Hey there, I just started using Airtable today and want to go ballistic :grinning_face_with_big_eyes: I have two tables Availability with a customer, number field (w), number field (max) [customer: “username”; kw: 6, max: 42] Tasks with several fields, but specific also customer, number field (kw), number field (value), [customer: “username”; kw: 6; value: 4] My Goal: I want to populate with a complex lookup like - ((<Tasks.value>/<Availability.max>)*100) WHERE (<Availability.customer> = <Tasks.customer> AND <Availability.w> = <Tasks.kw>) So basically, I want to see how much percent of max Availability for a specific customer is a single Task taking up. Any Idea how to solve this? (Which plan is needed?)

When printing from my Mac computer from the page designer app, my page prints exactly as I’ve designed it with a font weight of 500. But when I print the same page from a PC (but on the exact same printer), my page’s text prints as though the font weight has suddenly been changed to 100. It is very faint. This happens on two different PC’s, but not on my Mac. Any ideas?

Hi, I have a table where I have calculated dates using a formula so many days from another field. This is an if statement because there are different situations. I have used the datetime format so it is a date. IF({Campaign Class}=‘Minor’,DATETIME_FORMAT(DATEADD( {Execution Start},-98,‘Days’), ‘DD/MM/YY’),IF({Campaign Class}=‘Small’,DATETIME_FORMAT(DATEADD( {Execution Start},-154,‘Days’), ‘DD/MM/YY’),IF({Campaign Class}=‘Medium’,DATETIME_FORMAT(DATEADD( {Execution Start},-210,‘Days’), ‘DD/MM/YY’),IF({Campaign Class}=‘Large’,DATETIME_FORMAT(DATEADD( {Execution Start},-238,‘Days’), ‘DD/MM/YY’),“TBA”)))) Issue us when I try and use this date to populate a gannt chart it says it is not recognizing this as a date. Every day I keep coming up with new label names for my tables but i want to keep the names consistent across all tables. What is the simplest way to achieve this ? Also, I am willing to do manual work if that’s what it would take. I wanna know the ideas. Please do not flag my post. This is a genuine request.

We’re reaching our space limit (not record limit), if I delete the attachment field and attachments, will that free up space? If it does, do we know when or how long it takes for airtable to sync and free up space?

Hi Everyone. I use the Airtable Charts a Lot. And here I want a small update in charts. You can see the marked data is coming from “group by” and price. I want airtable to show the price in the end of the graph line with the same color. So I won’t need to hover over to find which line represents which PRICE. Hope I explained it correctly. I started using Airtable a few years ago to create a set of local resource directories re: COVID-19 I have public views which I share. I’ve now got free Pro access for a year. I created a block that embeds a table’s form link. The share link expands to a URL with the query string blocks=hide So, the block doesn’t showing up in my public view. Removing the query string or changing ‘hide’ to ‘show’ doesn’t work. ‘Show’ displays the blocks panel with a spinning wheel and an error dialog in my table view: An error has occurred - Invalid permissions. What should I do to make the form visible on the same web page as the table view? Thanks, Paola

I am stuck on something that shouldn’t be as hard as I’m making it. I have several formula fields in my base that are calculating dates based on a # of days entered. I want to put all of these dates together - but I’m having a minor issue. Some projects have 1 date, others have 3 - up to 4 potential dates that need to be concatenated. I have a simple formula written that concatenates them "IF( {FP 1st}, CONCATENATE({FP 1st}, ", ",{Fp 2nd}, ", ",{Fp 3rd}, ", “, {FP 4th}))” - so if the FP 1st isn’t blank, put all of the values together. The issue I’m having is that for the projects that don’t have FP 2nd or higher, I’m still getting the commas. Normally this isn’t a big issue, but this field is going on a shared view for clients. Is there a way to write an IF formula to tackle this? Or set it up differently and try to run an array formula on this field?

Please help me with this.

