Has anyone upgraded to Pro from the Free Version of Airtable? How do you like it? Has it been significantly better?

Hello, I am looking to use Airtable to: Register a volunteer to teach a yoga class Enter information about the location of the class Enter information about each class held at each location Enter information about students who attend each class. My current base has 4 tables: Teachers, Locations, Classes, Students Currently, I use a form to sign up the teacher Auto direct to another form that they use to input their location Choose their name from the list to relate to location When they are ready to put in a class, Use a form to add a class choose their location from a list to relate to class My issue comes when it is time to enter students. I need to be able to let the teacher add students related to a class. These are drop in classes where the number of attendees is unkown Each student is to be anonymous so pre-registering to add records wont work The teacher needs to be able to input multiple records within a relatively short period of time (I wonder if the 5 second refresh o

Hi, I am a seasoned Filemaker Developer. I am starting a new project where I want to offer a sports facility, they rent out four Sand Courts for BeachVolley, BeachTennis and other sports. In the basics they would have on their site a calendar, open time slots, a registering system… then further on probably links to payments for the reservation. All this in Brazil. My question… would you write this in Airtable… Is there a already made Service that is not too expensive? How do you see a project like that?

I have a larger base (for Airtable), about 30,000 rows and want to change one field with about 60 options to single select, to help prevent human error in the future when adding new items to this base. When I attempt to change this field from short line text to single select, it times out and asks me to refresh the page, and the change is not saved after several attempts. I’ve tried to turn off the “color” feature to make it easier to process, and still no luck. Is there a limit to this feature? What am I missing?

Hi everyone, I am not able to install sendgrid. I clicked Marketplace>>Sendgrid>>Install. But nothing happens when I clicked install button. I have a pro plan, and would like to sent customized e-mails to my customers using Sendgrid. Any help is much appreciated. Best, Kathleen

I am wondering if there is a feature in Airtable that would auto create a new row when the last available row in the sheet has data entered in any column other than the auto numbered ID column that I have set in the first column position. For example, Lets say on row 6300 - the first field has the ID number 6300 due to the auto number feature, but there is no data in any of the fields that follow - is there a way that airtable can add record nunber 6301 when data gets entered in any of the fields that follow the 6300 record? Hi ! I am currently trying to upload many images from google drive to airtable, using API (Google Drive API v3 and Airtable API Wrapper). Sometimes, it works but not always. It uploads the image and displays this image -> Then, transforming that display into the image (case when it works) or blank (case when it doesn’t work). If someone can explain to me how to fix that, I will be very grateful :slightly_smiling_face: Some precisions : I am working with Google Drive API because I have like 500-600 images and I needed a web repository to upload images with URL on Airtable.

Fields added to the page designer in edit mode include the option to change font parameters (font, size, weight); except if the field happens to be a barcode field. One cannot change font parameters for barcode fields, does not show on side bar. My work around has been to temporarily change the barcode field to a text field, change the font parameters on page designer, then change back to a barcode field. Has anyone else found a different work around that does not require field type change? Or, are the font parameter settings for barcode fields located somewhere else?

Hi, We use Airtable as an editorial calendar for our team. Writers have their own views where they can only see posts assigned to them, which is great. But we don’t want them to able to view any other views (including the ‘all’ view). Is this possible? In short we only want collaborators to be able to view a single view (their own). It seems like pretty basic functionality but I can’t figure it out.

Is it possible to filter a table to a subset of records, then individually remove specific records from the filtered list without creating a new filter? Something like the “Omit Record” command in Filemaker.

I love that i can add multiple photos in one record. When I add the PHOTO field to Page Designer, is there a way to independently control the size of each photo? Let’s say I have 2 photos in a record… could I make 1 photo the main photo and print it large to almost fill the page and print the other photo smaller in a different location? rather than putting both/all photos into 1 field, which forces them to scale smaller than I want… ***FEATURE REQUEST!!!

Hi All, We have product information (food industry) in Airtable and often need to contact vendors to clarify information, get updates, etc. I want to be able to email a question to the vendor and allow them to answer in a way that will import to their base (each has their own base). It’s cumbersome keeping track of the status and answers doing this separately in Gmail. So far I’ve: Set up a pending/complete field so we can flag the records that need answers Created a “Question” field and an “Answer” field Determined a few other fields (such as product name, UPC, etc) that should be included in the email. Is there a way that I can limit them to only editing the “Answer” field? Is it better to create a table for this function in each base or to create an “Email Launcher” base and link it to all the vendor bases, (then be able to select the base we want to execute from)? I don’t want to automate the sending of the emails, just to have a solid mechanism to handle the communications. All

Hi, i love having a LONG NOTE field. When I put this field into Page Designer for a report, however, if there is more text than the fixed box size, the text is truncated. Is there a way to have the text either, 1. automatically scale to fit the box or 2. have the text box automatically enlarge, even if it means extending to a 2nd page for that record item?

As in I have a lot of tables in my base, too many to really sort individually dragging and dropping. Is there a simple feature to sort tables (not records) by alphabet etc? I can’t seem to find it. Thank you!

Dear Airtable community, I want to share a base but the view overview on the left hand side collapsed so it is not noticeable. Alternatively I could also just share a dedicated few but I also want the apps for the base to be included. Can I add them to a view? Sharing the base with the view overview collapsed by default would be better since the link has already been created and shared. Thank you!!

Hi—I’m wondering if there is a way to remove all the attachments in a field from a subset of records. I have created a view of records with this subset based on the age of the record, and anything that is in this view can safely have the attachments removed (we’re on a Pro plan and I’m trying to do some maintenance to not use up all of our storage space). I’m thinking there is a way to do this via script, and perhaps even more useful, add that script to an automation. TIA!

We pay hundreds of 1099 independent contractors for doing storm response work. We reimburse them for expenses and time. Is there a way to export the data to each one individually so they are receiving a breakdown of their payment?

So, I use Airtable to keep track of concerts I book. I have 3 tabs in my base (SHOWS, VENUES, LOCAL BANDS). Once a concert has happened, I archive it which separates it from the rest. I like to keep all the info for each show available so I can refer to it in the future if needed. My SHOWS tab is linked to the other 2 tabs to easily populate the cells. The problem I’m running into is on my LOCAL BANDS & VENUES tabs, every show I have confirmed for a certain band stays in the “Confirmed Shows” column regardless if it’s active or archived. So eventually, it will look like some of these bands have 10 upcoming shows with me when in reality, they might have 1 or 2 coming up, with 8 in the past. What I want to do is figure out a way to have that record leave the “confirmed shows” column once it’s been archived without deleting them from the archived event. Is this even possible??
