just the URL is not really an option.

I have a unique need and I’m hoping you all have some ideas because I haven’t figured out a solution. I work for an organization who is recording symptoms for a group of people (clients). We also want to record symptoms that volunteers have experience with. Then, the question: How can I compare these two sets of data and find volunteers that have similar symptoms of the clients in order to best matcha volunteer to a client. Not sure if this could be done with an app, a script, junction table, some sort of data export… any thoughts? By the way, I have a whole base for volunteers and a whole base for clients. Hi, i have two tables. Keywords (2 Views: 1st “All records”, 2nd “Records without topic”) Topics After importing new keywords to the Keywords Table i 'm using a script to link all keywords without a topic to a topic which i define while i’m running the script. The first time i’m using the script - f.e. i’ve just imported 3 Keywords (Keyword 1, Keyword 2, Keyword 3) and after that running the script to link them to “Topic 1” of the Topics Table - everything works as expected. But if i import another set of keywords (Keyword 4, Keyword 5, Keyword 6) and run the script again - again i like to link all of the just imported keywords to “Topic 1” - the first three keywords of the first import gets unlinked from topic 1 and the new imported keywords gets linked to “Topic 1” instead. Seems i’m making a mistake in the script but i have no clue what to do to make it work. Could anybody help me out here? Thanks a lot. The idea is that on a separate table, I want to calculate sell-through rate. So at any given time, I want to pull up this table, and see how many records I have across all my inventory tables. These are organized onto separate tables based on category. In the next column, I want to be able to calculate the quantity of sales from a particular month within my sales table. My sales table already records the month each sale was made, so I just want the total quantity from the particular month on my sell-through rate table. Any ideas?

Hello - I am trying to use the CREATED_TIME field in a formula and am getting a different date: Created time field show Date format as Local 2021-01-30 9:59pm When I use this in a formula: FirstName &" “& LastName &” "&DATETIME_FORMAT(CREATED_TIME(), ‘YYYY-MM-DD’) it shows FirstName LastName 2021-01-31 I’d appreciate any insight on why these dates are showing as 2 different days. Thank you