Hi, community :slightly_smiling_face: I’m using Airtable and already had set up a scenario, where changes from Google Calendar events are applied to specific rows in Airtable. Now I would like to set up a similar scenario from the Airtable side. So when something changes in the row it triggers scenario and Google Calendar event would be updated. First I built scenario: Airtable (watch records) -> Google calendar (Update an event). But it doesn’t work because I cannot provide Google Calendar Event ID :frowning: So then I created such a scenario: Airtable (watch records) -> Google calendar (Get events) -> Google calendar (Update an event). So now it is successfully triggered when I change time in the Airtable, successfully finds the event in Google Calendar, but then it doesn’t process by the last module. Did somebody else here such scenarios to update an event from Airtable to Google Calendar?

I was hoping I could leverage the new Sync capability to get around the maximum record limit for a base ( 50 000 for me) but it looks like you designed sync in a way so that this is not possible. My problem is that my company has a huge list of customers/contacts that I would like to leverage within multiple bases in airtable but because of its size that is impractical right now. Do you see any way around this problem?

Hi, I have created a table to keep a record of my share trading, it’s quite basic, just one table which perhaps is my issue. In the column called company which is “multiple select”, there are repetitions as I have bought the same shares multiple times at different prices. What I wish to do is calculate the individual company totals I hold, then calculate the percentage each company holds in my total share holdings. I can do this fairly easily on excel but would like to have a running view of the percentage each company is of my total. I would prefer to do this in the table rather than using an app if possible. Hi friends, Is it possible to have a trial (3 days?) of a paid plan that would enable me to see the actual functionality of the search app? I could not see a why to sign up for any trial without it saying that my trial would cost $$ and renew automatically. I’m writing to see if anyone knows how to create a multi-section survey within Airtable. For example, section 1 would ask for general information (name, email, phone); section 2 would ask 2-3 questions, etc. The goal is to increase the completion rate of a long survey by breaking it into 4-5 sections; each with a few questions only.

Is there a way to have a Comments column with built in questions to ask. I forgot questions to ask when I’m on the call.

Hi there! Sorry if this questions has already been asked but I was wondering if there was a way to use the summary dropdown for a duration column. I have a column for video lengths grouped by series, I’m looking for a way to find the sum of each series but when I go to the summary dropdown at the top of the table, I’m not met with any options that enable that. I do have durations set as “h:mm:ss” but I’m unsure if AirTable has a way of summarizing time. Any suggestions are helpful, thanks!

I’m trying to set up a Gantt block (or possibly multiple Gantt blocks) displaying the timeline of tasks LEADING UP TO a goal date. A project (record) will have tasks with predecessors, and I want to work backwards from the GOAL DATE, with the last task ending just before the GOAL DATE/TIME, and the preceding task ending just before that one needs to start, etc. Can I plot multiple tasks, pertaining to the same record, on a Gantt block? Or, does each of these tasks need it’s own Gantt chart?

One real downside for me is Airtable limiting records to just 50,000. While that will allow me to enter just over a 1 year of our current data I really would like all of our data to remain in the same base for many years to come and scale as we do. That way we can filter and report on many years at a time from one base. I would only require 1-3 user licenses, so enterprise is not an option (plus it starts at $3,000 per month!), so that is way out of our budget. Would be nice if they offered a larger plan that offered more records (like 100,000 records for $35mo., 150,000 records for $50mo., 200,000 records for $65mo., etc. ) Any users run into the 50,000 limit have a work around? Regards!

With the Pro plan, there are “20 synced tables per base”. Does this mean that a table can only send its data out to 20 other tables? Or does it mean that a table can only have incoming data from 20 synced tables? Or both … or something else? Thanks.

Hi I have made a form for colleagues to fill in. Amongst many fields people will manually fill in, I need the form to add the current date to my table. Are there any tactics for doing this?, please? In this case, this field could be hidden from the form, as the value will always be the day on which the form is sent. Alternatively, we could pre-fill the form field with today’s date, but a) I know AirTable doesn’t support pre-filling/default form fields and b) though I know you can pass values through a URL string parameter, I’ve no idea when you can pass a generic TODAY-type value, as opposed to a specific value.
